Hi everyone...I'm new here as you can probably tell.

I was brought up in a Christian family but didn't come to know the lord until a little less than a year ago.
Let me say before I found God I did a bunch of bad things. I have bipolar disorder and borderline personality disorder too so I have had a lot of depression and dark days. I used to cut myself, shoplift, do drugs...the whole 9 yards.

Now that I've found God a lot of things have gotten better but I'm still confused.

I've always considered myself bisexual because I am attracted to women as well as men. I listen to heavy metal, smoke cigarettes, have piercings and tattoos, and am not the "typical" Christian.

I've been struggling so bad lately, especially today. I have been with my boyfriend Brandon for 6 months and love him very much. He's not a Christian and while it makes me sad I can't force it on him because I remember what it was like when people tried to force me to believe in God.

The majority of my friends are really confused and shocked when I tell them I'm a Christian. I love God!!!!

I'm just scared because a lot of things confuse me...for instance today I stared thinking about how sex before marriage is wrong and I still have sex with my boyfriend. Today he texted me asking what was wrong and I told him that I was having some confusing thoughts with religion. So he pried and I told him I'm starting to believe sex is wrong...I still enjoy it and like doing it with him but I don't know what would happen if I just told him I can't have sex with him anymore.

I'm also ashamed of myself for finding girls attractive. I don't WANT to find them to be "sexy" but I do =/

I also love dark things...not in the evil sense but more in the "goth-y" sense. Like I wear dark makeup, dark clothing, and have tattoos of ghosts and skulls.

I'm just so confused...I know God loves me but I'm not sure what to do. Sorry if I'm rambling.

My friend, anyone who loves God obeys Jesus. All the things you mentioned do not testify of your salvation, but of your need for deliverance. These things will land you in hell. It is because of his love that he died, so that his love might draw you to STOP sinning. My friend you are not a Christian, you need to repent and obey Jesus. May Jesus bless you.

you judge too hastily. she states she LOVES GOD!

Sister you are under attack. I will pray for you and give you a sword to fend off the Enemy. Have Faith and allow that Shield of Faith to fend off the darts of the enemy. GOD LOVES YOU TOO!

2 Timothy 1:7
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

put on the armor of God

Ephesians 6:10-20 (New King James Version)

The Whole Armor of God

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age,[a] against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— 19 and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

Repent of your sins and pray for God's strength to help you resist temptation.

No my friend.

Actually Anandahya, I did judge too soon. She is truly under Spiritual attack. Thank you. May Jesus bless you.

I have been where you are and sadly sometimes I am judged because I have the tattoos up and down my legs as a reminder of my past. And to everyone I'm not saying tattoos are evil. I will say this. As we grow closer to God He will convict us of our sins and we must repent of those sins. To repent is to turn away from. Allow His work in you to continue and obey His word. We are in this world and not of this world so as you begin to live this reality there will be difficulties. But He provides us the strength required to be victorious.

You are on the right track!!!
Jesus didn't come to save the saved, he came to save the sinners!
Confessing your sins and confessing your love for our God and your desire to be with him is a great start.

While you may be confessing your sins, if you want forgiveness you need to truly repent and turn away from your sin. When Jesus forgives us he says to go and live free from sin.
At this point I usually throw out a bunch of scripture because yeah, they are true and need to be lived by, but sometimes we also just need someone who is there and who will listen and offer advice, if you need someone to talk to then just message me.
I lost my best friend of 11 years because of her wanting to be in relations with women and she pretty much denied God when she decided to be a christian because she knew it was against Gods law and she wanted what she wanted.

I love you in Jesus Christ so I don't want you to feel like I am preaching but that I am wanting to see you live the life God wants you to live.
Ask God, (if you want, I will pray with you) to come into your heart, tell him you are truly sorry for everything you have done and that you desire to live a life dedicated to Him.

There is no 'typical' christian, God never made us all the same, he made us all different, you will be surprised how he uses different people to fulfill his purpose. Ask God to reveal his purpose for your life.

