Thanks for the example I mentioned in my Op, of how one rejects certain scriptures by saying it is not to "us Christians", but to those other "Hebrew" Christians. LOL Classic :)

Yes okay. Real funny. I'm sorry, but you should really apply that to yourself as well. Anyway, thanks for the one sided discussion. It was interesting. Thanks also to those who posted nicely. God bless to you all! Peace and good night! :D

1 John 2:KJV
1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

If any man sin ,,, Future Tense...

Pay attention to what I said in my OP----->>>>>
Now, don’t get me wrong. God can and will forgive you all your past sins, and even future sins, but there are some “ifs” or conditions that have be met by the believer if one sins after coming to Christ and being washed.

Example....
1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness

Thanks for the example I mentioned in my Op, of how one rejects certain scriptures by saying it is not to "us Christians", but to those other "Hebrew" Christians. LOL Classic :)
This letter was to the Hebrew Christians, wasn't it? why would i see it other wise. it was being addressed to those who were previously under the law before becoming Christians. and the last time i check, the gentiles did not know anything about animal sacrifices!! so what would make anyone think that this letter applies to everyone? For how long will you fight TRUTH? For how long will you keep misinterpreting the Word of God to suit your religious claims?

inspiritintruth ...All sin is willful...and yes that includes when people slander others in the body of Christ or are walking in malice towards others. Theses sins are no different then one who is practicing homosexuality sins. You and all of us will be blessed to know that if you died tonight - the blood of our Lord Jesus would still be cleansing you of your sin and if you are in fact in Christ - you would be in His presence despite your wilful sinning.

This truth applies to all of us.

The only wilful sin talked about in Hebrews 10 is the sin of unbelief in the sacrifice of Christ for sins.

Hebrews 10 is talking about Jewish people after hearing about Christ for the only sacrifice for sins and rejecting it to go back to the temple sacrifices for their sins.

Again, another fine example of what I was showing in my OP of how in order to uphold a false belief one must reject, misrepresent, twist, and even distort certain parts of scripture. Jewish Christians are in fact "Christians" too people. And thanks again for confirming the points I was making in the OP. :)

Just ignore him - he loves to "bait" people that disagree with him. You are fairly new here and not used to his tactics and behavior.

Soon you will be called a false teacher just like everyone else that has a different belief in some scriptures than he does. I have seen him call those that believe in the rapture different than him - false teachers. This happens in every instance that people disagree with him. It is best sometimes to implement Romans 16:17 to these situations.

This letter was to the Hebrew Christians, wasn't it?

And Romans was written to Christians in Rome, Galatians to Christians in Galatia, Corinthians written to those Christians in Corinth. So do you dismiss all doctrine not specifically addressed to you? LOL :)

Gee..I wonder why they call the book Hebrews???? I'm not falling for your "baiting" and I highly doubt others are too. We are on to your tactics and deception. I encourage everyone to click on your name and see the posts that you make and they can readily see the "spirit" that is driving them.

When someone never talks about Jesus and His love and grace but in all posts there is nothing but condemnation, demonic, death, sin and accursedness and evil and hatred - there is something wrong.

None of us dispute the words of God or Jesus - what we dispute is your "application" of those words and also the "spirit" that drives your posts. Your so-called ministry which is NOT from the Holy Spirit - that is what most people here reject concerning your posts.

The gospel of the grace of Christ is never spoken of - the Lord Jesus and His beauty is never spoken about. All this speaks volumes to me.

Jesus in His own words had this to say about "this spirit".

Luke 9:54-56 (NASB)
[SUP]54 [/SUP]
When His disciples James and John saw this, they said, "Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them?"

[SUP]55 [/SUP] But He turned and rebuked them, and said, "You do not know what kind of spirit you are of
;

[SUP]56 [/SUP] for the Son of Man did not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them."

You have just praised the posts of InSpiritInTruth in this thread to be truth and InSpiritInTruth declared that the Atonement of Jesus only covers past sins.. So when you where saved all your past sins where forgiven.. But InSpiritInTruth delares that future sins are NOT covered by the Atonement of the LORD Jesus Christ..

Oh my, bear false witness much? Again, notice what I said in my OP--->>>>

Gee..I wonder why they call the book Hebrews????

They were Christians. :)

Galatians 3:28
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

Colossians 3:11
Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

Example....
1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness
Did God consider these conditions(the" ifs") before going to the cross or why would he now introduced conditions for us as a means of receiving this salvation or staying saved?

Can you imagine God saying" Son, go into the world and see to it that these people ask for forgiveness before you die on the cross for their sins. and if they don't, leave them and come back to me"?. Is that what you are insinuation bro?
Now see this " That is, God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them!"(2 Cor 5: 19) Does this real sound like conditional? what makes you think that unless we confess, we are we are not forgiven

There is a whole thread dedicated to 1 John 1:9 and it shows both views of people. Some believe it is referring to the gnostics who said that there is no such thing as sin - so they don't have any.

There are those that think we need to use 1 John 1:9 like a bar of soap to cleans us because Christ didn't take all sins away and forgive you with His blood - you need to do other things to get cleansed now.

As, you can see by the polls in this thread a year ago alot didn't know for sure which view is correct. Religious strongholds in our minds are very hard to get uprooted as "we think we are defending the faith" but we could be just "defending our traditions".

Let everyone be fully convinced in their own hearts and be willing to listen to the Holy Spirit.

Oh i forgot to say this; Pls Take time to study the context of all the "IFS" in the NT; Why? you may ask. Bc the use of "IF" in the NT most of the time, denotes conclusions and not conditions like in the OT

It is for you if you are one, like those being referenced, who have rejected the grace of God in favor of falling back to the Law.

the plain text for 1 John 1:9 does not need a bunch of splainin'.

Rather the plain text of 1 John 2:12 is what needs a bunch of splainin' by ya'll........

"I am writing to you, dear children, because your sins have been forgiven on account of His name."

the plain text for 1 John 1:9 does not need a bunch of splainin'.

This scripture in Ex. 32:33 is plain too....but is it the whole truth all by itself? No...because of Christ's work at redeeming us and setting us free from sin and we now have complete forgiveness of sins is the real truth behind the truth in Ex. 32:33

Exodus 32:33 (NASB)
[SUP]33 [/SUP] The LORD said to Moses, "Whoever has sinned against Me, I will blot him out of My book.

We've let the wolves and the paid-false-prophets of Baal teach us long enough.
We can read for ourselves now.

The other aspect is that we need to interpret all scriptures in light of the finished work of Christ.

Not all scripture is written "to" us but all scripture is written "for" us to learn from. There is a massive difference. You take some one else's medicine meant for someone else and you'll be sick yourself and that needlessly.

If we don't interpret all scripture through the filter of the work of Christ after the cross and resurrection and ascension - we will come up with all kinds of religious, good sounding doctrines but in reality they could be violating the truth of Christ's completed work.

This will cause some people to say " That is just your opinion" and thus there will be conflicts because they interpret it differently.

And of course if you don't view it the way our group views some scripture - then you are a cult and a heretic and a false teacher...etc.

The bible is the most beautiful book in the world and at the same time the most dangerous book in the world.

You can make the bible say anything you want it to say when you don't filter "all" of it through Christ's completed work. The scriptures are all about Christ and what He has done for us in His love and grace. He alone is our life.

And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

Revelation 18:4 (KJV, MBM)
