I can not because I have not attended ALL churches.
In my 80 years I have attended many churches from coast to coast.
Many did a good job (in my opinion) of teaching Scripture correctly and how to use that teaching in our everyday life.
Some did not.
My point is to never base a conclusion on all churches based on just a few.
Each is different. Pray about it and keep looking until you find one that provides what you need.

Now imagine if churches taught the above instead of the typical sermons..

People --All Religions are man made -----and the Ministers of the Church have Bosses over them -----they do not have free reign to teach as they like ----most ministers have a lectionary to get their sermons from and Most ministers take the Scripture from the Lectionary as it is easier than relying on the Holy Spirit to direct them on what they should be preaching on if they even have the Holy Spirit in them in the first place ---they don't have to think about what scripture to preach on it is already there for therm to make up their Sermon -----Pick a scripture to suit yourself

example --read all yourselves --just posted this ----

I attended a church where the Minister was told Flat by the hierarchy not to Preach on Money -----as they did not want to lose people in the pews ----and bringing up money will scare people ----

Here is a good one ---for Nov you can preach on ----

Revelation 21:1-6a ----well here it is ---soft preaching ---oh great ---we will get to live in the New Earth ---jesus will dwell with us -----no hard preaching to scar the people off so we get our money which we don't want preached about to keep the Church building open and help the poor ---

Make sure you leave out verse 8 -----which describes the Second death -----for the unbelieving --who rejected Jesus as they went through the 7 Year Tribulation -----don't Preach that ------

7 Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children.

8 But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”

The New Jerusalem, the Bride of the Lamb

A New Heaven and a New Earth
21 Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,”[a] for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’[b] or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

5 He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”

6 He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life.

I say
Hard preaching is very much needed today in Churches and Teaching NOT PREACHING on how True Christians can live a happy ---joyest ----healthy ---stress free burdened life is very much needed in today's wicked world ---- I totally agree with jacko on this -----

The Scripture is full of how to Avoid ----stress ----anxiety ----fear ---doubt ----false hope ----false prophets ----depression ----etc ---etc ----and this should be taught in all Churches today and it is NOT --

very sad ----Religions sugar coat scripture to keep their people happy and in the pews ----preaching has become ----People pleasing not God pleasing ------

I'm doing all of the legwork on my own. I wish there was an easier way, but sadly unless you are blessed to have a mentor, this journey is a long lonely one. THANK YOU Lord Jesus for the internet and ChatGPT for the wealth of information at my fingertips.

I am now 61 years old & cannot remember anyone that did me any good to call them a mentor.
My mentor is Jesus, the Head of the church.
Pray, ask for wisdom, knowledge, & understanding to make YOU a mentor to others around you.
Ask God for everything He has for you without allowing traditional teachings to persuade you away from them.
The Holy Spirit will keep you busy if you let Him totally in. :)
John 14:26
New American Standard Bible
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and remind you of all that I said to you.

1 John 2 26These things I have written to you concerning those who are trying to deceive you. 27And as for you, the anointing which you received from Him remains in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you remain in Him.

You will learn much this way.

I think this is true. At least in my own life. It took a long time for me to understand and learn how a Christian is suppose to grow in Christ and become more like Him, being more obedient, and sinning less as you grow in Him. I actually learned from praying and begging God to help me because I never heard how in any of the churches I've been in. What I wanted is to hear the testimonies of people - leaders and congregants alike - of how they were able to overcome any habituals sins, how they grew to reflect Jesus, etc. - but I would only get testimonies of how they got saved at the beginning, never their journey to maturity after that.

🍨
I spent 30 years backsliding and caught up in sexual sins left over from childhood molestation. God delivered me this year. And it was from a lot of crying out.

I think you should listen to Derek Prince. This is the man who teaches keys to applying spiritual warfare into your life, how to do it. How to advance.

Jesus isn't coming back looking for babes in Christ. He wants find mature Christians who walk in it, who walk with Him. Who apply it to their lives and those around them.

When we draw close to God, He draws close to us. I remember one pastor's testimony that He tried healing people on the basis of, these signs will follow those who believe...So he started.

He had over 500 times of trying to heal people on the street, and no one got healed! He was so discouraged! But scripture says these signs will follow those who believe, so he wouldn't quit trying. He believed the word of God so kept trying. And one day, he was trying again just to be obedient mostly and was going through the routine and suddenly...the man got healed and the Holy Spirit fell on both of them! After that, his healing ministry just rocketed with success.

Another guy I remember, forget who, sid he prayed to God and asked for something, forget what exactly, but the Lord answered him and said, I will do this thing for you! And the Pastor was elated and thank you Lord!

It was 28 years later that it manifested. 28 Years.

Whoa, talk about enduring!

So you just created a zombie thread....

An old and dead thread back to life....

I wonder if the OP found the morality preacher he was looking for.

Or if he ran into a preacher that could explain the many stories the Bible contains.

