I believe that when Jesus said He came to fulfill the law that included the Sabbath law. Hebrews talks about us entering a Sabbath rest thru faith in Christ. Though Jesus took care of the spiritual side of these issues, it has been proven that eating kosher is very healthy because God knew what was best for man when He gave the Jews these laws. In the same way if we take time to rest on Saturday and Worship on Sunday I believe it would do us good. Remember Jesus said the Sabbath was made for man . For man's benefit!
Masterman, by saying that God, "gave the Jews these laws" you imply that all Israelites were Jews. This is not true, and is an error upon which many other errors are built. "The Jews" (in the Bible narrative) were only a portion of twelve tribed Israel. Read 2 Kings 16:6 wherein is the first application of "Jews" in scripture. It tells us that Israel was at war with---"the Jews." Israelites of the two tribed southern kingdom only were "Jews," those of the ten tribed northern kingdom were not.
Those who were not (ten tribed Israel) went into dispersion hundreds of years before James (about AD 45-60) would describe them as "the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad" (James 1:1). They were one and the same with Christians called "Gentiles" in Paul's epistles. The NT epistles consistently identify Christians called "Gentiles" therein as non-Jew Diaspora Israelites. The religious establishment does not want us to know this.

No, it is the moral law of God, which includes 9 of the 10 commandments. Christ is now our sabbath. In the NT Christians are told to not forsake the assembling of the Saints (Heb 10:25). That is what God replaced the fourth commandment with for us.Which is the 10 commandments
