Hey Everyone,

We do these types of threads now and then, and we are long overdue for one that includes current members. As the title implies, it's time for an infamous CC Roll Call! But, we like to give it a little twist. :D

Come join the fun!!

Let us know not only that you're here, but also help us to know a little something about you as well!

1. NAME YOU'D LIKE TO BE CALLED: Seoulsearch/Seoul

2. COMFY OUTFIT OF CHOICE: Good old fashioned sweats with breathing room (DEATH TO YOGA PANTS!!!); T-shirts from favorite cartoons/movies (current favorites in rotation until they wear out: Transformers, How to Train Your Dragon, Super Mario Bros., Jurassic Park.)

3. PURPOSE FOR BEING ON THE FORUM: Why the 3 M's, of course! Mystery, Mischief, and Mayhem.:cool::cool:

4. PRONOUNS * -- Disclaimer!!! This is a JOKE/parody of how crazy our modern culture has become. I was in a chat where a bewildered teenage boy was saying his school had required him to give his pronouns on a form for the first time, and the rest of the room was suggesting hilarious answers like, "Kiss/My" and "Nice/Try.":ROFL::ROFL: and it made me laugh out loud!!

So for this category, feel free to think of something funny that you would put in response to "What Are Your Pronouns?" And if you'd rather not answer, feel free to skip this!

As for me? My PRONOUNS would be: "Go/Away" and "YouGotta/BeKidding."

5. MOST FAVORITE MEAL OF CHOICE: If you could choose any delicacy at any price from anywhere around the world, what would it be? Feel free to include dessert!!

A long time ago, I had a fantastic steak dinner at the Cheesecake Factory, which was unusual for me. I rarely eat out and usually never order steak, but for some reason, that big slab o' beef, garlic mashed potatoes (with the skins included! I like my taters rustic!) and a side of tempura green beans were ultimately divine. It was one of the very rare times where I would have had seconds on a green vegetable if given the chance!

And for dessert... I wish they had a cheesecake sampler platter, but alas, I had to pick just one kind (I think maybe it was Black Tie?) and settle for trying just a bite of everyone else's. :( (I would have liked more than just sample bites.) ;)

How about all of you?

This should hopefully be sweet and simple, but feel free to add/subtract any questions/fun facts about yourself that you wish! :p

CC Roll Call Is Now In Session!!

P.S. If @Talljake answers and his "Comfy Outfit" doesn't include some kind of flannel, I am seriously going to have to go back to the drawing board of what I think I know about people here! o_O

1. NAME: Call me Cinder.
2. COMFY OUTFIT: All my outfits are comfy. If it's not comfy I don't wear it.
3. PURPOSE: They tell me I've gotta have some sort of social life. And there are few single guys (especially over 30) in churches.
4. PRONOUNS: I recognize the following personal pronouns as part of the english language I, you, we, he, she, it, they, me, us, him, her, them (it could get more complicated but we'll stop there). When you talk to me you can refer to me with the pronoun you, I will refer to me with the pronoun me. Don't you refer to me as me or it will get confusing for me and you.
5. MEAL: I just wanna taste some delicious Pho Cuon again (like little asian noodle tacos or noodle spring rolls) probably at the place where we could get them with banana flower salad and stir fried mushrooms.

I like this Seoul 😋.

1) most people call me Jake, I like Jacob a bit better. I changed my email so I had to change my username here. But either is fine.

2) I do love me a good flannel as a PJ shirt but........ I'm warm blooded so when I sleep like my t-shirt and PJ pants. Cartoons are a bonus. Ninja turtles and Spiderman were my fav but Spiderman got over rated. I'm a Looney toons man as well

3)fellowship, chatting with new friends, being a goof lol

4) work/hard, cowa/bunga

5)steak, mash potatoes, corn, garlic bread
Grams pies (whoopie pies included) lol

Question - is flannel and khaki pants with dress shoes considered dressed up? Lol @seoulsearch

1) Sub is fine.

2) At home I have these thin cotton pants with a tie front. Those and a tshirt. Usually black, blank. Often a hoodie as well.
When out usually green or gold carpenter pants. Band tshirts. A chain wallet with a long dragon claw chain and a leather zombie wallet. Vans. And my hat, forget what they're called, but not a dad hat or baseball style. More old style.

3) Metalhead/(you fill in the rest)

4) Pizza. Maybe steak. Or grilled chicken sandwiches.
No food stories, but I was once at a Denny's, they'd brought my ice water and taken my order. While sitting there, not even touching the glass, it suddenly shattered. I've never had thar happen before, or since. Even the waitress was shocked when I told her what happened.
Or I remember my mom taking me to Arby's once when I was around 10. It was evening and thus pretty full. A shirtless drunk guy came in and started demanding a hamburger. Getting belligerent. Cops were obviously called. When he was being escorted out people began applauding. I'd never been in a situation like that, so when the people began applauding it just cracked me up, as a 10 year old. There I was clapping and laughing my head off.

2. COMFY OUTFIT OF CHOICE: Don't care. I don't pay much attention to clothes as long as I'm wearing something. (Gotta be zero-drop shoes though. I will not go back to aching ankles ever again if I can help it.)

3. PURPOSE FOR BEING ON THE FORUM: Seeing what different people have to say about different subjects. I find it fascinating.

