Scripture never says what you espouse.
They never would have gone through physical death, had they not sinned and become sinful mortals. Just because the bible doesn't say they were immortal, doesn't mean it wasn't true.

Too true. We are simply no longer guilty of the unpardonable sin. All others are covered by the blood of Jesus.
The flesh counts for nothing. I see a lot of wishful thinking but no Scripture to back your position.
But they had not eaten of the Tree of Life... so your assumptions seem unfounded.

Everything bolded I fully agree with, to only add that our flesh is also holy. That doesn't mean that it is not sinful. Sacrifices for sin in the old covenant were most holy. That in a picture is grace.
so you're saying we're slaves to sin as long as we're in this life?
I think it's safe to assume that they did eat of the tree of life whenever they felt like it. And that's why they were removed from the garden so that they would no longer be able to partake of it's benefits, and so eventually die.
Genesis 3:24Genesis 3:22 teaches us otherwise concerning the Tree of Life.
Then the Lord God said, “Look, the human beings have become like us, knowing both good and evil. What if they reach out, take fruit from the tree of life, and eat it? Then they will live forever!”

Seriously, how can one reasonably assume that Adam and Eve didn't eat of the tree of life. They had permission to do so. But they had to keep eating of it to remain alive. It's a picture of Christ. We don't take one bite and live forever; we have to keep eating else we will spiritually die.
All these sinners, no wonder why there's so much sinning going on....

That is merely your human view, and you are welcome to it.

This belief that it only took one bite of the tree of life to live forever encapsulates the essence of OSAS and New Grace beliefs: That we only have to take one bite of the bread of life to live forever. That would be nice, but it doesn't work that way. We have to continually eat of the bread of life.
Oh? Jesus says otherwise.
John 6; [SUP]35 [/SUP]And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst. [SUP]36 [/SUP]But I said to you that you have seen Me and yet do not believe. [SUP]37 [/SUP]All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out. [SUP]38 [/SUP]For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. [SUP]39 [/SUP]This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day. [SUP]40 [/SUP]And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day
[SUP]47 [/SUP]Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me[SUP][g][/SUP] has everlasting life. [SUP]48 [/SUP]I am the bread of life. [SUP]49 [/SUP]Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and are dead. [SUP]50 [/SUP]This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that one may eat of it and not die. [SUP]51 [/SUP]I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world.”
That's right. All these sinners, no wonder why there's so much sinning going on....
