If I allow the Spirit to lead me then I can stop sinning.

We are in the flesh so we can sin if we want but we have to have the attitude that we can stop sinning by the Spirit if we do not want sin.

Not saying you cannot abstain from sin and tone it down for that does not cut it.

God knows if a person is holding on to sin or not.
There is a difference between really believing in Jesus and committing your life to Jesus, and being lukewarm.

If you read the scripture a lot and pray a lot there is a very marked difference in your behavior over time, a fact.

Perhaps you may have noticed yourself how some Christians hardly ever read the scripture and pray.

And their lifestyle over time displays that obvious lack of growth in their Christian faith, some will even fall away.

If you really believe in Jesus and apply yourself to what the apostles spoke of, then you will grow strongly in Jesus.

The only limitation in the power of the Lord in your life is the barriers you hold onto.

I don't pretend to know the intricacies of this argument but I am very slow to judge this issue.

I have sought forgiveness for my sins many, many times. Each time I have eventually found myself beaten down once again. A thousand times I've gotten back up, only to repeat the cycle once again. I believe in the saving grace of God through his son. Does my eventual fate happen by chance, depending solely on where I happen to be in the cycle at the end?

I don't know about OSAS, but the argument appears a bit irrelevant to me.
I have never heard a minister state that they were free of sin nor would I ever say that.

I am in a continuous war, an inner conflict, between the Lord's will and my will.

Sin for me is in the thought process rather than external bad behavior.

Jesus came to save sinners not the righteous and that inner conflict is the evidence that tells me you love Jesus.
