I have no idea of mormans teaching.
What you are doing is called guilt by association.
If mormans say "God is in heaven"
Is God bad and not in heaven?

Satanists use the Holy Bible.
Is the bible bad?

Anyone can ascribe error wildly.
This thread proves it.
The Mormons, like all cults and papalists, teach that their church/belief is the only true one.

Once again, do you believe that God has ever revoked a gift?
For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable [for He does not withdraw what He has given, nor does He change His mind about those to whom He gives His grace or to whom He sends His call].
Romans 11:29

From the amplified version to help your understanding but says the same in all translations. So argue with God if you think otherwise

One other thing though, no one is somehow under your authority that they must answer any question you ask. YOU certainly do not answer questions for the most part and simply either deny what scripture states or you put a spin on it or you just ignore altogether

Okay, but consider that it is no sin to follow both Christ as Lord and Paul as the probable reason we are Christians.
Gag. Paul is somehow the probable reason we are Christians? According to his epistles to the Corinthians, Paul would be the first person to rebuke you.

Your belief regarding Paul, or your 'Pauline' adoration amounts to cultish behavior

The Mormons, like all cults and papalists, teach that their church/belief is the only true one.
You follow Paul, against Paul's instructions but see no problem there.

Conjecture???

The whole Pentecostal movement is based on conjecture.

They surmise that since some Christians in the 1st Century were speaking in tongues then their modern day babble must be the same thing. This is conjecture.

Show me your biblical verses that backup your claims that modern day tongues are akin to those mentioned in the Bible. Chapter and verse.

Remember no surmising, just scripture.

Ok again you keep attacking "pentecostels." We will keep posting Acts 1:8, which is the Lord Jesus speaking. We will keep posting 1cor chapter 12 through 14 unit chapters on the gifts of the Holy Spirit and Eph chapter 4:11.

We have asked where the word of God states these gifts are not for today or stopped. Show me in the word of God ?

You can't so in arrogance and pride you bring those you know about. Then ignorantly think all are the same because of your personal experience.

It seems to me that you not able to read the bible nor to read my post correctly.
Btw the book Joel you find in the OT.
You have not yet provided the Bible text to support your claims. From what little you have posted, you don't know the Old Testament working of the Holy Spirit.

Well, I have used the term to describe my beliefs since before 2005,
so I may be the oldest truthseeker you know.

I googled www.truthseeker.com in 2002 and found a publication called "Truth Seeker Company, Freethought Publishers Since 1873".
Nope. I'm obviously not going to post the link, but that was not the site. I believe you when you say you are not a friend of Mz Whites.

Apparently you are unaware that Paul and his assistants are responsible for writing most of the NT
and for establishing most apostolic churches. Thus, it seems probable that Jesus would have remained unknown
if God had not ordained Paul to preach to the Gentiles, including information that goes beyond the Gospel.

My comment had nothing to do with "guilt by association" and you know it.

I will spell this out for others.

Post # 819 is about the foolishness in thinking that proclaiming something makes what is proclaimed true.

Many things happened 2000 years ago. Proclaiming that they exist today is a baseless claim.

It is foolish for the Mormons to say it and it is foolish for Christians to say it.

To make it even clearer, Mormons proclaim that since 12 Apostles existed 2000 year ago then 12 Apostles should exist today.

Do not attempt to twist my words.

I guess not, since I do not know her, but all Christians are spiritual siblings.

I believe the word "perfect" in 1 Corinthians means "mature" or "complete"..... not "perfect" as we humans view perfection.
I don't think it is referring to 'human' ideals either. It does seem to indicate wholeness (perfection) in God and not the Bible as some believe and point to that as a reason to believe God is out of the spiritual gift giving business.

You are not a mind reader and certainly not my mind. Why would you think I don't know or am not familiar with the NT or those who wrote it or why they wrote it?

Your ignorance concerning others is not helping you. Ask questions and don't assume you know someone.

You might want to do a little research on her ;)
Wikipedia has this:

Her theology was Christ-centered, particularly since the 1888 Minneapolis General Conference.[2]

Her religious cosmology was dominated by a Great Controversy theme, as outlined in her book The Great Controversy, first published in 1858. It describes a cosmic battle between good and evil, between Jesus Christ and Satan, covering the fall of Satan and his angels, the fall of man, and the salvation of sinful man through the crucifixion of Jesus and righteousness by faith.

Her eschatology includes the Second Advent of Christ and the resurrection of the dead, when the righteous, together with the living saints, will ascend to Paradise and live for 1,000 years. After this, the old Earth will be cleansed by Hell fire and become the New Earth where they will live eternally in bliss with God and the angels.

She did not believe in "once-saved-always-saved", and it has been disputed by some whether she taught one could feel assurance of salvation.[citation needed] Jerry Moon argues that she did.[3] The SDA church holds Arminian theology, and hence does not teach a "once-saved-always-saved" philosophy.

Regarding the Trinity, although she did not write using theological terminology and did not use the word "Trinity",[4] she believed in one God existing in three coequal, coeternal, consubstantial divine persons:[5][6] God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ) and God the Holy Spirit. Her husband, who died in 1881, "stated categorically that her visions did not support the Trinitarian creed".[7] The "Ellen G. White Estate"[8] has examined her later writings on the topic[9] and found quotes they believe demonstrate she was a Trinitarian.[10][11][12]

Arthur Patrick believes that White was an "evangelical", in that she had high regard for the Bible, saw the cross as central, supported righteousness by faith, believed in Christian activism, and sought to restore New Testament Christianity.[13]

One study of Ellen White places both her and early Adventism within the context of the materialist theology of the times, seeing this to inform her Christology as well as other aspects of her teachings that are now outdated and do not correspond to contemporary Adventist views. By the same token, the study sees her as a precursor of monist covenantalism.[14]

Regarding ethics and character, White once wrote:

"The greatest want of the world is the want of men—men who will not be bought or sold, men who in their inmost souls are true and honest, men who do not fear to call sin by its right name, men whose conscience is as true to duty as the needle to the pole, men who will stand for the right though the heavens fall."[15]

It's ridiculous. The fact some here think only Pentecostals speak in tongues or believe the gifts are still in operation simply illustrates how closed in and cultish their circles are. Plus, no matter how many times a person tries to tell them otherwise, they just continue in their narrow little world with blinders on.

Okay, Why do you disparage my admiration and thankfulness for Paul when Paul and his assistants are responsible for writing

if God had not ordained Paul to preach to the Gentiles, including information that goes beyond the Gospel?

I don't like leaving things hanging so came back to end with this post

1. The scripture regarding Paul was not good enough for you where he gives the Corinthians what for regarding their arguments for who they were 'following'? Follow whoever you want but I will take Paul's advice and follow JESUS

Try this regarding White

Saying I follow Paul, I follow Apollos, I follow Peter, or even I follow Christ promotes factions. When Paul said imitate me as I imitate Christ he didn't mean start a faction in my name, he just meant imitate his good conduct; which clearly wouldn't include promoting factions.
