Hi guys,

So im a Caribean young Woman(living in Turks & Caicos Isl.) and trust me its so dificult to find Other young Christian adults to hang out but worst "finding someone to date".
I feel like i have compromised so much in my past! But refuse to do it now; ive learnt my lesson. Remember that verse Wolf in Cheap Clothing.

Have any of you dated someone that was close to your full package but the main thing missing was Christianity?

I almost dated 2.. Ohhh thank you Lord for opening my eyes!

And would you end friendships with a childhood friend that is not necessarily a christian?
Proverbs says don't be fooled bad company ruins good Morals.. I am trying my best to obey God's Word but i sawin the perspective that once I'm not being influenced by them I'm good.

Oh My Goodness! Yes! It was hard, but I finally ended it because I had to be honest with myself and God. I just couldn't see myself being submissive to a guy who's not submissive to God.

I don't end those friendships, because I pray that they'll see the light in me (Jesus) and will turn to Him and be saved. Now, I wouldn't say that they're my best friends. They're not someone that I can confide in, because they wouldn't give me counsel according to God's Word. I don't allow them to influence me. I pray that I am influencing them. :)

Why is that? Relationships require compromise. (If you meant you refuse to compromise your values, that makes sense.)

No. Lol. Two exes were Christian, two weren't. The two that weren't acted more Christian than the two that claimed to be Christian. It has taught me that how people self identify is no real indication of how they live their lives.

No, though I am not identifying as Christian these days. I'm more concerned with a person's character and integrity than their religious position.

Hi Siberian,

by compromise i meant compromising my faith.

and lol it is funny but eye opening when a non christian behaves more like one the the person that CLAIMS they are! Thats y i am not moved by a person that just says it, they have to show it, because in this small Island on which i Live, almost everyone is of the christian Faith but 80% don't want to be disciples of God and pick up their cross and walk.
 
Okay, I had a feeling you meant that. :) And I agree, maintain your values/faith! Your island isn't the only place where people's spiritual status is kind of ambiguous, or misrepresented. Good thing they have you to model what it's all about, right? ;)
