Something being a shadow of snd setting up patterns is not the same thing as symbolizing.

Paul used the Torah in essentially every letter he wrote. The scriptures referred to throughout the epistles were all from the Tanakh.

To really understand the Torah it’s important to realize the jews came out of the greater Mesopotamian tribes and you see that reflected in their writings.

Early Christians would go to synagogues to hear the word of God.
That is not quite correct either. Christians were meeting apart from the synagogues from beginning. See Acts 2.
