No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what is the point, because I do not am I to rail against anyone that does and accuse them, and not love them God's way of Love, best described here
1 Corinthians 13:4-13

New King James Version (NKJV)

[SUP]4 [/SUP]Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; [SUP]5 [/SUP]does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; [SUP]6 [/SUP]does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; [SUP]7 [/SUP]bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. [SUP]9 [/SUP]For we know in part and we prophesy in part. [SUP]10 [/SUP]But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.
[SUP]11 [/SUP]When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. [SUP]12 [/SUP]For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Or do you not think God loves us all?

God loves those who loves him back...and those who Believe in Him (who dwelleth not in hands) and His Son Jesus and judge the unbelievers.

No other God before him? by his own logic, catholics adore what the statues represents (was adoration a form of worship) and was mary a God to be worship?

This is your judgment from your own bias's. I am sorry here as no one is better than the other from God the Father's vantage point. Tell me does God love all? or just a select few?
I know what you point to in Idols, and even though 7seven7 have said different to you, you still throw out bias's as if they do not believe in God. Tell me do you think God has not accepted them? And that God is the one that gets us all to stand.
Romans 14:4 Who art thou that judgest another man’s servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.

If gods has not accepted us, then who are we to fight of the flesh as a man that just beateth the air

Amazing! in all the arguments that happen in this environment. One thing is clear..... we can find scripture for anything we prefer to believe. SMH

Tell me then is the following verse truth from God or not.

Colossians 1:22 in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:

Yahweh is Love. The last thing love will do is yeild to the creature on any issue. If He says no, it is always no, and it is good.

Love will not be convinced in any manner to change the truth, bend it or shade for the sake of creatures' voting on any theology.

Intellectuals cannot get this through their craw, constantly sharing their study outside the Word as advising Love. Yahweh consults no creature.

Let me know which denomination He would convert to? Kind of silly, right?

Worship Yahweh, believe Him, and always consult His writings by His holy people for any finality on any issue. People are not the last resort.

I am not attacking a specific person.... read my posts, we are discussing about catholics vs Christian... then comparing Israelites Idolatries to Catholicism...

asking homwardbound if he bow down or knelt before the statue is not an attacked, I just wanted to know if he does that.

Whatever versions of the bible.
It is a discussion...
shall I ask, are muslims Christians, or are hindus Christian, or are budhist Christians? read my previous posts as to the definition of Christian in the bible...

Do you think, Catholicism is a wrong doctrine?

I think all earthly Churches are wrong to one degree or another. But I am thankful for this CHRIST is being preached
[h=3]Philippians 1:15-17[/h]Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)

[SUP]15 [/SUP]Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will: [SUP]16 [/SUP]the one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds:
[SUP]17 [/SUP]but the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel.
Hebrews 8:4
For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law:

This is why I attend no Church here on earth unless I am called to do so. Which many are fro a purpose, God's

And others claim the same and it is God that knows who are his and who are not. This makes the choice an individual one, and we all are free to be in God's love if we believe. Again you, me or anyone else does not know the true intentions of another. So I therefore do not condemn, as God chose not to condemn me. Are you listening, not accusing you of doing this only you know the truth here and are the only one accountable to it between God and you period
All in God's love to you Not accusing, I do not have the right, I only have the ministry of reconciliation given to me by God through the Son, Jesus Christ

" please refrain from accusing others and glorying in self as it appears that you are"
Have I misread your quote...but it appears to you that I glorify myself....correct me if I mis read it.

God loves those who loves him back...and those who Believe in Him (who dwelleth not in hands) and His Son Jesus and judge the unbelievers.

And it is God that knows who are his and who are not, please watch out for your flesh judgment of others and ask God to lead you please. I rebuke your condemnation that Christ took away at his death, giving us the ministry of reconciliation, not condemnation as you are so very well putting out. Please stop this flesh attitude od anyone or gathering together of anyone please.

Thank you, well said hoping to get this truth instilled and not walk away from

Maybe re-read it I was clear more than once on any accusation to anyone, Yes you misread it, thanks for recognizing this.
Love to you Homwardbound

I am not saying 7seven7 do not believe in God...
by his logics, catholics worship mary too.

Catholics believe in god, as Muslims, Budhist and Hindu's do...

But do they believed the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, who dwelleth not in things made by hands.
Coz if this is their God, then they believe on the true Messiah (Jesus Christ)

But if their god, dwelleth in things made by hands..then we have a different Christ.

http://www.lahora.com.ec/index.php/movil/noticia/1101550005

today all Ecuadorian catholics are encouraged to go to the march of la virgen de la reina del cisne.
It is tradition to follow the statue of mary around the andes mountains for about 50 miles.
Some people have vowed to attend every year untill the day they die, they have the feeling this is what the virgin wants them to do.

