Why are you seeking a romantic relationship before you find friends?

The internet is one of the worst places to try and find a romantic partner....people have done it in the past yes....but today people are a lot less honest than they used to be on the internet.

Your pic shows you to be a nice young guy....you got time.

You just live life fully by making platonic relationships and valuing the people.

That's the real gold in every century in the past, present and future....worth a lot more than anything else in this money and prestige seeking society we live within.

Make friends and your friends won't let a good Christian man stay single for long. It's just the way it works. Not that giving to get works....just be friendly with people...evaluate which relationships have a positive effect in your life and which have negative effects. Focus on those with positive effects. Don't focus on your feelings so much. (It ain't healthy) critically analyze who is doing what....like is a person to self absorbed? Too manipulative? Too trendy? Too greedy? Too carefree? (Likes to party too much) Enjoys being the "bad guy/girl"?

People treat you differently when they finally realize that you value them. What you want is someone to value you the way you value them. Difficult to find...so take some time.

I think you need to get to know people in-person in group settings at church or in other Christian groups if you are looking for a potential wife. People need to get to know you and you need to get to know (and trust) them.

I would not want my daughter forming a relationship via the internet! My one daughter, who works in retail, had a friendship with a much older man that wanted to discuss the bible. It turns out he was after something else as he gave her a letter that was down-right creepy and I told her to keep it in case we needed a restraining order!

I would not give up hope just yet. I met my wife on this site shortly after I joined in 2014. I agree that true commitment is key. You just never know who you are going to me. I would start by initiatind and informal conversation in the various threads to someone who may be of interest to you. Later, you might try to send a private message and see what happens. Anyway, this worked for me and I wish you all of God's best. You just never know who you are going to meet. Could be your future wife.

I met my first husband through friends...at a bar...I was 18...I wanted to be a wife to the first person who asked me and a mother. I never dated before...he was the first to ask. I thought a college man would be responsible. I thought many things about what I thought he must be like. I thought I knew him before I knew him and if I didn't I could change him. Ha! Ha!

We made three kids and 10 1/2 years of a miserable marriage together. My drinking, his gambling, and debt to the hilt didn't help. But what beautiful kids! All successful and two Christians, one I pray still for, yet a successful man. I wish I could turn back time but then I wouldn't have those three.

Now I am remarried to a wonderful Christian man of 18 very happy years together. We met through friends...at a bar...but because we were both there for a fundraiser for a mutual friend who had cancer. I wasn't drunk and neither was he. My first impression of him was his kind eyes and clean appearance.

He has three wonderful kids too. We share 12 grandkids. God hand-picked him for me because I promised God the "next one" was on him. I would date no one else unless God did the picking! He has more experience being a matchmaker after all.

I can tell you, marry a Christian man or woman in the truest sense of the word. Not just a churchgoer, not just one who knows scripture, not someone who has a good career, beautiful clothes, and great physical appearance to make you think he or she must be godly to have such things in order. No! Marry one who walks the talk. Marry one who is genuinely gracious, and kind and has the fruit of the Spirit, or at least some of it as we are all continuing to grow and mature if we are in Christ Jesus. Do they give God the glory, speak openly of him and about him?

I was so uncomfortable when I first met my second husband. He was unlike any I had ever met. It bugged me he was so kind, loving, and patient with me. That is why I made myself give him a chance. HE WAS DIFFERENT than anyone I had ever met before. I dated jerks unknowingly until too late. I had given up too much for them. A Christian will always be different than what the world can offer. See the difference. If you don't know what that should be, read the book of James.

Pray for your partner in faith, believing God will grant your request. I always imagined God was "working on that person" whom I was waiting for. Really, maybe he was working on me. It's in the "WORKS". Keep praying. Pray that God will make you into the man you must become so you can be ready to receive your gift of a wife.

(Romans 12:12)
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.

This might need to go in Tashmania's thread too.

HELLO I believe the lord wants you to know some things, first,,,,,go to him in deep prayer, start praying in the spirit, theres some things he wants to reveal to you, ask him what's your calling is, remember we are in the last revival. he has plans for you, you must learn how to tune into he's voice, my sheep know my voice, remember speaking in tongs is just the first gift, this gift builds up your faith, it pushes out drought and unbelief, then you can operate in other gifts, I believe this is what the holy spirit is saying to you, we are living in a great time right now, God bless you, Jesus is lord,
