Coincidence or Testimony?

I've been with my wife for over three years now and we got married a few months back. As non believers we didn't wait until marriage.

My wife always wanted a child but due to some medical issues it was considered highly unlikely. This wasn't a professional opinion it's just what we assumed because for almost two years we were unsuccessful.

My wife is now pregnant, and when we time the conception, we know for a FACT it was when we consummated the marriage.

So all that time we weren't successful in concieving a child, it happens immediately after we get married :).

Intervention or Coincidence, its still a great story!
 
The key to discerning coincidence from miracle is, does it bring glory to Christ/God?

Of course, a lot of that depends on you.
 
I don't believe in accidents or coincidences, but either way children are a blessing from God

How do you mean by this though Blain? You don't believe that accidents happen? That there is always a reason FOR the accident happening?

That's what highway patrol will tell you when it comes to car crashes anyway. "Theres no such thing as a road accident" they will say. Rather there is ALWAYS someone or something to blame for it.

Therefore is it logical to say that accidents don't exist? Never have done and never will?

What about mistakes? Do mistakes exist? Is it fair to say that during my Math Exam back at school all them years ago that I made a few mistakes? Were they mistakes? Or just bad choices?

I've heard it said before "There's no such thing as mistakes, only choices, good choices and bad choices". But if you choose one thing and later find out that to be the wrong choice, doesn't that make it a mistake on your behalf?

What are sins if they are not accidents or mistakes? They are just choices.

And how do you mean by you don't believe in coincidences?

Do you mean when it comes to God?

Because with God, there certainly are no accidents and there's definitely no coincidences or "co inky denks" as I like to call em'. :)

But is that what you mean Blain? lol

And yes children are a blessing, where there is children there is life.

Oh no. I've certainly done nothing to deserve any thanks or reward from any greater power.

Just in light of everything else that's going on my life recently I wonder if I'm maybe being given a nudge in the right direction.
 
My advice is to get all of the sleep that you can possibly get before the baby is born. It is interesting story you have told.

Everything happens for a reason there is nothing that is not in God's control he allows things to happen and he also doesn't allow things to happen
