so are you, gnostic hunter, keep your self saved by works. this is big-time self-deception.
Rich hunting grounds around here...

You're deceiving yourself.
Truly, truly I say to you, the one who does not enter through the door into the fold of the sheep, but climbs up at some other place—that one is a thief and a robber. John 10:1
The enemy hates the talk of Christ's righteousness and what He has done for the believer in His finished work...it is the gospel of the grace of Christ.
The publican showed where the door is found - GOD have mercy on me a sinner. There is no other way. The one who exalts himself is trying to enter another way and will be humbled.
2 Peter 1:5 says that we are to add to our faith, excellence. This does not mean adding the knowledge of our excellence (which doesn't exist), but adding the understanding of the most excellent life that walks within the midst of our deadness.
You think Grace777 doesn't know God when others can plainly see so many graces and gifts of the Holy Spirit sprouting out of his ears.
From you, we see bitterness and anger and railing. That scares sheep and they run from it.
Is bearing false witness a godly fruit? He supports false-grace teachers who teach discarding some of Jesus' words and twist what the apostles wrote.
Good, the sheep need to, and will, run away from what he teaches.
"Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them." Rom 16:17
This is where false-grace teachers try to deceive IMO. Prince said to focus on one's own righteousness, but here you try to shift gears by talking about Christ's righteousness.
It's a subtle deception because we are not the righteousness of GOD. Christ alone is. He clothes us with his righteousness, but we are not that righteousness. False-grace teachers try to make it look like we are.
Isaiah 54:14-15 (KJV)
[SUP]14 [/SUP]In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee.
[SUP]15 [/SUP] Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake.
[SUP]17 [/SUP] No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.
It is by faith in Him that God says we are righteous. You can't then condemn us and call unrighteous what God has called righteous.
Obviously, I state it differently too. You saw that in my post. I know you think it is prideful of Grace777 to repeat what God has said about us. But anyone can see that there is fruit - gentleness, patience, blessing when cursed, kindness, love, joy. It's plain to see. So at some point you have to say, wait a minute, I really do see fruit here and not only that but I see it on a pretty darn consistent basis, so maybe I just THINK I know what is in this persons heart but am wrong because I can't see their heart...
This is par for the name-it-claim false-grace scam. The bible nowhere says that we are the righteousness of GOD in Christ. In fact, that is the exact opposite attitude we are to have. Christ alone is righteousness. The pharisee thanked GOD that he was righteous, but the one who was justified said:
And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as [his] eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified [rather] than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted. Luke 18:13-14>snip>
Are you sure that the bible says NOWHERE that we are the righteousness of God in Christ? But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference . . .Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. Rom. 3:21,22,24This is where false-grace teachers try to deceive IMO. Prince said to focus on one's own righteousness, but here you try to shift gears by talking about Christ's righteousness.

I have noticed a trend here. If a particular source comes out with a new version or way of expressing their theology, even if there is no scriptural support for it, it must be true.
To oppose this is now deemed as persecution, reviling and speaking evil.
You are now witnessing what they regard as perfection or the word of God in action, creating new insights into spiritual reality without regard to the Lord, His word or truth. It is they who now regard themselves superior over any issue they raise even if it is obviously wrong.
GOD treats us as if we are righteous and is making us righteous (in truth), but he nowhere says that we are righteous. Such an idea undermines the whole Christian faith.
I'm so ashamed of the Christians here who not speak out against this man's false witness that Matthew 6:9-15 is an old covenant prayer not meant for new covenant Christians. GOD will be judge.

Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be reconciled to God. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. (him who? Christ) 2 Cor. 5:21
But of him are you in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: 1 Cor. 1:30
Yea, doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, And be found in him, NOT HAVING MY OWN RIGHTEOUSNESS, which is of the law,but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: Phil. 3:9
He clothes us with his righteousness . . . went to bible gateway and keyed that in for search - hmmm - nothing came up? How bout that "breastplate of righteousness" we are told to put on? Can't put something on if you don't have it . . . .
