Do parakeets count? We have two. I've always wondered what it was like to own a reptile, particularly iguanas.
Ummm.. does a sugar glider count? I have him in my album, if you want to look. He's so nimble and the awesome thing is he glides.
By the way, I don't keep it indoors.. I keep it out doors in my backyard, there's a lot of bush land for him to glide.

My wife has a 40 year old dog named Ralph. Don't know how exotic he is.
I bought him for her when she just insisted on having a dog.
He just sits by the stove. Never eats or drinks or barks nor messes in the floor.
Ralph is a good dog.

Does my Grandson count? Took some time to house break him, and to get him to walk by himself, dress and feed himself. And, given that all he pretty much does is eat, watch TV, sleep and play video games, he's pretty much a pet. His style of dress is rather exotic, so maybe he does?
How about roadrunners? They are not exactly my pets but, they live in the woods near my house and spend a lot of time foraging for bugs to eat on my property. I love to sit on my back porch and watch them, they seem to be very intelligent and they are fast little things. And, no, they are not purple
