Bad hair day or hair going haywire?

Fortunately I have received comfort from referring to it as becoming "rich in years", takes some of the sting away! lol

At my age I'm glad I still have most of my hair, and there's little grey. But then, grey hair on men is "distinguished."
They say blondes have more fun, but what will happen when a blonde is starting to find traces of white in her hair (not from painting the walls). Will the white pull a full takeover in no time?
Asking for a friend.
All hair colors are beautiful, but I envy blondes when they go gray. I have a good friend with curly blonde hair and her gray turned out looking like highlights -- the kind other women pay hundreds of dollars for.
I also envy Asian women with thick, luxurious hair. Unfortunately, my genes didn't get the memo, as my hair is fine and pretty wimpy. When it hangs straight, I wind up looking a lot like Cousin Itt (all I need now are the cool shades.)
Therefore, I have been getting perms since I was around 14 (to make my hair curly -- my black friends, ironically, get what they also call perms -- to make their hair straight.)
My hair is a bit like cotton candy. It's thin and flat by itself, but if you add a bit of curl and air, it just goes WHOOSH!!! The first couple weeks after getting a perm, I look like a sheep that very badly needs to be shorn.
But after it settles down, I get almost a year and half of easy wash'n'go hair. Since my hair is "the darkest brown/light black" (according to salon charts... my hair isn't quite true black in comparison,) any gray strands stands out like dandruff on a black turtle neck sweater!
It's not advised to get two major chemical treatments done (perming AND coloring; though some women do attempt this,) so I'll eventually have to choose. I'll probably stick with the perms -- if I can still find anyone to do them, as most salons don't even offer perms anymore (but that's another story.)
However, I'm getting a gray streak RIGHT SMACK DAB IN THE FRONT (but of course... It couldn't be in the back or under other layers of hair... NOOOOOO,) so I'm having to get used to it.
I'm trying to tell myself that I'm entering into my "X-Men Era," just like Rogue.
And hey, she landed Gambit (whom I've had a crush on since the Saturday morning cartoon, mostly because of his Cajun accent) -- so it can't be all that bad, right?!
Maybe I just need to put that in a dating profile: "Middle-Aged Rogue, Looking For Her Gambit... Leave a Card If Interested, And We'll See If There's Any Kinetic Sparks!"

Hahaha, it’s all really recognizable…whoopsy doopsy…I wasn’t asking for myself…but for…cough cough…a…friend…y’know…my hair is blonde as ever…uhm…until my dear mother told me…erm…my friend, that her hair was going white…said mother also had to add that said mother’s hair was still blonde.
But I’m sure she’s fixing it up with chemicals lol.
Yeah I know that! You also have the advantage of looking better as you’re getting older…hmf.
I’ve noticed changes in myself these past few years my hair turning grey, especialy on my forehead (bangs),my my hands not as strong as they once were, wrinkles beginning to show, and the weight that’s harder to manage. I tried coloring my hair for a while, but I worried about the long-term effects, so I stopped. And the truth is, the greys came rushing back faster than I expected.
Sometimes I wish there was an escape from this road called aging. Sure, we can color our hair or do little things to soften the signs, but wrinkles will still come, our bodies will still shift. Unless we turn to endless surgeries and procedures, like some celebrities do, aging is simply part of the deal of living.
And maybe that’s where acceptance comes in not giving up, but choosing grace. Maybe it’s okay to color our hair if it makes us feel good, but also to let the silver shine when it wants to. Maybe it’s about honoring each change as a marker of a life lived, instead of something to fight. We can’t stop aging, but we can choose how we walk through it with kindness toward ourselves, and even a little pride in each layer our bodies carry

I think black hair can be versatile. Black hair can be straightened too every once in a while. Just deep condition hair, shampoo, regular condition and protective heat spray and then straighten hair. It can get super smooth like Asian straight!
I have Asian hair but YouTube has a way of sending me videos that I didn't even know exists. That's how I know that black hair can be straightened like Asian straight!
But I think braided is nice too. There are a lot of pretty designs. And the cool thing about natural is that you can shape your hair nice and full. It would be nice if I can make my Asian hair nice and full (or fluffy) for a different look!

yes it can be done and braids are great but they don't last long.

Yes, I'm Asian!
I notice in general that every group likes some other group's hair. "Oh I wish my hair had more body!" "Oh I wish my hair was curly!" "Oh I wish I was a blond!" "Oh I wish my hair was black!" Etc. Etc.
It's like we all get sick of our own hair, lol!
Can you post some pictures of women like that? I'd like to get some ideas for that and see if I can pull it off too.

Someone, I can't remember who, said that we'll be resurrected perhaps the same age as Jesus when He died, so that means in our early 30s. Another one said we might look like in our early 20s. I think he was just guessing.
When you say "Soul" body, what age do you think we will be?
I can't imagine any one of us being transformed to look old!
