There are many false doctrines in many Gatherings and is why one need take the time to read for themselves to, with the only desire to know God personally, asking for God to reveal himself to you personally.

Have you read the books that were removed? See for yourself and why, it was needed to be determined what was God inspired and what was not. Does not mean these books were not. So you read them and decide in self if it all lines up with God, and God's amazing Mercy to us all.
The organization CHURCH is just that using God as the way for income, and do give to the needy, I am not downing anyone in particular. I personally do not have that right even if my obedience ever became perfect in Faith to God through Son.
In the day of Christ he came to his own people, and they debunked him, put him out of the synagogue.
Why? Because he was preaching truth about God plain and simply just loving us, healing people, he talked as no man had ever, and the captives in the religion there were being set free. Told they were forgiven, and thus they were healed, why? because they believed.
So here is Christ out in the wilderness. the people are searching for him, whether it is just for physical healing and or Spiritual, the crowds were drawn to him.
So tell me was going to Church per say? What did the council at that time and what would the council do in our time today if no one was going to Church?
So was it Job security that got Jesus killed? Were they not afraid of losing their position in this world of glamor. Even though through the death it brings life as they knew not.
Do you see the mystery here of God and how God, if you trust God, turns all things into the good; if you stop and see that even in adversities that come, there is no avoiding them

So no matter if we attend a building of Catholic, Protestant, or any gathering that preaches Christ whether of sincerity or strive, if you seek God personally, God will reveal himself to you personally in Spirit.
Depending on one's motive, God will reveal God to those with pure motive. While all the Churches continue to use sin behavior as a trap to use as hypocrites do this to keep one a coming bogged down in guilt
Matthew 23:15 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel land and sea to win one proselyte, and when he is won, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves.
The above happened to me in a different gathering than Catholic, and searched all the others and found the same. It was not until I personally searched God out on my own, diligently seeking truth that sets one free, Because in Church I got worse in being a sinner. For there was not the taking away of the sin, it was the promoting of and that I had to take it away myself in respect back to God. When in fact Christ past tense has past tense done taken away the sin at the cross at his crucifixion. Read col. 1:1 -23 especially verse 22

Do you follow any religion here on earth? Do you think God wants us to be religious? What is the true meaning of religion and what does it constitute?
Did Jesus in his day go against religion?

If your basis of being a Christian is being good...honestly you cannot find one
If the basis of being a Christian is humanitarian, there lots of drug lord/ syndicates and even philanthropist that help their neighbours.
If the Basis of being a Christian is FASTING...Muslims are also good at that...
That is why it was compared as to the Christian of the bible...

The Apostle Paul was a Christian.

Paul made at least two comments that show clearly that Scripture is NOT ALL to the teachings. Paul would have objected to sola scriptura. So, in jet's eyes, he was not Christian.

And keeping children from being gassed to horrible deaths, their last moments alive in agony, is damn sure unChristian. God made America blessed enough to have a strong defense. And as we learned in WWII you can sit too long for the wrong reasons.

@homwardbound even know your asking me the question to prove me wrong or to make me look stupid, (which is no way for a christian to behave, ill answer so others can benefit, asking a question because you need help is ok to me,
but when your a christian which you claim you are as you have beat your flesh unlike man, i can only assume you asking questions so you may be seen as the good guy and me the bad guy.
you can be batized by water yes,, and if you have never ask god with a sincere heart to receive his spirit before if you have never called out to lord before or never repented with a sincere heart before , then yes you can receive his spirit with water baptism, spiritual baptizing same thing asking the lord with a sincere heart for him to be your friend and to examine your heart so he can see you mean true repentance and wish to change your ways , asking the the lord with a sincere heart for guidance from the holy spirit, but after that if you want to be baptized by water you can as many times as you like, spiritual baptism you can do all by your self in your own time.
