I was making a point how throughout the whole bible from the OT to the NT you can see examples of people of God going against the governing authorities by not following their ungodly laws, and standing for God by following His laws over theirs.
The Apostles are a clear example of this, they were put to death or exiled for not following the laws of the land to stop preaching what they considered blasphemous teaching in their area. It is not unlawful in God's eye to follow His laws over mans laws. It is a sin if you support and follow a law of man that contradicts His.

Sorry but it has not been repeatedly shown to me that I am false on the subject of the death penalty when it comes to scripture, and as a matter of fact the only things that you and a couple others have brought up. I have shown how they were misused, and the context was taken wrong.
You can look it up in the bible and other studies, there is no clear cut scripture in the NT that says the death penalty is acceptable. And Romans 13 does not do that, for if you try to make it fit what you say that we have to follow that law because our government said so, then like I said follow and support abortion, and gay marriage when it gets legalized nationally. The bible clearly states that you can not support other peoples sins, or it makes you guilty of sin to.
Wrong on your behalf to, because I know a lot of biblical scholars who do not support the death penalty.

To refer me to the SDA or JV and calling it cult like is just plain ridiculous, for I am not part of any denomination.

I am apart of one of the biggest movements growing in Christianity right now, and that is the nondenominational movement. We teach only from the bible, and do not let mans philosophies, traditions, customs, and personal values corrupt the word.
My main question would be to you and others that believe the NT covenant still supports death penalty is the same I have always said;
Three scriptures in the NT say that the Lord our God shows no personal favoritism to any man;

So why would the Lord show personal favoritism and wave the death penalty for some sins, but not others ? ( He wouldn't )

Him taking the death penalty does not mean he supported it.
His life being taking had to be done to give us a way to be forgiven of our sins, and even in that what did He say about those who crucified Him. He prayed to God to forgive them for doing this.

I'm not casting any stones at you brother.. and don't take any offense to statements on here, I understand your position, but I agree, that there are lines, if a guy comes home from doing 25 years for premeditated murder, and he gets the same thoughts to do so again, he's better to cut off his arms and or legs that he doesn't.. Thank you, and I didn't mean to make it sound like you were doing it.
I try not to take offense to others statements, but when name calling and trying to make themselves out to be better than another because they believe they are more educated then you and take every opportunity to point it out when you have made a mistake even a tiny bit, it still gets under my skin. So I still struggle in that area.

Yes I know that scripture to, and yes I agree with it to. It is better to cast the part off that makes you sin, then to let your whole body perish. Eliminate the sin, and save your spirit through Jesus Christ.

I have no idea if this case made the national news, but it was up all over here, but then it happened here. The kid missed out on facing the death penalty only because he was 17 at the time of the incident.

The authoritative word of God is not limited only to the words of Jesus in the NT.

All of Scripture is God-breathed and authoritative.

1) It doesn't require a "clear cut Scripture" to know what the Scriptures teach.
There is no "clear cut Scripture" stating a Triune God, but it is everywhere presented in the NT.
There is no "clear cut Scripture" stating God is sovereign, but it is everywhere presented in Scripture.
There is no "clear cut Scripture" stating that believers are in a relationship with God, but it is everywhere presented in the NT.

2) Ro 13:1-2, 4 are very clear regarding the Christian's obligation to obey the governing authority,
and regarding its God-authorized power of capital punishment (v.4).

3) Paul willingly offered to submit to capital punishment in Ac 25:11, which he would not have done
if doing so were Christian disobedience.
You will find submission to, and not prohibition of, capital punishment by Paul.

4) Jesus likewise reminded Peter that he would be subject to capital punishment if he killed any who were sent to arrest him, when he told Peter to put away his sword, for he who lives by the sword (commits murder) will die by the sword (capital punishment).
You will find acceptance of, and no prohibition of, capital punishment by Jesus.

The NT is clear on the God-authorized power of capital punishment by the governing authority.
