What about matt 23 that has people singing Kumbaya?..Oh..I see..He was talking to the Pharisees...I talked about that at the start too....He had very stern things to say to the religious people....I included that...in post #89

You can see the whole progression where this all stemmed from post # 120..it has referenced all the other posts involved...

without grace all those things are meaningless.

I had to learn that the hard way..

I can be gratefull, and praise God because of Grace he gave me all those things..

I deserve hell.. Thus anything I get I get because of Grace, because I do not deserve anything..

I wonder if again the definition different people hold is the point of contention, bot the word itself.
 
No..i did say a number of times that God hates the things that destroy His children..and there are lot's of them!...but He does not hate people..He hates the sin in them ....

I like to put it this way..a mother has a child in the lawn....she looks and see all these hornets coming around her son...she runs and swats at the hornets to kill them ...the son sees a hateful , vengeful mother in her full fury....but she is after the hornets attacking ..not after her son..

The Lord doesn't hate people, I can't remember where in scripture at the moment, but He takes no ultimate delight in judgment, just wonder, as a man, what it is when His patience is at an end? It does end. Whatever you want to call it, the God of wrath had best be taken most seriously and avoided, that we learn the whole gospel of the Bible! Anyway, it seems like people may be miscommunicating some things, as if some words are the hangups, so I'll butt out, find some place else to do some miscommunicating of my own.

Amen...and you can't separate grace from Jesus..nor Jesus from grace....anymore then we can separate "wet" from water.....post #146 shows about grace and Jesus..

Grace and Jesus are synonymous.

Until maybe the kid tells her to bugger off one time too many, that he likes wasps, then she just may put the hornet's nest in his bed. Also, you're presuming God's dealing with everybody as a son. Read Hebrews 12, the Lord not parental of all.

Crossnote is a man that loves God with all his heart....and is a blessing to all of us in the body of Christ..I want to say that and he just has different opinions on the grace of Christ..and that is ok....one day all of us will be standing and worshipping the Lord together and we will be singing this song...

Yes, one day we'll all be singing such (well, haven't listened yet, hope it's not a tribute to Kenneth Copeland...), and you'll come to see Crossnote and I were right.

Wow I'm glad you said this. This lies at the heart of what the gnostics believed. They hated the GOD of the old covenant (YHWH) because they esteemed him to be a legalist and vengeful. They claimed that Jesus brought a new gnosis (knowledge) to awaken the god within, so that the chosen few could escape from the bondage of the corruption of the material world that the old covenant god created, and be reunited with the father.

So here we see the distinction trying to be made between the god of the old covenant (legalism) and the god of the new covenant (grace).

This is probably one of those instances he didn't exactly mean what that looks like. Be patient. You don't know that Canada doesn't have water problems like Flint, either.

I don't attribute it to Grace either in that since, and neither does the Catholic's who are accused of Universalism.

Catholic's do not believe everyone will get to heaven, they believed and taught that only those in the Catholic church will go to heaven. And I said believed (past tense) because they are breaking away from that false teaching !!!

However my point was that is not what universal originally meant by the word catholic, it meant anybody no matter where they came from, back ground, ethnic culture, and such can become believers in Christ !!!

I don't recall PeterJens saying everybody is going to heaven either, please show me where he made that claim ???

He would never admit that his beliefs are anything like gnostic beliefs, but I think he inadvertently let the cat out of the bag. If you watch closely, their whole teaching is based on rightly dividing between the old and new covenants; which to them means that anything involving dos and don'ts is old covenant (legalism.religion), and anything that is devoid of the same is new covenant (grace).

No, You do not even listen to what anyone says.

You think you know what they believe, and judge based on that and that alone..

you have been, told time and again, through scripture. so your discernment is been weight and found in want by history.
do you want to answer, anything else. your discernment, if you can back it up then it a lie.

so your on, here because of a religion stand then. bible discussion, not religion answer to bible stand.
