About the chat rooms: it seems the software was not kept updated and the rooms themselves
eventually just did not function any more, as many came to the forums asking how to make them
work, or how to download the software, which had been removed from the play store. Work-arounds
were found and suggested for a while, but even they eventually stopped working...

This is a forum. We had a live chat but it has been down for a while. There was a recent comment that a new chat room is being worked on. No time frame as to when it will be available.
The site owner hasn’t been able to find the time since 2018 to update the chat app, or the money from getting donations every month to be able to fund an update. Things come up once in a while, be patient. Maybe by the end of JD Vance’s second term as president it’ll be up again.
Actually, according to a post recently made by OnceFallen, Robo is currently working on a new chat room. That's all the info given, but more than has been said for years.
Hopefully, it won't be up again by the end of Kamala Harris's second term.

Actually I have gone out looking for a good Christian chat. Not for me, but so I could have something to offer all the people who keep coming through here looking for a chat room.
It's not good out there. The only ones I could find have no moderators and a lot of trolls running rampant.

Interesting how after being called out on this, a CC message mail appears in our inboxes saying the new app needs founders. Lol.
Sometimes you just gotta turn the heat up.
Of course it’s being called FUNDING fathers, as if monthly funds from the last EIGHT years haven’t been given to a thing called Christian CHAT which happens to tell people (some who give already) that there is a chat room.
Well this IS basically private property. The owner has the moral high ground. He can legally and morally run it any way he wants to, and people who hang out here can choose to hang out here or go somewhere else.
I've been here since 2014 and never paid so much as a penny. I'm a poor man. But if this forum suddenly changed to pay-only... Or if I suddenly got banned for no reason at all... Or if the whole forum shut down tomorrow... I would be glad for all the conversations I have had here and I would move on to something else.
"It is better to light a candle than to curse the darkness." Have you ever thought about hosting a chat server for Christians? I'd hang out and do my dead level best to keep conversations going until it gets a solid user base.
It is in the process of being implemented but who knows when it will actually start.
How did you wrangle the perk of choosing your "rank"?
Since I thought that was for paying members only.
Perhaps it is because, although you could hold your own in the BDF, you despise the notion and prefer a rocking chair on a porch?
