Explain to me please why believing is a work before regeneration but is not a work after regeneration?
It is a work of righteousness after regeneration, one of the works ordained that the regenerated should walk in Eph 2:10

10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Its a work done after salvation, whereas the proud make it a work they do b4 salvation to gain salvation

Wasn't even talking to you so no idea why you think I'm on your back.

... and just to add to the confusion ... broken English that is hard to understand and has nothing to do with the topic.

But it is still you doing it so it is still your work.

Your explanation doesn't explain anything. God calls us to believe before we are regenerated so how does it make it right after but not before?

I have been told that regeneration is not salvation so if you agree with that then, as far as I can see, you are still doing a work before salvation.

Very confusing.

Anything that someone must to do to become saved makes that their work alone to accomplish - something required by/of themselves in order to become saved. But this would mean that Christ's offering and sacrifice as the Savior, were insufficient to grant salvation unto those for whom it was intended, requiring actions above Christ's to complete/complement what is lacking. This is contrary to the Father's claim about Christ - that Christ was perfectly and completely sufficient in all ways for salvation and any attempt to add to it, a direct insult to God the Father, in effect, calling Him a liar. Alternatively, and opposed to that, is that belief is freely given to those who become saved by Christ, but as a gift from salvation, not the cause of salvation. This means that salvation is not dependent upon anyone's belief - nor upon anything that someone may try to do to obtain it - but instead, that all things pertaining to salvation are given as the attributes of salvation, making salvation truly and solely a free gift from God's grace alone, through Jesus Christ, the Savior.
Hope this makes sense.

Roger knows what he is talking about and you dont.
that I do not agree with both you and rogerg removing Romans 9:12 from Scripture in order to support your erroneous dogma does not mean I "dont" know what rogerg is talking about.

Romans 9:9-12

9 For this is the word of promise, At this time will I come, and Sara shall have a son.

10 And not only this; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Isaac;

11 (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth; )

12 It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.

That both you and rogerg have no problem removing the verse from Scripture indicates that both you and rogerg do not know what God is talking about.

God is the Author of Scripture and He purposely restated "the elder shall serve the younger" in Romans for a reason ... and that reason is not (as claimed by you and rogerg) that He hated Esau before he was born.

What is clear is that you believe God hates people before they are born
He does

if what you allege is true, then you and rogerg need to provide Scripture other than Romans 9 to support your assertion because Romans 9:12 does not support your claim.

In the meantime, just believe what God wrote in John 3:16 without corrupting the verse with your unbiblical rendering of what is written in Romans 9:

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Wait—seriously? You still don’t understand? How is that even possible? Truly amazing!
Actually, what is “amazing!” is your belief that when someone disagrees with you it's because they "still don't understand" … when they did understand the first time you spouted your nonsense and still understand, notwithstanding your claim to the contrary.

And what is “Truly amazing!” is your removal of a verse from Scripture and then continued obstinate and rebellious rationalization that it's appropriate to ignore the verse because God really meant what you claim (as if God did not know what He wanted written, when He wanted it written, where He wanted it written, how He wanted it written). Your chutzpah is astounding.

I'm going to inform you of something that you should have come to realize a long time ago - that you need to primarily focus on the completed "what" of doctrine, not (only) the "when": God's word was not constrained by time - it was revealed in its fullness at His good pleasure and purpose at the points of His choosing- not according to the demands of your timetable, and with every bit needing to be taken into consideration.
Then why do you not take into consideration the fact that God restated in Romans 9:12 what He said in Genesis 25:23?

God didn't leave out the fact that what He said before the children were born was "The elder shall serve the younger". That was what He said before they were born and that is what He said in Romans 9:12 ... after they had long been dead.

Since you claim that in reading Scripture we need to understand it "with every bit needing to be taken into consideration", quit peddling your lie that God said He hated Esau before Esau was born ... because that is not what God said.

It was the exact same Holy Spirit that moved the writer of Genesis as move the writer of Malachi as moved the writer of Romans, and He moved them not in vain nor without purpose (you do believe the writers of Scripture, one and all, were moved by the Holy Spirit, don't you?)
yes … and it's a quite clear you do not believe what you claim.

So, in effect, what you are saying is that everything in Romans 9 besides that which was explicitly stated in Genesis, is without purpose and to be ignored.
nope … I believe what is written in Romans 9 ... you and brightfame52 are the ones who rip Romans 9:12 from Scripture in order to align Scripture with your erroneous dogma (in effect, you are the one who treats Romans 9:12 as "without purpose and to be ignored"). You are to align your dogma to Scripture and where you are in error, let go of the error.

On its face alone, an absolutely absurd and ridiculous position to take!
agree that you and brightfame52 have taken "an absolutely absurd and ridiculous position"!

Well, at least you've managed to clearly demonstrate to everyone that you do not grasp the way in which Scripture was written by God - that you are unaware it is actually one completely integrated book, which goes a long way in explaining why your interpretations of it are always so wrong.
Oh, I believe it is quite clear it is you and brightfame52 who have "managed to clearly demonstrate to everyone that you do not grasp the way in which Scripture was written by God - that you are unaware it is actually one completely integrated book, which goes a long way in explaining why your interpretations of it are always so wrong".
