Over the years, the one tv series that I have noticed that had one of the best soundtracks, is Airwolf. On top of that, the series was well ahead of its time in comparison to other tv shows of that era.

Its been the same show for me for years now. Home Movies has the best soundtrack ever, the music totally speaks to me. Dont think Ill ever find a show with better music.
The show was all around relatable to me.

A current series that has tons of AWESOME classic rock from the 70s is Supernatural. There's an episode towards the end of season two that plays Styx Renegade.

Supernatural, Nightshifter episode. Youtube_LINK The Winchester brothers are hunters of monsters. They are trapped in a bank with a guy who took everyone hostage. The FBI takes out the guy, but one of the hostages is actually a shapeshifter that the Winchesters are after. The FBI thinks the Winchesters have taken the hostages and are closing in. Dean and Sam Winchester are in the bank trying to kill the shapeshifter--which they do: the shapeshifter took the form of a girl who is in 22 seconds in the LINK. (WARNING: Blood in some scenes in the LINK above--no violence though)

Why is it that we can remember all the words to the Gilligan's Island theme song but we can't name the 19 books that come after Proverbs? (Or at least I can't.) lol :)

That's a good question. Lol someone should come up with a catchy jingle to the books of the Old Testament. I still remember the Father Abraham chant we did when I went to vacation bible school years ago

Call me a Nickelodeon kid, but this one tune from an episode of Doug always stayed with me. Has this mystical feel to it.

Oh wow, I had forgotten about that song. I love that style of music, yeah.

Doug had alot of really cool music, like even today I still occasionally remember The Beets. I always liked that song "I need more money".
"WHY?!"
"Because I do!"
Haha, was a good show : p

I think the song was actually called "I need more allowance." Not that the title of it really matters, though. :)

How about the Andy Griffith show? You can still hear the whistle and recognize it right away anytime, anywhere!

Best theme song goes to Gilligan's Island though. Skip the words, and pick just about any song you know, and you can use the tune, but keep the words, to sound like Gilligan's Island.

For example, Amazing Grace can be sung to the Gilligan's Island tune.