Sin separates us from God, he does not care to look upon sin, but he is a forgiving father. He died on a cross so that we may be forgiven.
Above all, you need to stop sinning so you can get closer into His presence. He never said it would be easy, he said it would be worth it, he will never give us more temptation than he knows we can bear.
Repent, ask forgiveness, accept him as your savior, and start living a moral, proper life. Read your bible, pray a lot. Be around other Christians.Find a scripture that helps keep you focused and when you are tempted recite it and remember God loves you more than anything in this world, more than this world or anything in this world ever could. Remember he offers more than anything this world ever could, Remember he is going to be there through it all, you owe it to him to be there with Him through it all as well.
We don't even need to debate if sex before marriage is wrong, you know it is. By the love of God, you have been made a new being in Him, start acting like it and stop the ways of your old life.
Well, there is not much you can do about the ghosts and skulls things but you need to break those evil things out of your life, ghosts and skulls are not from the Lord. We welcome evil into our lives if we believe in such things. Astrology, the dead roaming around us etc...all those things are not from God.
I am sure you know what to do.
But yeah, you are on the right track to your new life in Christ.
He loves you so much, love him back
It wasn't nails that held God to a cross, it is the love he has for YOU!

Hey girl,
It is a good thing you say you have acceted Christ Jesus as your personal Lord and saviour.

However, Jesus says, if you love Him obey His commands. You profess Christ but you are not keeping His commands...good news is, the Holy Spirit is now convicting you and you now know that having sex before marriage is wrong, doing drugs and all that stuff you mentioned.

These things are just not gonna go away by the fact that you got born again. Your body did not, your soul did. This means that. is you do not control it and bring it into submission, it will rule over you and it will keep desiring the things you used to love doing...and if you submit to its desires, you will slide back to where you were before and probably to a worse state.

Bringing your body to the submission of Gods commands requires discipline from your side. And being a new believer that you are, you need someone to walk with you. Someone older than you and has been in salvation for a longer period than you. This person will only be found in Church.

What you need to do is find yourself a Bible believing Church that you will be attending. Find a pastor and talk to him/her about your situation...it wont be easy opening up to a person one on one as it is easy here because we do not see each other...then the pastor will take you through, repentance, healing, deliverance, etc.

Jesus loves you and He wants you to live a free life, a life free from bondage. Take courage, the work that God has started in you, He will surely bring it to completion.

Get a church girl.

Bless you lots.

Dude you are like the... most insensitive judgemental person Ive ever met seriously o_O

And this is what religion does... it patches you up puts a band aid over all the bad stuff and then makes you hate whats left. Healed by a belief.... by an idea of somthing greater and stronger and better than you, and now you have to change the things that were never broken. Hahaha don't you just love that system. Nothing left just little automatons :D

If you had read, I apologized. As for insensitive, no. I just know that anyone that continues to do sin will die. And I would rather warn them of that, and tell them to repent of it. But if this is a Spiritual issue, it will not happen by words, but by the Power of the Lord. May Jesus bless you.

The people in the days Jesus walked this earth were healed by their faith in Jesus to heal them. My friend, if you ever get into anything, just call on Jesus and he will heal you. He will save you. I would say, call on him now, so that you will be saved. May Jesus bless you.

Oh yeah I read that mate. :) I did but that doesn't change anything.

Thanks everyone, I am feeling a little better. I'm currently looking for a good church to go to. I have a bible but haven't been reading it like I should. My dad is a good Christian but I haven't been able to talk to him lately...sometimes because I'm embarrassed about talking about things like this with him. I am gonna talk to him today though and keep looking for a church and start reading my bible instead of letting it just sit there.

repent and do lots of good deeds to compensate for your bad ones
try to forget the past and go on with a new life full of belief and chaistity

There is nothing that we can do to make up for our sin, in god's eyes are good deeds are just dirty rags.

Jesus has done it all for you - all your sin freely forgiven. Yet don't remain in your sin, come out of it and seek God with all your heart mind and soul.

Amen Bro. 1 John 1:9, f we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness...PSalm 103:12, as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. Once we confess, we are sure that God has forgotten all about it, we have been redeemed and become the righteousness of God. All we have to do is choose to please Him by living by His commands. If we love Him, we have to keep His commands. We have to fear Him.
