Exactly,God will provide. As for the rest, I've no idea the laws in the UK so can't put things relating to them in to perspective. All I'm saying is that when it's God vs human law then we as Christians need to follow God. That means possibly losing everything.
Oh yeah I hear what you're saying and I have no qualms with God's law.

Romans 12: 15, 16, 17
Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. Be of the same mind toward one another; do not be haughty in mind, but associate with the lowly. Do not be wise in your own estimation. Never pay back evil for evil to anyone. Respect what is right in the sight of all men. If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men. Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, “VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY,” says the Lord. “BUT IF YOUR ENEMY IS HUNGRY, FEED HIM, AND IF HE IS THIRSTY, GIVE HIM A DRINK; FOR IN SO DOING YOU WILL HEAP BURNING COALS ON HIS HEAD.”Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Romans 13:1, 2
Every person is to be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God. Therefore whoever resists authority has opposed the ordinance of God; and they who have opposed will receive condemnation upon themselves.

You're making a mountain out of a mole hill, storm in a teacup. When Bible loving Christians are forced by man made laws to marry same sex couples then that might be something to really worry about. I don't think man's laws are above God's laws but where one is to show respect for authority and abide by the law of the land like equality laws then that is what one has to do, nobody should be forced to be put in a position where they have to compromise their Bible based conscience on certain matters, one should stand firm for their convictions sure.

You don't understand what the court here has done and you don't appear to understand that this is in fact the tempest...this is Sodom ...this is the perversion of our whole society. When homosexual perversion is equated to a civil right...that means it will in fact be a crime not to approve it in all its forms. that's what the court has just done...If you refuse to marry two black folks..its a crime....if you refuse to marry two sexual perverts...its now a crime and they will soon begin to enforce it and teach to morality of homosexuality to all our children. Its will be a law that it must be taught

Who is talking about taking wrath upon others?

Actually it reads in the Greek that authority must agree with God...do you think Hitler was ordained by God...would you obey a law to kill Jews..or report them?

What?, it is the same here in the UK so I have an understanding, Vengeance is God's not mine.

Two Bible loving Christians here in the UK had a B&B (bed and breakfast) or guest house?, they refused to allow two gay men to stay at their guest house in a double room with a double bed in it, the two gay men were in a civil partnership and were refused the double room but were offered single rooms or a refund, the two gay men prosecuted the Christian couple who were fined by the courts for breach of business equality laws. Another Christian couple had the same scenario, what one Christian couple (man and wife) did was to remove the double beds and replace all beds with single beds even in the double rooms, that is how they were able to live with their Bible based conscience, another couple decided to turn their guest house into a non profit Christian home, that's how they got around the equality law. It is a fine line sometimes but where there is a will there is always a way. No doubt God blessed their efforts for their sacrifices?

This is very insightful and should have been posted earlier.

This is about the equality laws, are you not deviating just to make a reply?

None of the machinations of the second and third couples would be necessary in the U.S., if the judge gave proper credence to the RRFA cited in my previous post. Some judges are activist and choose not to follow the law, but the eventual outcome in some higher court is to enforce the laws as written, not as the judges wish they were.

What if you made them the darned best cake you could possibly make, they enjoy it so much they keep coming back, and you develop a relationship with them where you can share your faith in Christ with them at deeper level rather than if you refused and said so by the way have you heard about Jesus and what He thinks of your sin?
Just brainstorming here

But the Christ was not a baker in business under the law of the land, Jesus was a fisher of men?

But He was still under the law of the land. Remember "render unto Caesar the things that are Caesars"?

Let's say the Romans went to the Jews, including Christ of course, and said a special tax was going to be required to fund the making of a statue of a Roman God.

Do you think Jesus would pay that tax to help fund the statue - or would He refuse?

No comment, I'm talking about equality laws and the original post, look, if in YOUR country then YOU do as YOU see profitable, beneficial.

By participating in something you're giving your agreement and support of it. It's a nice though for it to work that way but it just doesn't. Drinking with an alcoholic to be his buddy isn't going to be the witness you think it is, so why do the same thing in regards to homosexuality?

If a Christian decided it was ok between them and the Lord to reach out...then who could restrict that...but what is going on is the government is mandating that sexual perverts be approved and celebrated ..by force of law

How do you make the switch from apparently giving them moral support in their relationship and their cause, and then tell them they're wrong? That's going to come across as hypocritical.

Surely that wouldn't be a problem just baking a cake, but it's a problem for the Bible based conscience to agree with and write on the cake a politcal message and showing support for the political message?

Regarding this topic, I think the bakery had every right to refuse to make a cake for the couple.

My understanding is that they were polite in the way they addressed the customers. If they had been rude and condescending it would have been a different story.

I wonder if they could have escaped any conflict by just stating that they didn't have the things in stock to assemble such a cake..like the little guy-guy statues that are on top of such cakes.

I think some Christian businesses are going too far out there concerning this issue, though. For instance, some pizza place in Indiana said they weren't going to cater gay weddings. I don't think I'd cater any weddings if I was them, and simply have individuals pick up their pizza order or deliver it without doing catering. That would avoid confrontation on the issue entirely.

Who caters pizza for a wedding anyways?

Personally I do not think this was a christian thing to do. The Bible teaches us to love and accept all people no matter what. It is not in our place to judge or condemn them, that is God's job not ours. Even says so in Mathew. Somebody had told me that these people were standing up for their christianity, let's point out that your christianity needs to be threatened before it's called standing up for it. That gay couple didn't ask them to take down their cross, or try and sue them for being christians or tell them they couldn't say or do this, they just came in and wanted a cake. If I seen a kid at school, he had never bullied me but I knew he bullied other kids so I walk up and punch him, nobody is gonna say that I was standing up for myself because he never threatened me. The same applies here, point being that if it had been Jesus running that cake shop. He would've taken their money, baked their cake, said God bless you and let them go on their way. And that's really all that should've been said

Yeah i guess i wouldnt know what i would do in that situation, good thing i aint a baker. But if i think about, if a homosexual came to me asking to build them a website promoting homosexual equality or something, i wouldnt be able to do it! Same instance i think.

Imagine that. "Ruthie's" already gone, without a trace.

Boy, our mods are good!

But nobody has to support that law or agree with same sex marriages or support the LGBT community etc, what one can do is adapt to ever changing worldly environments, it's not easy though and sacrifices might have to be made so as not to fall foul of a man made law. But, from what many claim on here God gives out Holy Spirit to all Christians so what is lost then surely something greater is gained? what are the testimonies of Christians who have experienced this type of persecution? or does Holy Spirit not bring joy then?
