Nope, the gathering of his people from four corners of the earth is the reference of rapture, after that, from the Fig Tree parable to the end of Matt. 25, Jesus was teaching the disciples to be prepared before they were caught by surprise, don't waste your life and don't be spiritually empty.
That gathering in mat 24 is a gathering from heaven and is seen in rev 19. (The gathering IN HEAVEN)... for all saints IN HEAVEN to the white horses.

mat 24 gathering is BY ANGELS, not Jesus, IN HEAVEN, not earth.

A few verses later WE SEE JESUS DEPICT A PRETRIB RAPTURE

"BEFORE THE FLOOD ( PRETRIB) one is gathered, one left behind."

The rapture is JESUS GATHERING his bride..
HE AUTHENTICATED his depiction of a pretrib rapture IN THE SAME BREATH, Few verses later, in the virgin parable.
( the groom gathering the bride pretrib)

That is 2 witnesses side by side as a pretrib rapture.

Postribbers need that word of God, from the mouth of God , changed.

Not only is "one coming" debunked BY JESUS, But His pretrib rapture debunks any hope of the "postrib made up rapture, that has no verses.
None.
No postrib rapture in the bible.
Not anywhere.

nother thread which debates pre trib and post trib? It was not my intent to make this thread pre/post trib rapture debate. I'm asking you nicely, go to one of the debate threads and ask me and I'll answer you. Please.
But it matters to the understanding of the term "rapture". There's nothing to discuss if we have no common ground on its definition. Yes we all know it literally means "snatch", "caught up", but from where to where, in what manner, for what purpose? It's like "freedom", one of the most abused word in English language, it's meaningless without knowing freedom from WHAT to do WHAT.

You don't understand because you've made it personal, even though I don't know anything about you and I have no interest to. My only intention is to debunk the pretrib rapture, the seven year tribulation narrative and the weird obsession with the "sudden disappearance" rapture at a totally random moment.
In your postrib model, you are saying the half left behind in mat 24, are wicked?
The half taken are righteous?

I ask you the same question, explain how would the dead rise "first" before the rapture, when it is stated in the bible that the first resurrection takes place AFTER the tribulation and the second coming (Rev. 20:5). If the gathering were supposed to be done by angels, then how would the dead prematurely rise before that? According to the bible, not me, there're only two resurrections, one for the saved at the beginning of the millennial kingdom, one for the unsaved at the end of the millennial kingdom, no other before that. Therefore pre-trib is false as long as the dead must rise FIRST. So far every pretribber, including prominent preachers and honorable patriots have totally ignored the resurrection part.

Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice; and come forth—those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation. (Jn. 5:29)

And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, some to shame and everlasting contempt. (Dan. 12:2)

There is no resurrection in Rev 20 after the trib.
Reread it.
( without the NIV FALSE WORDING).

So you can not answer my simple question?

I thought you could debunk my position.

By not answering?

1 Thess. 4:16, Rev. 20:5. As long as you take the word "first" literally, it's post trib.

If you insist to disregard Rev. 20, alright, take the Lord's own prophecy. You tell me what "the hour is coming" is referring to, if not his second coming.

The sequence of events is clear - removal of the Restrainer; revealing of the Antichrist (2 Thess. 2:7-8); 3.5 year great tribulation; second coming (Matt. 24:29); FIRST resurrection; rapture, as gathering; judgement,

“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life. Most assuredly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear will live. For as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have life in Himself, and has given Him authority to execute judgment also, because He is the Son of Man. Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice; and come forth—those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation. I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me." (Jn. 5:24-30)

Yeah well do it in the other thread bud.
I don't like to do it in any thread when there's no valid biblical argument, only taunting, question begging, strawmanning and name calling.

Here's my parting advise, though. If you intend to debate with someone, instead of impulsively reacting, detect a false or suspicious premise first, undermine that premise on which they build their argument, and thus debunk their argument.

