It could be because revival is defined by some differently. Some practice revivals all the time but the revival we are praying for is one like the great awakenings. We will not know the impact until years later. It is definitely inspiring and hopeful.
It is unfortunate that this is the response. But let's hope this is only the beginning of a great stirring of God.
I actually got emotional reading this story, and watching so many, especially young, gathering to praise, pray, and worship our awesome Lord.
I truly thought the pandemic was going to bring revival. I thought as people struggled more and more, they would look past themselves and human possibilities and look to God. I was surprised that people were so resigned to accepting conditions and not cry out for deliverance. I'm encouraged to see God at work.
According to IFA, there is more going on. I try not to get too hyped up about this stuff, as we Christians tend to get things blown out of proportion quickly. IFA keeps writing articles with "prophetic words" and such, but in my opinion at least, these are not prophecies. Too much was "prophesied" in 2020 that never materialized. And, I keep hearing about a revival in the sense of mass conversions and a rejuvenation of the church, but in hindsight, those things did not occur. In fact, things seem to have gotten worse, both within and with-out the church.
Amen. May God raise up a people who are as zealous for God's glory as God is for His own glory.
