I've never written a blog before, so welcome to my first and maybe only blog.

I'm not an angry woman, I'm a blessed woman, a woman who thanks God daily for everything he's given me. I was blessed when my kids were born not to have to work full time. I did work part time for a while, but gave that up. My children are in school full time now, so I do work as a substitute at a preschool and one night a week at a laundromat. I am fortunate that I am able to do this.

I read a blog yesterday that I frequently read by Matt Walsh. His wife is a stay at home Mom, they have twin newborns. He posted a blog by a woman named Amy Glass, I had never heard of her before yesterday. Apparently she's a feminist and as she put it, I look down on young women with husbands and kids, and I'm not sorry.

Here is a link to her blog
http://thoughtcatalog.com/amy-glass...omen-with-husbands-and-kids-and-im-not-sorry/

She doesn't like the fact that we have showers for women who get married and have babies. According to Ms. Glass, these aren't real accomplishments. Anyone can do them.

I really don't care what she thinks and if your a wife and stay at home mom, or single mom, I don't want you to care either. It's not worth our time or energy. She obviously has no clue what it takes to be a parent.

This a quote from her blog:
I hear women talk about how “hard” it is to raise kids and manage a household all the time. I never hear men talk about this. It’s because women secretly like to talk about how hard managing a household is so they don’t have to explain their lack of real accomplishments. Men don’t care to “manage a household.” They aren’t conditioned to think stupid things like that are “important.”

Comments like that are really ignorant and sad. I would think instead of putting down her fellow sister's she'd want to build them up.

She claims to be a feminist, yet she disregards the choice a woman can make either to stay home or work, if they have that choice. I had no idea someone would look at raising a human being to be such an easy task.

Bless you for being a stay at home mom and wife (if applicable). IMHO, being a mom is the toughest job "out there." Again, bless you.

Thanks Abbie, I know there are a lot of tough jobs, Doctor's, Nurses, heck I couldn't do those, but be respectful. Her blog was so rude. I guess I don't understand her anger with stay at home parents, it's weird to me.

I got relieved when I read how women responded to her anti-woman article; the response of stefanie Slater is... delicious .

I think the real problem here is that she seems to assume that everyone cares about things like "equal footing" and making big accomplishments, and that being "average" is somehow the worst thing in the world. If one of your goals in life is to become a chef then going to school for engineering and then pursuing your PhD in Civil Engineering so that you can attempt to design the worlds tallest building would just be stupid. Life isn't about accomplishing the hardest goals you can, it's about accomplishing the goals you want to accomplish.

I am one of those "stupids" she never met. I loved spending some time with my kids when I felt it was needed. Of course, my ex-wife family told me I was a freak (but I know their truth). :o

i respect woman coz she is great even as mom or working woman :) no matter where you are as long as you know your position your right n your duties as woman or wife or mom that's the best things that's the point :)

I've done all kinds of jobs, but by far the hardest job was when I came home to take care of the home and my father after mom died. Compared with that, all the other jobs I ever had were mere extensions of childhood.

This is what I posted in response to that article and am sharing here.

Amy all I have to say is if your mother felt the same way you do you would not be here. I am not saying that you mom was a stay at home mother I don't know her story but she thought having kids was an o.k. thing as you exist. It is o.k. for a woman to choose anything in life and if that is a career or to be a mother both are o.k. No one is average everyone is unique.
