Little Johnny was watching his mother putting on face cream. "What are you doing?" he asked. "I'm making myself beautiful," she replied. He watched intently until she washed the cream off her face. He asked her, "are you giving up?"
Reminds me of the "bad boys" yapping and acting all tough.

I locked Mom out of the car.
She got out to open my door and I locked all the doors. I pushed down the lock when she went to use her key.
She had a spare key and got a sitter aka teacher to help.
I was into homeschooling waaay back then too.
