In Proverbs it says "In the way of righteousness there is life; along that path is immortality." You know As Human beings we can never fathom what it will be like when we come to earth. As young ones we think we can conquer all and take the earth by storm but yet we can't even conquer ourselves and our sinful nature. That is if we live by Human Nature, But there is another Nature we can live by. The Righteous Nature of God. Impossible to live by? Impossible to be perfect maybe but it doesn't mean you can't strive to be so.

Now let me be clear there is only one person that ever lived that Perfect Righteous Nature of God and His name is Jesus Christ. He set the model and standard on how we are to live by. You may ask, Can we live this Righteous Nature and live it Perfectly? We can certainly live it, we may not be perfect in it but we can strive to be Perfect in it.

Did you know that in this world today our biggest enemy isn't satan because Jesus defeated him 2000 years ago but is Sinful Our Human Nature? Do you know why we are at constant war with our human nature? It's because we think it's an easier life to live by! And we want things to be nice and easy for us and not face the challenges of living like Christ did! But is it really a challenge to live like Christ did? Remember He said, "My yoke is easy and My burden is light."You see that is the wrong mindset we as Human Beings have had all this time! You may not think it or believe it but it's true! When you Become a Christian and start living the life Christ intended for you and I to live by, it becomes easier and easier for us to put behind Our Sinful Human Nature of the past. And as we do that we can more and more live The Righteous Nature of God.

But it doesn't mean you won't be tested in your walk. Does it not say in James? "Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything." Remember we all get tested at some point in our lives from time to time but it doesn't mean we walk away and give up striving to be Christlike! We must push through this and we conquer our human nature through Jesus Christ and when we do that we will then start acting like and becoming more like Christ each day in our daily walk with Him. That's when we start living The Christ Nature!

In Closing here is the verse from Proverbs we began with in this blog "In the way of righteousness there is life; along that path is immortality." Remember that my friends. Be Blessed.

The only real way to conquer our flesh is by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. If we walk in the Spirit as He leads us and not by our own flesh. Read Romans 8:1-8.

Thanks for your post. It's not easy that's for sure. Our individual hearts tell us one thing while the Bible tells us another. Trust in the Bible and Jesus Christ, because it explains that the heart is deceitful and wicked. That's pretty clear. There are some out there who believe once you accept Christ, your automatically INSTANTLY a new creation. They think that you don't slip-up anymore. No. Not the case. In fact, the Bible states that anyone who claims they don't sin anymore is a liar. So you think you don't sin? What about sins of omission? The point is, the first stage is Justification (getting saved). The second stage is Sanctification. That means striving to be as Holy as Jesus taught us to be. Interestingly, I spoke with my Pastor about this. He's been a Christian for 50 years and he is still in the Sactification stage. The main point is to TRY...AND NEVER GIVE UP, AND NEVER STOP BELIEVING! PRAISE JESUS! AMEN!

Have you noticed that my posts about the two mindsets, the first being a passive mindset that relies solely on the teaching of Paul to support a doctrine that requires no effort on the part of the believer to eliminate sin from their lives (aka once saved always saved) & the second mindset being a more interactive mindset based on the teachings of Christ to support living a lifestyle modeled after the example given to us by Jesus Christ (aka crucifying the flesh), has been deleted?

Before any believer even attempts to tackle the teachings of Paul, I strongly suggest that you study the teachings of Christ Jesus. In the Sermon on the Mount Jesus clearly lays down the guidelines to a lifestyle based on loving God & loving others by putting their needs above your own, abandoning all selfish pursuits and making whatever sacrifices that needs to be made in order to follow after Jesus' example. This my brothers & sister is truly what Christ meant when He said "pick up your cross and follow me."

Many christians today choose not to pursue this lifestyle because they feel intimidated that Jesus was able to fulfill it to sinless perfection. However, if you study His example closely, all Jesus requires of us is trhat we follow his example perfectly (do not stray from the path). Jesus fully understood that no man is perfect and that is exactly why He sacrificed His life for us on the cross so in times of struggle when we do stumble and fall, we can run to Him with a humble heart and ask forgiveness, dust ourselves off and continue living by His example. He did not die so that we can twist scripture to justify sin as so many do today.

Amen my friend! It is a life long journey...

Now guys please don't assume that just because one does not pursue the Sermon on the Mount lifestyle that I am saying they are not saved. We are saved by grace and grace alone and if you whole heartedly confess your sins regularly then yes you you are saved. However, don't be mistaken, Jesus did not come to this earth to theoretically erase the Law through some hypothetical fulfillment. It is through His example that He fullfilled the law in front of all mankind to see and take notice. I believe that Matthew 5:17-20 clearly supports this.
