Yes, I always know immediately. I start screaming and flapping my arms. If they don't run away, I know they're a keeper![]()
^A way to keep the G's away

Haha yeah that's one of them. How presents himself is important to me- like if it shows that he doesn't care about his appearance at all. I just think choice of clothes does say something about a guy. For example, if he was wearing really baggy jeans, a long black t-shirt or hoodie and NY baseball cap- I attribute that with G's and I am not attracted to G's. Some girls might be, but not me. And he may not be one, but am I really gonna give him the benefit of the doubt if he tries to ask me out? No I won't. If that makes me shallow, then I guess I am shallow. Whether or not we like it, how we dress says a lot about ourselves.
I have certain preferences and tastes when it comes to the male species. I am not sure if there are universal triggers for no's, simply because many girl's preferences and tastes are unique. I am looking for someone that I can see myself with; that we compliment each other in some ways- physically is one of them. I am not attracted to big buff weightlifters either, because I would feel tiny compared to him; he wouldn't be suitable for me. I do think of these things if I see a guy looking at me in certain way, or get the hint that they might want to approach me (which isn't very often lol)
One thing that I must add, in the past after getting to know someone who I initially was not attracted to became more attractive to me because of his personality. So its not just looks.
I hear you Arwen, I am not a G.. Lol, I prefer a nice casual not really expensive leather jacket, with jeans or something like that. I also agree with you that its not all just about looks. So it really comes down to your ability to talk and show your personality and show that not like every other guy.. Am I wrong?
Yes, unfortunately when its as shallow as first impressions, it can be difficult to find a way to show personality. Unlike if you constantly interacted with that person, say in church or had mutual friends. I think that is why first impressions are strongly weighted on physical appearance- not just clothes tho, like smile, posture and body language. These are some things that may need to be worked on until you can get to know her enough to let your personality shine!
Unless it's you, zaoman, and then we can't think of anything because we've fainted from sheer excitement that you're walking up to us.
Depending on the person approaching.... for the ones I don't want approaching "Oh Lord here we go again", "Just look in the other direction" , "dude how do you not use deo in this day and age" , okay for the one's I do want approaching (Oh my gosh no he isn't, is he, is he?! oh he is!..."Hello") , "Oh my gosh he smells so good... bet he has to beat them off with a stick" , "oh he deserves a pat on the back and a keep up the good work for women everywhere.." , "that boy is fine like apple wine in the summertime" (this is just an old saying, I don't drink wine or any alcohol) "Lord he has dimples let me just pass out here" Keep in mind these are things I am thinking and I would usually NeVeR say them outloud! lol

That's perfectly fine. If you don't mind the risk of rejection, go for it!Plenty of girls out there are into dating as a way to meet.
Some of us are more analytical-minded, and like to take our time before leaping into the water. No biggie.
I like your attitude![]()
It depends on his intention, and you can usually tell pretty quickly. If a guy is interested in just friendly chatting, be it because he's friendly or because he's interested, then I'm fine with that. I feel that I'm pretty approachable and I'll talk to pretty much anyone. It's the guys who are like, "Hey, 'sup girl." that I tend to roll my eyes at.

Most girls normaly make up they minds instantly it all depends on if you tick all they boxes, looks, personality and so on.
That's funny, when you mentioned the thing about rejection not bothering you I immediately thought of what Thomas Edison said.I wasn't always like this. It was something that I realized after a time!! Some people have yet to realize this. Just like Thomas Edison had to learn from his 1000 mistakes before perfecting the GE lightbulb, this is kinda like that! Well kinda, Haha!!