That "comfort" is RESURRECTION. In the original context of 1 Thess. 4, Paul was comforting the church members who were mourning their dead. Pre-trib teaching replaces that with their own narrative.

All of that has been happening for a couple thousand years.
Because those are NOT the signs of the end, but "beginning of sorrows", or "birth pangs" - "all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet." What IS the definitive sign of the end is when the gospel is preached and received in all nations - " this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come."

Where has the gospel not been preached in modern times?

I'm saying "left behind" is from Hollywood, whoever brainwashed with that false narrative is wicked.
The entire "Left Behind" enterpri$e is based upon a perversion of Scripture: "Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left." (Mat. 24:40-41). Isn't that the rapture? No, that's a classic twist created by the Rapture Cult.

Jesus says his return will be just like in the days of Noah. He says all of Noah's neighbors were unsaved people who were eating and drinking and they didn't know the flood was coming until it came and "took them all away." So when the flood came, who got "taken away"? The evil ones, who didn't know the judgement was coming: "And knew not until the flood came and took them all away; So shall also the coming of the son of man be." (Mat. 24:39).

Jesus says the one will be taken and the other left. So who got taken? The one who was destroyed, just as it was in the days of Noah. In fact, when the disciples asked where they were taken, Jesus said look for the vultures, for that's where the dead bodies will be: "And they answered and said unto Him, Where Lord? And He said unto them, Wheresoever the body is there will the eagles be gathered together." (Luke 17:37). IOW, you want to be left behind!

That "comfort" is RESURRECTION. In the original context of 1 Thess. 4, Paul was comforting the church members who were mourning their dead. Pre-trib teaching replaces that with their own narrative.
If you want the answer to the "rapture" question, simply study the RESURRECTION.

The rapture doctrine requires students of the scriptures to approach each relevant verse with certain preconceived notions about prophecy. If you simply read the various prophetic verses about the return of Christ, the Bible clearly teaches that believers will be “gathered” at the second coming -- not some secret, invisible return that precedes his BIG second coming at the end of the tribulation. The problem isn’t in our understanding of the rapture, because the rapture as routinely taught today doesn’t even exist; the difficulty is in our understanding of the resurrection.

In John chapter five, Jesus tells us how God The Father has committed the power of resurrection to him. Jesus says “He that heareth my word and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life...for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice. And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.” (John 6:24, 28, 29) According to these passages, apparently there are two resurrections: one for those “that have done good,” and a resurrection for those “that have done evil.”

In one of the parallel accounts, a verse in Luke has Christ himself saying that the believer shall “be recompensed at the resurrection of the just.” (Luke 14:14) Another proof text of this dual aspect of the resurrection is found in the book of Acts when the Apostle Paul was brought before the Roman governor Felix and charged with heresy by the Jews.

Paul stated that he believes, as the Jews did, “that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and the unjust.” (Ezekiel 33:8, 4) A further example of this understanding of two resurrections is found in the Old Testament, when the prophet Daniel was instructed by the archangel Michael concerning the tribulation and the resurrection. In that instance, Michael said that in the time of the end, “many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.” (Daniel 12:2)

Back in the New Testament book of Revelation, we find a reference to “the first resurrection.” (Rev. 20:5) This first resurrection clearly relates to believers in Jesus, for the text states that they “lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.” (Rev. 20:4)

In the same chapter, John (the writer of Revelation) says “the rest of the dead live not again until the thousand years were finished.” (Rev. 20:5) Later in the chapter John says, “when the thousand years are expired...I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God...and the dead were judged...” (Rev. 20:7, 12) These verses plainly state that there are two resurrections -- one for believers and one for unbelievers.

The Revelation passages further clarify that these two resurrections are separated by one thousand years; this being the period we commonly call the millennium during which the resurrected believers shall “reign with him a thousand years.” (Rev. 20:6)

Where has the gospel not been preached in modern times?
It's not about just preaching the gospel, but every nation bearing witness of Lord Jesus. Ironically, the last one would be modern Israel, for it was declared - "See! Your house is left to you desolate; 39 for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’ ”