Born again Christians whom are "in Christ" are condemned by the Roman Catholic Church (RCC). Over 100 anathemas have been pronounced against Christians by the Roman Catholic Councils of Trent and Vatican II. The RCC considers their "condemnations" against Christians who are not members of the RCC still in effect today (even if some RCC members themselves do not) and the RCC asserts that their "condemnations" can only be lifted if a Christian returns in submission to the authority of the pope and the RCC.

The truth, of course, is that there is only one door to enter the church (1) and that door is Jesus Christ. He alone, by His Spirit, admits people into His church no matter their membership, or lack of, in any Protestant or Catholic religious organization/church.

And afterwards, "Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit." -Romans 8:1-5.

(Note Romans 8:9 which states that if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he [that person] does not belong to Him [Jesus Christ] no matter their membership, or lack of, in any Protestant or Catholic religious organization/church).

"So then brethren we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh for if you are living according to the flesh you must die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!” The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him." -Romans 8:12-17.

When by faith one receives the initial act of salvation (justification), at that very instant he or she is sealed by the Holy Spirit, baptized into the body of Christ, redeemed, regenerated, born again, adopted into God's family, reconciled to God, and forgiven of sin based on the mediation and atonement of Christ. All of these saving acts are made possible only because of the substitutionary death of Jesus on behalf of our sins, whereby the Just died for the unjust in order that God's justice may be satisfied and His mercy justify the unjust.

But salvation does not end with a single act of justification; this is only the first stage, by which one is saved from the penalty of sin. Salvation also involves a lifelong process of sanctification, by which we are saved from the power of sin. At death, our redemption climaxes with an act of glorification that saves us from the very presence of sin. At this point we will see God face-to-face (in the Beatific Vision) and become like Him, for then we shall see Him as He is.

The RCC is amiss in their condemnations of us whom are "in Christ" and part of His church.

And yes, the RCC misinterpreted Matthew 16:18.

(1) Believers joined to Christ's spiritual body by the Holy Spirit (1 Cor. 12:13) at the moment of regeneration (Titus 3:3-6) when they individually place their faith in the Lord Jesus as their Savior (Acts 16:31).

I am catholic, and I am Christian..

And about catholic church with many versions like couples for christ, singles for christ (which is by the way also a part of couples christ, covenanted community of the roman catholic church), etc.. as far as i know they're NOT 'versions' of that church.. it's some sort of an evangelical tool to reach out to people. These are covenanted communities of the catholic church and they do also have ministries like youth ministry, kids ministry, etc.

Also, this thread mainly focuses on IDOLATRY which is for me, "anything or anyone you put first before GOD is idolatry" , may it be the misconception or the twisted ritual of the church, paying homage to someone like mary or any other saints whatever it is of course can be counted idolatry, but idolatry can also be ur passion on doing something like putting up so much effort on job, on a person or even on studying contexts that it blurs us from what TRUTH is really about. It is still a question even now on where all these bible translations came from and yes, I've read many bible translations myself and i'm trying to live it out as honest as possible. And I admit that I fall short so many times.

Religion cannot save us, it's our faith and our belief that Jesus is our Lord and Savior. And I also understand why they have been so many questions and arguments about the catholic church. All i can say is, never put faith to a 'system', or any physical church coz it is still man-made, and everything man-made is prone to errors. We can still dwell in a church, because church means the body of Christ, the people we fellowship and share faith with, not the 'structure'.. coz where there is AUTHENTIC worship in the Body, there His Spirit dwells, the Bridegroom, Jesus.

^ An honest Catholic. There are many honest Catholics "in Christ" as per my last post.

You rebuke me....for discussing Idolatries and catholicism...
how mature....
did I say catholics have no chance????
in one post I did say..they can be christian..If they Repent of worshipping false gods...Believing in the True God of abraham, Isaac and Jacob, who does not dwell in things made by hands and to believe in His Son our Lord Jesus christ...

do not worry about God leading me, coz I know He always is.

You by the way...how about not forgetting the assembly of God...you who do not attend any churches unless invited (what do you called that)
You are the one should be rebuked...

But this is just a discussion...where everyone is right...and everyone is wrong...no one accept they are wrong. so Just live with it and be open minded...and continue to defend what do you think is right, but do not rebuke anyone (this is not a church, and you are not a pastor of this forum)

There are many versions of catholics now, like couples for Christ, singles for Christ, but are they really Christians of the bible?

