It's is quite common nowadays to see great TV evangelist saying they're the anointed one or the apostle. But Jesus knowing everything he stated that many will come up saying Iam the Christ and a great amount of plp let's say followers of those men will be dragged away because their eyes are set in spiritual experiences, dreams, visions and some other things.

It's a very sad thing because all these people are focused on those things no on the words of God. They even take those experiences and testimonies above God's words and it seems they're having all of that as the gospel of Jesus Christ or as health doctrine. These false men have become very famous because they're just preaching what people wanna hear, no what can save them or what the word of God says but what they like to hear.

And all of these things aare happening because they don't care about people Salvation but the benefits they get from people. But there's a God that is Holy who is on top of everything only the ones who are his real sheep will hear his voice and consequently follow him.( 2 Peter.2.4) But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. [SUP]2 [/SUP]And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. [SUP]3 [/SUP]By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does[SUP][a][/SUP] not slumber. all of these makes see that Christ's coming is just right near and we need to be aware purifying ourselves everyday more and more.

Yes they are a big part of the problem but those who won't read and research the Scriptures are to blame also.
 
Many will say 'I am Christ'. Christ:gr: Meshiach: Messiah: the anointed. Many will say 'IM ANOINTED' !!!!
 
Biscuit, I was about to say the same thing. The folks are the enablers. Take away the filthy lucre and watch the wolves hit the bricks.
Many Christians would rather have a thief lying to them than to have someone who has paid the price, has humbled himself, has put on the servants apron, and is ready to serve as Christ did, as Paul expounded, as the scriptures describe, who refuses mammon through a salary, willing to spend and be spent, without charge. This true leader need not apply. He is not welcome. He is rejected. He is despised by most of the church, hated by the hirelings and wolves, wishing he never comes through their doors.
Paul wouldn't last 5 minutes in the modern den of thieves. Christ wouldn't last a minute. Is it any wonder they hate the real deal. They hated Christ and crucified Him. If they persecuted Him, they will also persecute you and 'cast you out of the synagogue'.

Nothing has changed that much. Flesh still begets flesh. He who is in the Spirit will be hated by those in the flesh.

Does Ishmael and Isaac come to mind? Even unto this day, new covenant regardless, flesh still in control in many, loving the notoriety, loving to be pampered and adored. Loving the bucks! 'Awe....Reverend Onthetake....isn't he awesome?'

I find a lot think they are christians, do the christian thang, talk the lingo, do 'good' works etc., etc., but the fact is...they just aren't born again (born from above). Heck some even become 'ministers'...

2 Peter 2:1-3 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.
 
Yea cross, denying:Greek: arneomai:renouncie, repudiate, (twisting His words). Men who have been bought by the blood of the Lamb claim they have Jesus but they renounce His doctrine secretly by wresting the scriptures for fun and profit.

"For a long time, their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber." It doesn't get more sober than that. All the while they were having their fun, Death has been as close and silent as a guardian angel to them, waiting for the time it can carry them off:

"For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear" (2Tim. 4:3).

"These people are blemishes at your love feasts... shepherds who feed only themselves... clouds without rain, blown about by the wind, autumn trees without fruit, twice dead, pulled up by the roots... wild waves of the sea foaming up their own shame; wandering stars for whom blackest darkness has been reserved forever" (Jude 12-13).

'Wandering stars' implies complete and absolute 'lostness' and hopelessness (which is why it's followed by "for whom blackest darkness is reserved forever" (with finality))-- a final judgment and complete sentence of despair and damnation that cannot be reversed. Because their sentence cannot be reversed, Jude correctly said they are "foaming up their own shame", or showing off just how incredibly stupid they are, when they continue doing what they do (and who brags about a death sentence; the hardest of criminals halts his bravado when given the death sentence). As far as those who 'contract' such ministers to scratch their ears, let's just say 'remorse' isn't a big enough word. The Bible calls it "sorrow and gnashing of teeth."
 
It seems to me that those against the church have a set agenda. They use "we are under grace not law" to promote ignoring all God gives us as instructions for living.

