We could meet inside if we wanted to. No one in our community is going to care. Other churches are meeting. However, we chose to do it outside to avoid the appearance of stupid. LOL
California is persecuting the church and the church is letting them do it.

Actually in California the church had placed on it unjust and unfair restrictions which the governor is being sued. Yes we have virus but that did not matter when a man in Minnesota was killed and thousands in california protested and rioting. The church had just opened. it is no silly rumor, that is the truth. as an essential worker we have worked very hard to flatten the curve which was all lost when the protest started and our leadership failed. NOW the church can't sing and worship God and that is a silly rumor?. Those say you can live stream, and even hold service out side. Yes the Government is saying yo can't pray and yes it is the government in the State of California saying you can't worship as one desires to their conviction. IF you as church are choosing to live stream again Choosing to not forced to as an option, your rights are being violated. I addition many of us " Essential workers" have been serving the community placing ourselves at risk and continue to do so. many EMT's doctors and nurses who attend our church have asked when the church will be open some can gather. The guidelines placed the church were very much controlling. I did not many bars , restaurants social distancing and Sanitizing as the church was required. You are wrong. It is no more a risk for me to go and serve the community and remember essential means I have to work, place myself at risk with over a 100,000 meals we have served with people who I don't know if they are A- symptomatic or symptomatic. There is much more risk doing what I am doing and continue to do and go home to my family then there is going to church and prayer once a week. You bow down all you want. But don't suggest it is silly or not true.

Well brother I'll admit and apologize, I was probably one of them. But then I started to hear some facts and now I'm totally on the other side of the discussion. It's totally clear that the cases they are counting aren't true information. They have been caught red handed. I heard on the news the other day that a man in Ohio who's mother is in the hospital has been Covid tested 15 times, every time counts as a separate case. I've heard on the news that people have been waiting in line, decided the wait was too long and left and were sent letters saying they tested positive. In other places 100% of the people were positive.
I've changed my mind totally. I don't believe mask wearing helps, I don't even know if I believe staying at home helped. I think we're going to find out we over reacted and may have put the country in free fall. Time will tell. But many are still swallowing this hook, line and sinker. Hubby and I actually went to our local Capitol to protest, about a thousand people showed up. That is how far I have changed my mind. When I saw "leaders" saying it was safe to protest after we had all been told to social distance,wear masks, and stay home, yeah I started realizing I had drunk the Kool Aid. smh

I don't want to discount that wonderful news in any way. But back in the day churches always held outdoor services, I can't tell you how many I've personally done. A little hard here in the south where it will be 95 degrees this weekend and feel like 103. I'm not against outdoor services when possible. All that being said religious rights are very important. The Dem/Progressives kept stores that sell alcohol open, they were deemed "essential", the local hardwares stayed open and people were there in droves buying flowers and mulch. Many golf courses stayed open. But what bothered me most was that while many operations were cancelled, the abortion clinic was deemed essential and stayed open. My mother was just going through cancer at that time and we were so frightened that her operation was going to be cancelled. Thankfully it wasn't. But when the gov't restricts the church and deems it not essential but keeps abortion clinics open, no, I cannot hold with that, and I don't think Christians should. Discernment is needed, the gov't isn't always right, we need to know when to stand up against them. And that time is now, for many reasons, this is just one.

Well here's my ten cents on that comment. I don't know if you live state side, but if you do you know of Lowes. If you don't, it's a huge hardware and garden store. During the peak of this COVID hubby and I had to get an item and figured we'd run in quickly and get it. We drove into the parking lot and it looked like Christmas. You could not move for people. We decided not to go in but wait and go a less crowded day. Well that never came. Finally they decided to make people line up and wait outside to get in to have fewer people in the store. This was before the "mask mandate" no one was wearing them because they were saying you touch your face more and they weren't safe to use.
We went in with no masks, got the item and got out asap. The next time we rode by the store the line was into the parking lot to get in. No one was six ft apart or they'd be lined up down the road. So I don't see why are church needs to be shut down when places like this, and even small stores, stayed open. Along with the local liquor stores. Churches can adapt the same as any store can. 
I respect the right for others to hold their own opinions, but I'm not seeing "persecution" in what was described.

that is great 1000 saved each week. How are you providing discipleship for all those new Converts? No, the Bible does not say we are to obey unjust Governors when they say chosen man or God to obey. If that was True the early church would nave had grown. They were ordered NEVER to preach in the Name of Jesus. What did Peter say?

Well if you have fully read what I have posted the answer is yes. When the POTUS said, " Church are Essential". The Governor of my State did not do anything to remove restrictions on the Church and religious groups. Churches received a different guideline Than bar and restaurants when they were allowed to eat & drink inside. many many restaurants were overloaded and the police did not come to shut them down. Which too many sheriffs have said they will not support the guidelines of the Governor, oh my. The thought that police won't enforce restaurant to adhere. But They came to our church
. Yes, we can just say as others we going to do it. The godly thing to do is follow the guideline and social distancing, sanitize, live stream, hold service outside, ensure 25 % of capacity is allowed. But to tell us, the church we can't sing and worship the Lord? When those were singing karaoke having live music in bars LOL.
I ask because I have no doubt non-Christians for the most part are being left alone. I hear those who say " we have church outside" or "we live stream". Fyi many of us have been doing that for years That is nothing new.
only popular because the government closed inside services. The number one group who saw live stream were our elderly who could not make it to church. it is one thing to make the decision to have an outside church over you can't sing or worship.

In case you're not aware, the virus has spiked here in CA. Many have been stricken and it's only common sense to take every precaution. As I stated our Church since the virus has had huge amounts of salvations each week from all over the world. We send out free the NT to them. Some people either can't or won't go to in service Church so there's that. There are some churches also that don't want to reopen yet.
How is Gov Newsom making unjust laws?
is it common sense to inflate the numbers and call everything COVID-19 when it is not? Do you even know the number of those who have recovered in CA?

Supposed: I was shocked to see this number 1586 of those they think may have it. where is the number of those who recovered? Ok, let's try some simple math.
356178 cases in CA - deaths = 348833 Recoveries 98 % recovery rate. as on July 16th in CA