Why do Churches do such a poor job of integrating theology into real life. Everday living.
This is a very broad question which will have many different explanations.

However, there is a general reason that applies to all the large congregations with a board of directors and FreeMasons on the board of directors.

1. They don't tell the Pastors what to teach, rather they tell them what not to teach.

A. Don't teach about Hell. The emphasis is on increase and don't teach anything that would scare people away.

B. Teaching about sin is inadequate. You can teach once saved always saved, but that is about it.

C. Don't teach about the Antichrist. Don't teach about prophecy and don't teach about the end times. There have been many false teachers who have taught erroneously and led people astray using these topics. Ironically the Lord warned us and prophesied that this would be the case. Their thought is lets bury our heads in the sand and just hope that when the Lord does return we'll all just be taken and never have to deal with 25% of the Bible.

This is the what and also explains why many Pastors don't touch these topics. If you aren't talking about prophecy and the end times then you are not tying current events to the prophecies. As a result Christians are ignorant and will sleep through all the events that should have woken them up. Jesus said "as you see the day approaching look up because your redemption draws nigh". Well they don't see the day approaching because the church they attend censors any discussion that the day is approaching. If you are ignorant about the Antichrist you won't spot him when he does show up and as a result you are more likely to be deceived by him.

However, instead of blaming the pastors or the board of directors, I blame the congregation. Why after 20 years do you still come to the meeting each week expecting the Pastor to feed you? Why can't you read the Bible yourself, study yourself, join bible studies, go online and seek out the videos and other materials that will help? The pastors burden is with increase, whether that is right or wrong I'll leave that to the Lord. I have been saved, I have been in the Lord for many years, I am not interested in remaining in elementary school. There are plenty of very good resources and Bible studies to go to. This is why I started my blog on the rapture. I wanted to study it. I made it public in case anyone else wanted to study it. There are now 670,000 different people visiting that blog, so yes, there are plenty of other believers interested in studying this.

Sokay....

Lots of people have a difficult time finding a church to call "home".

It's always a struggle when you move into a new neighborhood.

I had a tough time when I moved here. It took a good 9 months for us to find one. We love it and the people now....

But it took us some time to find it. And I'm somewhat of a practiced hand at finding one. (I used to be itinerant)

But it is difficult for many.
Many give up in the process because what most people want is a traditional church. Small group and then big church service. (Or vice versa)

And so many today simply don't do such programs due to not being able to find enough teachers for the children. Or that "it's too much work"

Ugggghhhh.....
I know I don't want to sit for 2 hours to listen to the pastor preach after watching a hack job of a music show.

I want to get to know people....make friends....invest in people's lives.

We men are dragon slayers, we need a mission, slowly we are getting back to the 1st century church, home churches where Holy Spirit is called and kids aren't shuffled off to hear an unimspired lesson but to see parents talk to and hear from the Father.
The social aspect is what women need but it us.
Finding and walking in the authority Jesus brought us, finally, will be pleasing to Him.
blessings:)

If he made his own thread with the same subject, what difference would it make?

It sounds like you may need to find a better fit for you for church life. I urge you to pray before ever changing churches but their are so many churches that walk with christians everyday. The church I attend, we serve along side each other and walk with the Lord together daily. The church offers so many serving oppotunities, missionary work in our own backyard or out of country, and many connect groups to stay together ..

Why do Churches do such a poor job of integrating theology into real life. Everday living.
In theory, you don't have a black belt in BJJ train with a white belt... there are levels to the game so they say. Same should apply to faith. A new born in Christ needs to be nurtured and taught differently that a PHD a theology from Biola, they need their own time slot a distinct message at Church.

Most churches have morning service and a late service. Maybe it should be broken up differently. Beginner, intermediate, advance.
Maybe new ideas need to be tossed around.
Maybe discipleship? Spending time with new/young believers outside the church, and letting them see your "walk" instead of just your "talk" would greatly integrate theology into real life. I've only attended two churches, since I was saved, but as a young Christian, I found this sorely lacking. My second pastor would lambast people from the pulpit about their sin, admonish people to "do right" ; even calling out people by name scolding them before everyone. But on one of the few occasions I was with him he got irate with a black store employee and was ranting the "n-word". And when I tried to get him to be quiet by saying "that man will hear you" the pastor growled "I don't care!". I certainly wouldn't call that "integrating theology into real life". Another example could be; telling men to "lead" their homes without giving any real life examples (or discipleship) of how to do that. I've heard that alot too.

Unfortunately, I've learned that even Church is a business. The message is carefully narrated, it can't be too radical as to turn off people. Basically it's a shotgun approach. In a nutshell, if you want to grow in faith, you are on your own but fortunately in this era of tech I use AI to exegete the scripture for a deep dive into issues that I care about or need to hear.
Now what that doesn't give me is the fellowship from talking to others. I did join a 11 week Bible Study group and had fellowship with some church members and it was fantastic.

I think it is better to practice what we preach because it is better experiences we can use to teach others.
