I haven't been to church in a while, and thats because in between churches right now. I was going to a Baptist church, but I wanna switch to a bible church, fire and brimstone.... that kind of thing. Somewhere where the pastor actually utilizes the bible and allows the congregation the chance to double back on what he's saying. Comparing verses and chapters and books to show how things do fit and revealing the bible as truly inerant... for the most part.

So I could use a little prayer, asking God to put me where he wants me.

I was once burnt in church. Not the nicest feeling. :(

It's not their pain you're afraid of. It's yours, Charles. And as frightening as it can be, that pain will make you stronger. If you allow yourself to feel it, embrace it, it will make you more powerful than you ever imagined. It's the greatest gift we have: to bear their pain without breaking. And it comes from the most human part of us: hope.
 
I believe the Sheperd Jesus will lead you. I am getting married this Sunday. Spiritually I decided to be devoted somewhere, married as making a commitment.

No... I'm looking to be disturbed by God's message, and made to really think and look within. I want the truth, regardless of how difficult it is to hear it. And in order to do that, sometimes you just have to bite the nail.

I will pray for you that you find a good church that has an even mix of the whole word.

For the bible is full of the teachings of grace by faith in Jesus Christ, but also is full from Jesus to Revelation of warnings to believers if they do not continue to walk properly in the faith. Somewhere along the road those warnings have been pushed aside and completely out of the churches to follow the doctrines of two men; Augustine and Calvin.

I have notice by talking to a number of people on here from different denominations that their doctrines have been derived from one of these two individuals who can easily be traced back to given contradictions to the word in their teachings.

Just start visiting churches. Go to one Sunday morning, another Sunday night. Yet another midweek. You don't know what's in a church until you go in the church. The sign on the door really means very little. It's the sign on the hearts of the congregation that matters. By taking a period to investigate your choices, You'll be more sure that the choice you make is the right one.

Father God, may an angel lead this one in his search for You. Amen.
 
Lord you know the best, please give your understanding and lead to a good church which you things better for ihsomiet. Remove things which may lead ihsomiet in wrong ways. Yes Lord bless Ihsomiet in this matter. In Jesus Holy name, Amen!
 
Maybe a local study group would be something worth looking into(?). Praying for guidance for you on this, Ihsomiet!
