Do you believe in fate? i.e. before you were woven in your mother's womb I knew you?So some one asked if I could do a forum like this, so they can ask about Canada.
Feel free to ask anyone anything you want..... with in reason, keep it polite, and respectable.
Nothing rude or innaproppriate.
@Karlon hijacked your thread...despite not being Kanadian. He's NooYorkian!I am totally lost here, seems I stopped getting notices about this forum and people kept posting lol
yes, i'm guilty. sorry everyone but there are types of threads that easily & subconsciously swerve you in that direction, i will imprison myself for 10 days & pay a $100 fine to lanolin.
probably because manhattan is a huge market for just about anything. Benjamin's in known worldwide for the best steaks. we always dined at the 41st venue. lobster bisque is a creamy lobster soup. peter lugger had much to do with the inception of benjamin's.Oh wow the Surf and Turf looks good, and what's in the New York cheesecake?
Benjamin fries too! Would I need to pick a salad? And a drink? What is Lobster Bisque? There's Lobster Mac and Cheese!!
Why is there TWO Benjamins in NYC, and only one in Japan? Is it next to the Hello Kitty cafe?
Dad promised that we would go to Wendy's today for lunch. Not quite the same but will take what I can get.
I think I already asked I_am_Canadian about food in Canada, and he came up with something called Poutine. I only remember the beavertails and cinnabons with maple syrup.
ok

Deu_15:11 For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land.
Psa_40:17 But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinketh upon me: thou art my help and my deliverer; make no tarrying, O my God.
Pro_14:31 He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker: but he that honoureth him hath mercy on the poor.
Pro_19:17 He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.
Luk_4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
If he does pay me, I will send the $100 your way, but it seems that he's shouting me to a steak meal in Manhattan instead. You wanna come? As +one, or if you can disguise yourself as under 12 I think kids could eat for free. It's my thread, shouldn't you be paying me?

steaks there are dry-aged for about a month in the properly temperatured atmosphere. they ae big on filet-mignon & ribeye. peter luger had a top tier restaurant in brooklyn who was highly regarded for his ideas & perfection.Who is..Peter Lugger
What is special about the Benjamin steaks?
I heard the best steak came from Argentina. but maybe it's only the Argentinians who say that. Everyone likes to boast they have the best everything. Like Ohakune boasts about having the best carrots. And Te Puke the best kiwifruit. Pokeno the best bacon. (these are little towns in NZ)
Huh ok I don't know if ever really had one or tasted the difference.steaks there are dry-aged for about a month in the properly temperatured atmosphere. they ae big on filet-mignon & ribeye. peter luger had a top tier restaurant in brooklyn who was highly regarded for his ideas & perfection.
ribeye is not thick usually. here, it is thin. i always order my steaks "medium to well". there is no pink at all. there was a study back in the 90's about burger king, macdonalds, wendy's & kfc. little did anyone know that kfc contained way more fat than any of the others. very bad for you. a time later, have studying to do.Huh ok I don't know if ever really had one or tasted the difference.
The steak in the supermarket I don't know don't buy it much but it would be stir fry or sirloin, or sizzle steak, I don't really go for the thick ones like rump or ribeye as they take longer to cook and you need a heavy pan and the right temperature, and we have an electric stove rather than a gas one, which might be better to cook steaks. I like my steak well done but not so well done its too tough to chew. How about you, do you like blood coming out of your steak??
For chinese its more the barbecue pork, or roast pork belly or peking duck that have to be done a certain way and it's a process to get them just the right amount of crispy and juicy. I know that KFC had perfected the art of Fried Chicken plus has a secret recipe of 11 herbs and spices nobody else is supposed to know!
I remember how delicious KFC used to be and the smell would be coming from the restaurant and make you hungry, but nowadays I don't know what happened its not as good as I remember it. Maybe the other smells are interferring with it or they changed the way its cooked, sometimes it can be too salty or dry.
Mum was very fussy about chicken and would always let us know if it wasn't good enough for her standards. The cost-co rotisseries chickens met her approval!