I don't like some of the rituals they have but for that matter I didn't like the fact that the Pastor I was taught from was commiting adultery all the while until the Lutheran chruch finally decided it was a sin so they kicked him out. That experiance of knowing what the Pastor was preaching to us and what His opposite actions shattered my faith when I understood what was going on, but then I found out all people sin and when we repent Like He did we receive forgiveness. And it's my understanding that before He died, He claimed to have "seen the light".

Was Mother Teresa a Catholic Christian: Jesus said, "All men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." (John 13:35)

I borrowed this off a site:
[h=3]The Meaning of the Word 'Religion' in the Bible[/h]

The Greek word translated "religion," as found in the letter of James, means "worship or adherence that is outwardly evident."

James 1:27 says, "Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world." Visiting people is an outward thing. A stain is something someone can see. To be unstained means people don't see "the world's" stains on you.

The same Greek word is also used in Acts 26:5, "I lived as a Pharisee, the strictest sect of our religion."

The word religion, as used in the Bible, is an outward identification. You look and act like a Jew if you are Jewish. You act like a Christian, love others and exhibit good character, if you are a Christian. That very thing of showing others that you belong to Jesus is what James writes about in his letter when talking about faith and works.

So in the first century "religion" was something you showed not something you told. Jews looked and dressed a certain way. They could be seen observing Old Testament ceremonies and rituals. James was saying Christians are identified by love, compassion, and character; the real meat of life rather than the lifeless soggy bread of rituals.

My ex girl-friend who is RC and Her Dad who was Lutheran but changed to RC for His wife showed great works of faith, and I'm very proud to have known them because of their actions for Christ. In Gods eyes there is no denomination on this earth that stands justified without His grace. And we are all under grace.

i beleive there are genuine christians scattered around in every denomination. The problem is the denominations which divide us.The question should be IS THE CATHOLIC DENOMINATION AND ITS DOCTRINE BIBLE BASED OR DID THEY MAKE UP THEIR OWN CREEDS AND DOGMAS?

Really? Now you claim it's only a disposable religion? Perhaps in your local parish it may be that way but there are parts of the world where catholics believe that their statues bleed or cry and they certainly worship these events. How many catholic churches have claimed to have Peters head in their sanctuary? A local parish recently built a new church and were careful to transfer the bones of a saint from the old altar to the new one. Statues and relics are a really big part of the catholic religion.

For the cause of Christ
Roger

I'm from the state of Goa in India. In a church close to my hometown there is an ancient church called the Basilica of Bom Jesus. It is a UNESCO world heritage site. In this basilica is kept the embalmed body of St. Francis Xavier (canonized in 1622) in a glass casket. The casket is placed high up on the right side of the church altar. Every 10 years, the casket is brought down and millions gather to "venerate" and kiss the saint, whom many also worship and pray to. This is called "the exposition." The state of Goa has invited the Pope Francis for the next exposition to be held in 2014. I remember attending one such exposition as a kid. This was before I knew the truth of the Bible.

Goa was under Portuguese invasion for 450 years, and St. Francis, a Jesuit priest, was said to have triggered the Portuguese Inquisition in Goa (similar to the Spanish Inquisition), which very few know about, since all documents pertaining to the same were destroyed.

Anyway, what do you guys think of the such a practice of worshiping and praying to a dead body of a canonized saint?

i believe the ROCK that Jesus spoke of is the revelation of WHO HE IS.This was revealed to Peter by the father and Peter declared to him that he was the son of God .Remember Peter denied Christ three times but after he was filled with the holy ghost on the day of pentecost he became bold and fearless because he had Jesus in spirit form living on the inside of him.The CATHOLIC CHURCH actually changed the practices of the early church and is described as the mother of harlots in revelation.Baptism was only performed in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ in peters day but the catholic church changed it to FATHER,SON AND HOLY GHOST.see if you can find anywhere in the bible where ANYONE was baptized using these titles. They also changed baptism from IMMERSION IN WATER to SPRINKLING.The Catholic Church began charging money for novenas, and charging money to get souls out of Purgatory, when there's no such thing as a Purgatory in the Bible. The Roman pope began to sell "indulgences" to rich individuals, offering positions in the church in exchange with properties, gold and land. The Roman church began acquiring properties from the people in exchange for spiritual favors. The Roman church started to weigh the goods that she can get from the people and made salvation an expensive "commodity". They turned religion into a big business and were teaching creeds and dogmas out of man's ideas instead of the pure Bible. They taught that people can only be saved by "works" and "obedience" to the tenets of the Catholic church, rather than by believing by faith in the Word. The wealthier of them found it a happy situation when Pope Leo X allowed them to buy indulgences for sins not yet committed so that they with ease of conscience could plan their awful crimes and then proceed to carry them out, knowing that the pope had already remitted their sins. The Word of God was kept from them, so who was to know the truth!
