God has been doing something and working in me the past 4 weeks. It's been so hard and he's just making it harder and harder. I've disciplined myself just so I would stay faithful but it's getting too hard. I've been praying asking God to remove this confusion that I have and to help me and make it easier but he hasn't answered any of the prayers I've asked him the past 3 weeks. I'm so depressed and unhappy. I've come too far to give up. I've been crying on and off all day. I haven't been happy in about a month now. I'm hating every second of this. For the life of me, I don't understand how people have such an easy time staying faithful. To me, it's the absolute hardest thing ever and I just don't get it. I am getting to the point of throwing in the towel. I've just about had it.

Christian life is supposed to be filled with joy. Mine is filled with unhappiness and depression and confusion and holding on by a string. What kind of life is that??

i want to be carefree and happy again like I used to be.

Im so nervous not wanting to turn on God yet he's making this so extremely difficult to hang on. I have asked him to continue to mold me but he's changing things in me and continuously making it harder. I just don't understand. Every single day this last month has been a huge battle. I've spent hours in prayer believing and trusting and hoping. I'm just so unhappy. I don't have any peace. I have unrest.

I've been playing the song Overcomer and so far I have overcame but now this.... this is the toughest day of them all so far.

Hi Maniastar...God said Be still and know that I am God...It sounds to me from your post that you are doing lots of trying instead of resting, if this is the case then you are fighting against God...When we have moments in life like yourself, you need to read what Jesus says " Come to Me ALL those who are weary and I will give you rest:), but to me it seems like you are fighting with yourself:rolleyes:...Take your eyes from you and keep them on Him, let God be God, let His power work through you,...I do not know where you heard that a Christian life was easy, you do understand what Jesus went through:confused:, there are many valleys we go through, but also many mountain tops that we see from, read the Psalms of David, they will fill your heart with comfort through our Lord Jesus, stop working things out, Praise God in the good and the bad, when we come through our trials , He gives us the victory because we lean, trust and rely on Him...I pray that your peace in our Lord returns to you, remember, the devil wants your joy, tell him to get behind you, just as Jesus did when He was tempted in the dessert...xox...

Prayers for you, ManiaStar.

I'm sorry you are struggling. Let's start with a deep breath. You have a lot going on in these few sentences. It sounds as though God has something truly special just for you. God sometimes allows trials to strengthen us, to prove to ourselves that we are strong in faith. He also answers prayers in His time, not ours. It is hard, but after praying, we have to let go and actually let God do. Is it easy? Nope, but it seems you may be deeply entrenched in looking for an answer. Try to relax, use meditation, yoga, soothing music, journaling, whatever helps you to relax. Then maybe try focusing on tasks at hand. Sometimes answered prayers come when we least expect it. And sometimes, the answer is not what we are looking for. Prayers for peace as you await His will.

You haven't been happy in a month? Some people go through their entire lives without being happy. Being joyful does not equate to being happy.

You're not married, no kids to be responsible for so there is no reason for you not to be carefree. I do understand that your going through some personal struggles but what doesn't kill us will only make us stronger. I'm not sure it that's biblical or not but that has been my experience in my life.

I have prayed for God to give you clarity of thought and peace in your heart.

You're right about one thing and that is you have come to far to give up. God working on you for 4 weeks is not a long time. God has been working on me most of my life. You just do the best that you can with what God has given you and hope for the best.

It's not so bad if you think about it.
