A lot of Catholics don't outwardly say it but they like to say that the Catholic church is the "one true church."

Do Catholics consider themselves Jews or Gentiles or ___________ ? Does it matter as long as they understand that we all are one with Christ who believe in Him :)

ok so your advice would be to go to them all and find out for your self ?. so does this mean that you have, and may i ask what church you attend and what denominatioon you are, ? so far you havent,

No, I did not say you have to go to them all. You're trying to put things into my mouth, and I will warn you now I do not play these games long.

To put it into its details so that you cannot possibly drum up any misguided distortions...

If you go to church A with the assumption it will probably be a good church, you may very well find out after being their in person that they are not at all a good church. It may be one that is highly heretical. For example, the United Church of Christ is a denomination in the United States. It is one that does not preach the Gospel. I was looking for a church one sunday morning before I found the one I am at now, and I stood in the parking lot of the church accross the street debating whether I should evne give them a chance. I decided to give them a chance, and my suspicion was confirmed. Another example, I went to a Maundy Thursday service at a UMC. The preaching was terrible, no scripture whatsoever. There was something there that night, maybe not any other night, but at least there was something there that night and I was convicted of the awesomeness of the Cross through the liturgy. They had my respect for awhile because of that, and I considered the fact that it might be an okay church until I heard the pastor bragging about how apostate the UMC was. There is a Lutheran church that I have been going to on Saturday nights. The teach Baptismal Regeneration which isn't biblical, and causes me to question whether I should be there some times, but I would still embrace a Lutheran as a brother, albeit like some of the few legitimate Anglicans such as J. I. Packer, they have one foot in scripture and one foot in Rome.

That's what I mean by dealing with them as you find them. There are some things you learn or take notice of after you've been there a time or two. While the Anglicans of the UK generally are not biblically based, there are some ministers who are. I was listening to Unbelieveable by Justin Brierly, and there was a man on with Rob Bell who I think we could embrace each other as brothers because of our mutual confession of The Gospel.

ok thanks for your reply,, and first off i did not say you would, "i said so your advice would be with a question mark at the end,, (there is a diffrence there ,, read back)
but thanks for acusng me of putting word in you mouth, thats a typical leaning on your own understandng response..

ok and to the next point i have attended the anglican cathedral in liverpool many times and all of there readings have been biblical,, so im not sure where your getting that info from,,, you do know that cathedral is the main church above all the little sub churches and the sub churches should abide to there main church teachings,,

but ok i dont know how much time you have spent in the uk or where your gettng your source of info from that anglican churches in the uk do not teach biblicy,

anyways i belive you consider your self a reformed baptist if im right,, by lookng at your profile, and for me i have no problem with that,, you could be a jew or a muslim to me it still wouldnt matter, (no pun intended,, enemy or friend ill pray for you either way, anyways m sure if you go lookng for flaws you will find them, but i hold strongly to 1 john 2:27

to me i think you can take this to any christian church, and as long as you disern for the truth the holy spirit will teach you, also mans teachings can be of benifit, and of truth, but diserning for the truth can be catholic protestant baptist lutheran, church of england,,

Bottom line after everything said and done, God is the true teacher that sets us free in him to love as God Loves.1 Cor. 13
 
i have been studying up on the the lost books or missing books and certain bibles not containing certain books,, and it looks like its 50 50, both protestant and catholic have valid arguments, and you can allways buy a king james bible, which is excepted in both catholic and protestant faith, if you want to read the Apocrypha that is , they are in a section called Apocrypha Those Scriptures of the Old Testament are not found in the Hebrew Bible ,,, but they where in the greek old testement, (hebrew came first then greek then latin) so i can only assume that the Apocrypha where written some where around 450 years or something befor christ,,(i believe that the greek bible did not note the books as Apocrypha , but mr gerome who did the first greek to latin bible did, so you have hundreds and hundreds of years of people believing it as devine and the true word of god) and this is why you have so many diffrent beliefs, (still to day) anyways after many hours of research i can honestly say the whole situation is sad, for none to better words,, and i am discusted with the church farthers for causing so much devision over it,
but i dont blame anyone of current times for this , but why!! people who are in the know do not explain this properly, they dont explain any of this properly just does in my head in,

anyways so you all understand it The word apocrypha means hidden, or secret these books have no clear proof that they line up with scripture, some sholars see them as inspired some dont, and the authors of these books are also in question,
some catholics see them as devine also, an some dont, either way we will never know the real truth until we get to heaven, so its a one of them read for your self and be the judge,

Martin Luther in 1517 removed those books and placed them in an appendix during the reformation. They remained in the appendix of Protestant Bibles until about 1826, and then they were removed altogether. but there still in the king james, i believe,, but i only have a good news bible so i dont know for sure,,

all you guys who have been here long enough,, why do you never explain stuff like this, why,,, its really not nice to send people on rabit trails,, so unfair.

Regarding " Judging"

John 7:verse 24

Judge not according to the Appearance, but Judge righteous Judgement.

So if we judge " Righteous Judgement" we judge a person or beleif based on what scripture teaches versus what a person or Assembly, or Church teaches.
The Lord allows calling " Spade, a Spade"

So according to his truthful word, The RCC with all their ceremonies, traditions, etc...is not a Christian Church, even though their faithful members believe they truly are...and that is why all of must pray for all of them, so one day the light of God will Shine upon them....Amen
