She needs hydration. I would not hesitate to talk with staff about this and the option to do an IV drip and/or electrolyte enemas for emergency rehydration.
In the area I'm in, the hospitals have the unfortunate protocol to add drugs that inhibit liver / kidney function. When the patients decline, they may not have an appetite or be inclined to drink without assistance.
Rather than remove the culprits (polypharma/drug overdose ), they add drugs to suppress bodily functions.
I don't want you to overreact. I have no idea what is happening with your aunt. I'm just sharing my experiences with a hundred patients who have been "treated" to end life rather than save them.
Family must be advocates for one another.
I will certainly pray for God to touch your aunt in a special healing restorative way.