4. PRONOUNS: Purr/Snore

5. MOST FAVORITE MEAL OF CHOICE: Fish sampler platter - smoked halibut, grilled trout, fried flounder, all the fish I would love to try but can't find out here in west Tennessee. I swear, this place is a gastronomic wasteland...

LOL!!!

You guys are seriously knocking it out of the park with the "pronouns"! :D I'm foreseeing that in the future, I'll have to make another "Pronoun Updates" thread, since the pronouns you all have been choosing for yourself are just so funny (not to mention, fitting!)

After all, if all those people on TikTok can change their pronouns every day, so can we!

Ninja turtles and Spiderman were my fav but Spiderman got over rated. I'm a Looney toons man as well. (Pronouns:) 4) work/hard, cowa/bunga[/USER]
The "Cowabunga" was a nice touch, lol.

Oh yeah, that's what we were waiting for. :devilish:

I had a friend in college whose favorite dress outfit consisted of these very things (flannel shirt with khakis, nice shoes,) so yes, I would say this definitely counts as formal attire!

Uh oh, I think we've found our first diva among the bunch.

I mean, everyone else is like, "Call me by (something that's an actual word or name,)" but Rodney comes along and says, "No, YOU can call ME RODB651, thank you very much!"

Listen here, Mr. B651... How do you expect me to remember all those fancy nancy numbers at the end of your name?! o_O

Sheesh, talk about complicated.

I really AM going to have to resort to calling you by pronouns -- it just might be easier! :sneaky::eek::ROFL::cool::D

You know, it's really funny. I always say I'm an introvert who can masquerade as an extrovert.

Now I'm curious. @Lynx @cinder @RodB651, do I come across as outgoing in real life? Of course, I knew y'all before I met you so that's kind of cheating and doesn't really give an accurate representation.

It really depends on my mood/energy levels and I've been writing letters since the time I could hand-write, so I'm very used to communicating in this type of writing-only style. I've met a lot of people who can talk up a storm in real life but go blank in front of a keyboard, and some who re the exact opposite. I think I'm somewhere in between, but maybe not as boisterous in real life. Unless I can get Cinder laughing so hard that she pretty much stops breathing, which is definitely worth the effort.

Back when I was growing up, they only played cartoons after school and on Saturday mornings from 8 AM to noon. I loved Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends, The X-men, Dungeons and Dragons (it had nothing to do with the game -- I was very attached to the characters, as they were all kids like us at the time,) GI Joe, a plethora of others that were cancelled after only one season, and, my beloved Transformers.

Although I love Optimus, my favorite is actually a Decepticon named SoundWave (not to be confused with ShockWave):

He was a cassette player with a digitized voice who acted as their communications officer (right up my alley,) but what I loved most is that he had a whole host of cassette player "friends" (or pets as some saw them) that he carried in his chest compartment, and they were each their own separate characters/toys. About 4 years ago, a friend got me the modern version of SoundWave's toy and cassettes and I was thrilled! They're still in their boxes and I am never opening them. :)

I had a sibling who had some of the toys but I was never allowed to touch them -- I'm TERRIBLE at trying to transform them and might accidentally pop off a limb. :(

I often wear T-shirts of Soundwave and a guy in his 20's once stopped me and said, "I know that's a Transformer, but which one? I've never seen that one before." o_O

So yeah, I'm just a big overgrown kid. :) I saw in your post where you said you like Spider-Man and Looney Tunes -- excellent choices!

Most especially when it's Duck and Wabbit Season. :)

Maybe we'll have to have a follow-up thread in which we all talk about our favorite games, toys, and cartoons! :D

1) Name: Carrie is fine. Some people call me Pie, Cherry Pie, or Smashing and that's okay. Just don't call me Julia Child! :p

2) Outfit: I love sweaters. So in the cool months I prefer a sweater, skinny jeans, and flats. In the warmer months it's a tshirt, shorts, and flipflops.

3) Purpose: For the engaging, interesting, and fun threads, such as this one!

4) Pronouns: As a nod to another thread: real/Whangdoodle

5) Meal: If I'm going out to eat: chicken fried steak dinner. I'm taking my bestie out in the few days to our fave steakhouse to celebrate her birthday and the upcoming Galentine's Day. This is the meal we plan to order. It's the Okie in us!
If I'm doing the cooking: stromboli from scratch.
For dessert: Pie, of course! I like various pies, but homemade coconut meringue tops the list
I also really like tiramisu.

You have a really good selection going lol. There was nothing like waking up Saturday morning with a bowl of cereal and some good cartoons.

I can relate with being an introvert. I am really shy unless I'm around people I know. Growing up my brother was the talker, I was the quit one. I was very hyper as a kid but when I was around people I didn't know you wouldn't hear a peep from me lol. Now that I'm older I find myself more talkative.... Unless there is a women I like. I tend to clam up lol. Typing is easier but in person it's definitely different for me.

You seem like an opportunistic introvert. You'll take advantage of extrovert situations if they are available, feasible and if you still have the energy for them.

You enjoy them, but don't thrive on them. It takes so long for you to recharge after an extrovert situation that it can make friends worry about your health. Maybe your battery is shot and needs to be replaced. Or maybe you forgot and left your wifi and bluetooth on to drain your battery as fast as it recharges.
