What if God called me to be single? I know it's not....but if God was calling me to be single for the rest of my life, having people say that is just going to add confusion.

I'll take it one step further. Let's say your issue is that you need Christian fellowship. Rather than spend time with you and be the solution, they shift it over onto God by saying, "I'll pray for you" and then running along.
I 'liked' this, but what I really mean is that I resonate with how much that stinks.
People who are playing with their phones, texting, or balancing their checkbook during the sermon. I try to assume people with phones are taking notes during sermon but ...

When it's supposed to be the end of service since my pastor says "I'm about to let you go" a good 5 times before he actually does hahaha.
I always hated that term, I am about to let you go. or We are getting short on time
To me it always made it seem like I am in middle school waiting for the bell to ring:
so I can finally have some fun.
Or that we have to schedule God, in a one hour segment.

The grab hug you get when you've been for a while, usually accompanied by "we missed you." It'd be one thing if it were a simple hug and saying that you missed the person, andy maybe I'm over sensative, but the way they go about it is like
"WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN STINKING FINALLY DON'T LEAVE AGAIN YOU HEAR ME"

My pet peeve: Christians who "encourage" you with cliches or just the famous scripture verses with no genuine concern or attempt at actually encouragement. Good thing I know how to encourage myself...

Christians who habitually say that God told them... such and such. I believe God can and does speak with us, but when Christians base logic around feelings rather than their feelings around logic in regards to what God says to them I loose it.

Sure, if you're 100% sure that He did, I'm fine with that. For example, there was this guy at Bible college. He told me that the Lord told him to tell me that I'd meet a man in about a year with blonde hair, a little over my height, with blue eyes. I looked at this guy and said, "That's not from the Lord. Next time, make sure you hear from God before saying, 'The Lord told me this'." I knew this because of multiple factors, 1) God has been specific never to tell me about my future concerning the man I'm going to marry because He wants to take me by surprise, 2) The guy talked about it when his fiance had told him that I'm single, and he thought an encouraging word would help, 3) Something about it just didn't sit well in my spirit, and 4) The guy was SPECIFIC with dates and months
A year goes by and sure enough, never met someone with that description and didn't date anyone

It doesn't bother me that people ask that. It bothers me that the world is so intolerant of a seemingly good-nature offer that people feel they must ask permission to pray, lest they step on another person's toes.
