Free speech is a double-edged sword. You are free to say what you want. Other people are free to say you are wrong or even that you are an idiot. You are also free to say that you are right and they are the ones who are idiots.

You are against anybody disagreeing with you. And then you go out of your way to disagree with people.

And I am running out of popcorn again.

My thoughts exactly but to voice them I'd have to talk to him and he's so boring to talk to 😂. I hope he's saved, but he converses like an unbeliever. Definitely an extremely immature Christian at best and I'm assuming a learning disability is involved as well..

Oh, right. Even today, apparently?
Even today, a married woman has to serve both her boss and clients at work and her husband and kids at home.
Why not let all the other Christians accept God's sovereignty then, instead of warning them away from the horrors or dating and marriage?
Because God joins couple together, not man. What God joins together, let no man separate; what God doesn't join together, let no man join together.
Because it is. LOL.
Then don't be surprised for any exploitation.

If you're genuinely triggered by the topic of sex, then I apologize, and I promise to not mention it again, alright? Believe it or not, sex is abhorrent and shameful to me as much as it is to you, I only used it to ridicule this idolatry of marriage, so can we go back to discuss contentment in singlehood?

Even today, a married woman has to serve both her boss and clients at work and her husband and kids at home.

Oh, no. The horror. That sounds utterly terrible and totally not worth it for anyone. Hahaha. A married man also has to serve his bosses and clients and take care of his wife and kids at home. And yet, people still desire marriage and get married. And yet, healthy marriages and happy families still exist.

Most things in life that are worth doing are challenging and can be difficult, certainly. That doesn't mean we don't do them. But, sure, if the challenge of marriage is too tall an order, then, yeah, you can personally choose to stay single.

Because God joins couple together, not man. What God joins together, let no man separate; what God doesn't join together, let no man join together.

Hmmm. Maybe all the Christians who are currently married and all the Christians who are currently getting married were joined together by God. Or is that an impossibility?

Then don't be surprised for any exploitation.

OK, if certain spouses are "exploiting" their spouse, as you put it (whatever it is that you mean by that), that's because we're all sinful humans and we have to make choices about doing the right thing or not. It is not because the institution of marriage itself is evil. Didn't you say something here before along the lines of "marriage is neutral" or something?

Is it inevitable that a married couple, or a Christian married couple will turn into horrible people after they get married? Well, if you think that, then, yeah, just stay single.

Alright, good luck with that.

I was just telling ya, man proposes, God disposes. Desire and choose whatever you want, the outcome is determined by God.

No, certain spouses are "exploiting" their spouse when they desired marriage for sex, and use their spouses for sex whenever and wherever they like it. Yes, marriage itself is neutral, it's only as exploitative as the couple themselves.

Alright, good luck with that.

I was just telling ya, man proposes, God disposes. Desire and choose whatever you want, the outcome is determined by God.

So when Christians get married, it's because God determined that outcome? It wasn't a dreadful mistake on their part?

No, certain spouses are "exploiting" their spouse when they desired marriage for sex, and use their spouses for sex whenever and wherever they like it. Yes, marriage itself is neutral, it's only as exploitative as the couple themselves.

This is true. But you seem to believe that every single marriage is like that.

Determines on whether they're equally yoked in Christ.

This is true. But you seem to believe that every single marriage is like that.
No, I seem to beleive that we're in the middle of a distress, just like the Corinthians. Most young adults are still living with their parents, it is hard enough to sustain oneself, let alone spouse and kids.

Fatalistic nonsense. People are not puppets. God gives us free will. Believers can and should have marriages that are the envy of their non Christian friends and acquaintances.

No, I seem to believe that we're in the middle of a distress, just like the Corinthians. Most young adults are still living with their parents, it is hard enough to sustain oneself, let alone spouse and kids.

And yet, even in their time of distress, Paul did not forbid the Corinthians from getting married.

And some young adults are in fact, gaining independence, moving out, and getting married. Yes, some still live with their parents, for varying reasons. From the statistics I've seen, however, it is not "most."

God gives us free will to defy the sinful desires of our flesh and love him, just as we prefer a real person instead of a robot.

The real nonsense is idolizing marriage as a unique Christian privilege, even though marriage was designed for Adam and Eve, the progenitors of all mankind, not just Christians.

And what if they are? Is their decision to get married still a dreadful mistake?
What if neither of us know that for sure, and neither of us should speculate, for it's none of our business?
And yet, even in their time of distress, Paul did not forbid the Corinthians from getting married.
"All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. "

"There're lies, damn lies and statistics."

I don't know anyone who believes that marriage is a unique Christian privilege. I know unbelievers with good marriages. Some Christians struggle with relationship problems. You may be astonished to know that it is possible to love God, love your spouse and love your neighbour as well. With your outlook on life, you will have no trouble staying single.

So you don't actually know for sure whether it's a mistake for Christians to marry. And yet you seem to wish that every Christian would decide to not marry.

"All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. "

Including singleness?

"There're lies, damn lies and statistics."

That didn't address anything I just said.

No, I seem to wish married stay married, singles stay singles, in this perilous time.
Including singleness?
That's the default status for all, everyone's born single, dating is a choice. So I suppose singleness is not included.

It did when you raise "statistics" to legitimize your claim.

You don't know anyone? Hey, how about you yourself, quote, "Believers can and should have marriages that are the envy of their non Christian friends and acquaintances?" And you may be astonished to know that the salvation of our soul is found in the precious blood of our Lord alone, not the blood plus marriage, plus kids, plus wealth, plus dashing appearance, plus any worldly things. A unique Christian privilege is a close relationship with God the Creator of the universe through Jesus our Lord and Savior, we are able to love others only because He first loved us, anything else such as marriage is added bonus, which God can give and take away.

Well, I will consider your wishes, haha.

Oh. Alright then.

It did when you raise "statistics" to legitimize your claim.

You implied that my statistics were a "lie." And yet your only argument to advance that was a catchy and pithy quote.
