there you are, I said it - feel free to get the pitchforks and burn the heathen! I am actually a transexual Christian , and on reading the old testament- which I only recently finished with, I surprisingly found there was more rules against eating shellfish and worshipping idols than there were about gays/bis/lesbians/trans culture. It's not about what's in the Bible, the hatred of us boils down to fear.
I have no wish to start a fight only to look at the big picture and see the light shining through. That is this.
Jesus was not a hater of gays, he did not attack people for being in love- yes sex and marriage is still an issue, I don't deny, however he would have been the first to befriend the drunks, gays, prostitutes, outcasts and the downtrod. He came for them, not for those with money and a fast car.
Enough from me for today
Beth

This is what is important: "Offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy, acceptable (pleasing) to God. This is your spiritual act of worship." Romans 12:1

God just wants to use you as His vessel. He doesn't care what sex or shape that vessel comes in. But it is HIS LIFE IN YOU that is what he desires.

thank you... I appreciate your support there Joiedevivre, it's funny how often his word is misinterpreted and used for hate is it not?

Our job is not to judge, that is for God alone when we all come before him "warts 'n' all". Our job is to love. "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone." - Jesus.
I say let your own conscience be your guide. Be honest with yourself, what do YOU TRULY feel? What do YOU TRULY believe? All I will add to this is that you should not alter scripture to fit in with your lifestyle but alter your lifestyle to fit scripture.
God bless.

The way you were made...thats intersting...i suppose now the child molester and the others have a nice lil excuse for their willful disregard for Natural and Moral Law. Good job for giving them a reason to shout out why its okay to say Its the way I was made. Oh and The comment about being scared..can you clear that up if you dont mind? What exactly are we afraid of?

Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be decieved: men who practice homosexuality will not inherit the kingdom of God. There are those men who gave up natural relations with women and we're consumed with passion for one another, men commiting shameless acts with men and receiving in themselfs the due penalty for their error, as they didnt like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind. Thought they knew God's judgement and degree that those who practice such things deserve to die, not only do the same but have pleasure and approval to those who practice it. Just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities, which likewise which indulged in sexual immorality and pursued unnatural desire, serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire. You shall not lie with a male as with a woman, it is an abomination.

Eternalblessings is a WOMAN, not a man..hence her pink nickname.. and it's entire possible that she was born with both male and female genitalia..that is what a transsexual is.. She did say it was how she was made so I assume she was born with both genitalia..

I have no wish to start a fight

Usually people trying not to start fights don't go someplace and insult everyone.

And blue, you're wrong again. Hermaphrodite is born with both genitalia (a person, plant, or animal that has both male and female parts).
Transgender "of, relating to, or being a person (as a transsexual or transvestite) who identifies with or expresses a gender identity that differs from the one which corresponds to the person's sex at birth "
The connection is psychological, not physical.

Transsexual "a person who tries to look, dress, and act like a member of the opposite sex; especially : someone who medically changes himself or herself into a member of the opposite sex"

Transvestite - "a person and especially a male who adopts the dress and often the behavior typical of the opposite sex especially for purposes of emotional or sexual gratification "

So, no, your definition of transsexual is wrong.

so much intolerance here, does no the bible say "Thou shalt not judge?"
And did not Jesus come to befriend the outcast, homeless, those without direction and people in need? I am as much Christian as any of you, and I do not hide my history and what I am.
Sodom and Gomorrah was about one thing before anyone brings it up, they raped the angels and went into serious depravity. Yes, they were gay as well but the carnal sin there was how they treated God's messengers.

You believe in Jesus from all your heart? Jesus is our new and eternal hope. He is Love, He is the Verb, He is. He came to say to us to regret from ours sins, ask forgiveness to the Lord, forgive one to other, AND, (the one I think the most important), DO NOT SIN ANYMORE. :)

Recently we can see churches preaching only to love and forgetting to obey some God's rules for our own good living. They are going through the easiest way to attract more followers. And we know the Lord doesn't work like that.

I could have become a lesbian (the evil teaches us from tv since we're little, to be promiscue), or a drug user, but I felt the presence of the Lord is bigger and infinite better than any offer in this dark world.

Still in time...

31 Whether of them twain did the will of {his} father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.
32 For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had seen {it}, repented not afterward, that ye might believe him.

Mathews 21:31,32 :)

I think we see God quite differently, my feelings inside are feminine but the body outside is masculine, you are saying I should just live in between the two?? I did not make an easy choice, nor do I walk the short path of fast rides and super thrills. I chose not to do this though. Why? Because I choose to struggle and survive on, even without the love of a partner or the joy of sex. My journey may not be yours, it is one where I learn to understand and support those who need.

As for starting a fight, again that is not my intention. I want to open the mind to difference and show you that your world is not black and white, people have light and dark inside them. However in doing so I have seen people lighting their pitchforks and getting ready to lynch. This makes me sad. If Christians can not accept other Christians, who can they accept?

Ok Ugly, ty for the clarification. :)

Again, eternal, you can't show up and start throwing out accusations and attitude then turn around and say 'but i'm not trying to start a fight but open minds'.
I agree that Christians need to be more accepting of people (not their sins though) and i may have been on your side had you not treated everyone like an enemy from the start. You've put me on the defense that you are just here to cause trouble because of the attitude you presented. You seemed to have done more damage rather than have a positive effect.

eternalblessings - I do not judge you, as I know that I am not myself the Judge. I do not look down on you, and I do not hate you. I do not suppose that your sins are more or bigger or heavier than mine. I even think, that if God would not restrain or guide the desires of my heart, I could anytime end up longing to be of the opposite sex or such.
BUT, this does not mean, that I consider your views true.
According to my present knowledge of God and His truth, I believe that God does not delight in mixing up the genders:
"A woman shall not wear man's clothing, nor shall a man put on a woman's clothing; for whoever does these things is an abomination to the LORD your God." (Deutronomy 22:5)

Now, the following you might find rather harsh.. Do not take it as a personal attack, but the lustful desires, and anything evil and the inability to discern right from wrong is what we all have without God. I did have lustful desires myself, and I sinned, maybe in different ways than you did, but that does not make a real difference between us when it comes to righteousness in front of the Lord. So here is what I'd like to draw your attention to:

"
18The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness,19since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.21For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.24Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.26Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.
28Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. 29They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. 32Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them." (Romans 1:18-32)

Now, as I said--- all of us fall short at righteousness... And here comes Jesus.
What I see, that many of us forget (sometimes even willingly) is that Jesus did not only come to pay for our sins, so that we won't have to go to hell anymore, but to CLEAR us from our sins...
