Yes....and as the Bible says, Faith without works is dead.
Sorry.....it's just Biblical.
Are we saved with a dead faith?
Faith in a living God who has shined His light upon us through the gospel when were dead in trespasses and sins. Our faith was made alive through the gospel and we believed unto God's righteousness by that faith unto salvation.

Faith without the work of obedience is dead.

If we hear the Gospel: Repent for the kingdom of God is at hand, and we don't Repent, which means to turn to God, by turning away from the power of darkness and Satan as our lord, to Jesus as Lord, then the faith that has come to us by hearing the Gospel message, is dead, and can not save.

Repenting is obeying the Gospel.

Those who don't repent, do not believe the Gospel, because they do not obey the gospel.

Sorry...if your faith is alive it has works.
Faith without works is dead.
No matter how you spin it.
I do believe that initially, there could be such a thing as living faith after getting saved. The thief on the cross is an example. And I believe he was saved without works because that situation. But for you or me, who are able to do works of some kind (I assume you can and do anyway); our faith would be dead without works.

The work of faith is to believe the gospel when we hear it. We believe unto righteousness in our heart. Repentance is turning from all we trusted in before we heard the gospel. Many have trusted in their own righteousness, in the law, in their own morality and human goodness and even these must be turned from when we hear the gospel and believe in God's righteousness through the cross of Christ.

Belief is not a work.
Faith itself is not a work.
Faith is just dead without works.
When all the spin is done, you're still stuck with the Bible.