They say that because, as Paul tells us that the Jews hearts are hardened about accepting Christ as the Messiah it means God turned on the chosen people and we must not listen to anything God told them.

They say that all scripture is contained in the 10% of scripture given us as how the world is after the resurrection.

They say that the Son wiped out what the Father told us. They say that because Christ replaced and made complete many things the OT told us, we must not listen to any of the OT for it is only a shadow and a shadow is not an outline of what has come, but to be erased.

They say that Paul did not explain how Christ fulfilled the Torah, but that Christ did away with the Torah. They say that the meaning of fulfill is destroy, not made complete for us to live by.

They say that Paul does not explain the Torah, but Paul told how Christ did away with the Torah.

They say that it is not that we are grafted into Israel, and God teaches us through Israel, but that God did away with Israel and made us the chosen ones. Israel is gone, it is now gentiles.

It is the Lord's blessing that most do not say to ignore the salvation that Christ offers to us!!! Perhaps through the forgiveness Christ offers, all these false teaching will not condemn us, just make us not great in the kingdom of heaven.

I don't understand, please explain?

Our churches are teaching Christ crucified, they are teaching salvation, they are just not teaching about sin. We are saved, not by works but by faith. They teach faith, but faith without following through to believe all God says about how to live.

What "kills the church":

1. Hellfire and brimstone preachers create negative publicity.
2. The internet providing all the information on the bible.(and targeting it's flaws).
3. Improper spending in the church on pastors, overspending/over-expanding, and not enough on the community.
4. Pastors asking for money too much.
5. The need society has for religion will go down in the future as religion and christianity will provide nothing the society cannot get on there own.
6. Too many bad representatives given too much publicity.
 
I wonder why you people think the CHURCH is these fancy buildings that men build for SINNERS to gather and learn all the false teachings of the ANTI-CHRIST for centuries now. When did these churches start? Let me show you... with scripture, when FALSE churches started and how they grew to more than 2000 diniminations... But PLEASE be assured it is not THE CHURCH, just a vatiation of MANY FALSE CHURCHES.... The CHURCH OF GOD, is as perfect as the DAY HE STARTED HIS CHURCH.... And this CHURCH will be maintained and upheld and KEPT PERFECT by God Himslef.

Oh how blind the people are, is NO shock fior they all were open to deciet and lies some time of their lives. My biggest struggle is not to teach the Truth, it is to get MISLEAD people see the Truth, but that is not my JOb it is God's. I can only SHOW you Truth straight from the Bible, God has to SHOW (reveal) His Truth (His Word) to you befoer you will understnad. But that is NOT going to stop me from SHOWING yuo what I know.

So here goes... when did the twisting of Truth start, and by whom... In the Garden when satan talked to eve. And when did it infiltrate God's doctrine about Jesus? Even when the apostles were still building the church... But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
One of these heresies is.... we will always be sinners as long as we are in the flesh... etc etc... God calls it corrupting the Word of God and there are way more that do this than Truth teachers.... For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.


And the real Truth is still out here for us to believe.... For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.

The real church looks like this... That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

Praise the Lord Jesus He still does this to keep His church in ABSOLUTE HOLINESS... Amen!

Nothing will kill the church.

The angel of ezekial 9 will remove all the stubborn non Bible followers in every church ...
But the righteous (those doing right) will not be removed, it will be driven into the wilderness where God will feed her while Roman empire burns again

I know nothing could kill church but when I wrote this I didn't intend to incite anybody.
that wasn't my intention. But don't worry I understand you, we human beings are like that
we tend to misunderstand things. That's why this is world.
 
I don't know if what the OP is speaking of is 'apostasy'. False teachers exploiting the church for world recognition and fortune are heretics, and their judgement is coming swiftly as Peter said.

Apostates are those who deny that Jesus is the Christ and the only way to salvation. Oprah Winfrey would be an apostate teaching that Jesus isn't the way the truth and the life, but rather she teaches there are many ways to salvation. This movement within the world today that teaches that their is no truth found in one person (namely Jesus Christ) but truth can be found in all religions and even humanism (which is what this new teaching comes from) is the great apostasy warned about by Paul.

Just a thought.
