 Can someone that wilfully sins by having malice and slander or hatred ( which are all works of the flesh ) and not repenting of them go to heaven if they die tonight?

I want to know about this "living after the flesh" idea.

I believe this question will reveal some things. It is a legitimate question about "real life" situations and living after the flesh.

Answer the question below so that we understand what "living after the flesh" looks like in real life:

 Let's look at this sin business for a bit. Slander is just as much a sin as fornication. ( Gal. 5 )

So, let's say someone has been slandering other people for years. All of a sudden they die...does this one that was slandering people now not go to heaven?

...in some people's thinking they would go to hell because they have been "living after the flesh"?

Or what about gluttony which is a sin - what if someone has a battle with overeating all the time and they die - do they go to hell because they were not able to overcome this as this is "living after the flesh" too?

These 2 scenarios above would be people "living in the flesh" and as you call being a servant to sin ( even though they are free in Christ but don't know it yet and haven't gown up in the Lord enough spiritually to overcome them ).

These 2 groups of people in some people's theology would not be children of God and thus go to hell..is that right?

Herod wasn't his brother though, remember Jesus said don't call someone a fool? My focus on sin, is anything that isn't a fruit of the Spirit. After all we are called to follow Him. And every day I'm growing in grace lol

So when people sin, they are unborn and reborn, and unborn and reborn again every time they do? No I can't agree with that based on Scripture alone.

Isn't you who post those born of God won't practice sin? So why would you ask me a question saying those born of God who don't turn to Him? It's impossible for me to answer that question as yes or no.

Example I've seen you call people nicknames, and in a mean way, to me that is sin, if you don't repent does that mean you're not saved, you were saved, or you're saved, but believing some lies? I'm happy to say I believe #3 about you.

Find out how one can become "twice dead"=fruit withers, they die again, and are gathered to be burned.

No problem, and I did say that you were trailing off in a different direction than what I was pointing out in that previous verse.

I tossed the one in (you see now) to show you I can see you can sin hating your brother, but that also shows it had less to do with word or tongue (even there) and everything to do with doing so in deed and in truth.

My opinion? I know you didn't ask me - but here goes - foot in mouth!!

I don't think the basis of getting to heaven is the sins we commit - it is based on our faith in God.

The Christian can and may commit any of the sins you mention, but if his faith is in Christ, any and all are forgiven because of the blood of Jesus Christ.
 
So if they repent, they can be three, four and five times dead?

Interesting because Scripture says no man can tear us out of His hand, nothing can separate me from His love, and it's not I who live but Christ in me, and He will never leave us or forsake us.

Maybe you should find out about those Scriptures.

Then he isnt sinning if he doesnt regard who he calls a nickname a brother? LOL!

Jesus looked on Peter and called him Satan :p
 
Yes I agree! We love because He loved us, that's why it can't be forced or its pretty much fake or what I consider religion.

I think that's the difference between works and fruit.

One is self effort
The other is the vine flowing through us.

He is if he's not living out of love and faith in God, this what Scripture calls sin. But that's how I see it. Maybe not how he does. I told him my definition of sin was heavier than his.

If I don't love as Jesus loved me, I'm missing the mark.

My answer is the same as it was the very first time you asked it. But after I answered it with scripture, then you tried to imply I was saying something else by injecting your own assumptions into my response by saying, "So you are saying......" But that was not what I was saying. Then you even reworded the question to try make it seem like I was saying something I was not. That is why I told you the last few times you tried this again I am not playing your games because you try to misrepresent what I say, like you also do with scripture. BYE!

I am more than able to correct my wording to be more clear.

That is right ..... the righteousness in me is God's imputed righteousness by the finished work of Christ on the cross. To God be the Glory!

It really depends on his intentions and that's between him and Holy Spirit.

Yeah if you see your brother in need and just walk on by him when you have it in your power to help him, that becomes a whole other question concerning us, and that pertains to how can the love of God be in us.
 
And I believe it is this idea that the whole of Scripture brings us.

Jesus laid down His life completely out love for us and God.

This is true religion.

Taking care of those in affliction, the sheep and the goats, is the real test. Do we love God? It is shown in our love for each other.

I agree...so it is possible for Christians to walk after the flesh and still go to heaven because we could put any number of scenarios in there.

I say let's preach the grace of Christ as it teaches us how to live godly in this present world and this includes all types of sin like malice ( name-calling, insults ) slander, hatred, strife as well as the "biggie sins" like drunkenness and murder, stealing, adultery.
