Peter did apply that to ALL... of Christ's Church, made up of BOTH believing Israelites and believing Gentiles. But originally, that in bold above he quoted was written only to the children of Israel in the OT.

I think one can safely say they did without saying evil since the apostles could say the same without being evil in saying so.

They being Abraham's seed after the flesh

John 8:37 I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you.

Agar answers to Jerusalem,

Gal 4:25 For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children.

Gal 4:28 Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise.

In contrast to

Gal 4:29 But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.

It was Abraham that God accounted righteousness to in the Promise by Faith which God offered him, not Isaac (see Gal.3 also). So let's not talk about who can or cannot understand plainly written words in The Bible. But through Isaac's seed the inheritance would continue.

You mock our Heavenly Father when you say the family that Christ Jesus would be born through were not 'chosen'.

You need to go back and read what I wrote and UNERTSTAND it before you comment. I know who the promise was given to, it was given to Abraham and the SEED was called in Isaac. Isaac was not called because he was a FLESH descendant of Abraham, he was called because Isaac was a child of the PROMISE! Paul was a child of promise, Peter was a child of promise, I am a child of promise.. none of us were chosen because of our earthly heritage.

here is my understanding and what I have learned about the children of promise from my time of seeking God and going into a closed solitude to be with him.
There is a reason that the cross of all the symbols was used for Jesus to die on. Think of the cross in this there are four ends the top end represents heaven or God's kingdom the bottom represents earth the world mankind the right is Jews the left the gentiles
And Jesus pinned and dying on it connected and brought all of it together. Fathers intentions was never for just the Jews to be his children to be the children of promise, regardless of race regardless of bloodline regardless of past sins of weaknesses the children of promise has always been and always will be anyone who accepts his loving embrace anyone who seeks after and hungers and adores his heart anyone whose heart constantly chases after his own anyone who desires and craves a deeper love and stronger bond closer connection with him.

These are the children of promise those who love and adore and treasure him with all their hearts who desire to know him to dive deeper into the realm of his heart with every fiber of their being every cell within their body.

not so...God choose Abraham and said that through him all the nations of the earth would be blessed. There is only one race that is referred to as God's chosen people..ONE physical race...through which ALL the nations of the earth would be blessed

In Genesis 12, God promised Abraham that he would be the father of a great nation (the Jews), the Jews would possess a land, that nation would be blessed above all other nations, and all other nations would be blessed from Israel. So, from the beginning God revealed that Israel would be His chosen people on the earth, but that His blessing would not be limited to them exclusively. Galatians 3:14 identifies the nature of the blessing to come to all the other nations: “That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.” All the nations of the world were blessed by Israel, through whom the Savior of the world came.

The above scripture plainly shows that the blessings we enjoy through our savation, come through Abraham whose faith was accounted to him as righteousness

You know, the entire Bible must be considered when one ventures out to teach what they consider a major doctrine...such as who is and who is not considered a child of God

I'm just one of those people that believes the bible when it says the children of the flesh are not the children of God... I don't understand why you don't believe that. The children of the flesh have never been and never will be God's chosen people.

Yes I understand that salvation is of the Jews.... the question is which Jews? The Jews that killed Christ or the real Jew, the one that's a Jew inwardly?

Our sin was paid for by Jesus sacrifice. Noone killed Him, He laid down His life willingly for us.

Jesus acknowledges them as the seed of Abraham

Paul also says,

Romans 9:7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.

Then he divides the children of the flesh (who are Abrahams seed, after the flesh) and the children of the promise (who belong to one, to Abrahams seed, which is Christ) children of the promise (Spirit)

Romans 9:8 That is,

They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.

Gal 3:16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.

Gal 3:29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

The promise (the Spirit)

Luke 24:49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you

Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his (Romans 8:9)

Same picture emmerges as then even so now as Paul said.

Gal 4:29 But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.

Born after the flesh (Abrahams seed) after the flesh, and children of the promise (as belonging to Christ) Abrahams seed (as of one) not many in that way.

Replacement Theology has been done to death here. Its a false teaching. The Catholic church,among others,have repented of teaching it. The church has not replaced Israel. Romans 11 proves this,but of course proponents of this false teaching will twist Scripture every which way possible to be right. They want Israel to have all the curses and the church by way of Christians to have all the blessing. Replacement Theology teaching is old as dirt and as I said,been repented of by many churches years and years ago.Then somebody digs it up again,renames it and dresses it up as a new idea. Its not,its false,end of story.

When you become so close to father that you begin to understand his way of thinking begin to see as he does begin to even feel what he feels then it doesn't matter what any interpretation or view or belief or doctrine says your heart instinctively knows your heart resonates with his own.

Even I have seen the dangers of favoritism especially if a parent does this how much more do you think father knows? when made us forming us in the womb he took such care in making us even from every single hair on our head the warmth and love he had and felt as he made us when he thought of us is something that I have felt many times and yet my heart my soul my body cannot contain even a drop of it.
