Even today, a married woman has to serve both her boss and clients at work and her husband and kids at home.
Oh, no. The horror. That sounds utterly terrible and totally not worth it for anyone. Hahaha. A married man also has to serve
his bosses and clients and take care of his wife and kids at home. And yet, people still desire marriage and get married. And yet, healthy marriages and happy families still exist.
Most things in life that are worth doing are challenging and can be difficult, certainly. That doesn't mean we don't do them. But, sure, if the challenge of marriage is too tall an order, then, yeah, you can personally choose to stay single.
Because God joins couple together, not man. What God joins together, let no man separate; what God doesn't join together, let no man join together.
Hmmm. Maybe all the Christians who are currently married and all the Christians who are currently getting married
were joined together by God. Or is that an impossibility?
Then don't be surprised for any exploitation.
OK, if certain spouses are "exploiting" their spouse, as you put it (whatever it is that you mean by that), that's because we're all sinful humans and we have to make choices about doing the right thing or not. It is not because the institution of marriage itself is evil. Didn't you say something here before along the lines of "marriage is neutral" or something?
Is it inevitable that a married couple, or a Christian married couple will turn into horrible people after they get married? Well, if you think that, then, yeah, just stay single.
