Isn't that the stuff they put into mylar bags to preserve food? Like crushed sea shells and stuff? How do you "take/eat it?" Idk much about it and would be interested to hear why you take it and what health benefits it gives?

I’ve been using DE for 15 yrs or more. There are 2 grades of it. I’ve only used the “restaurant” grade, which is suitable for human and animal consumption. The low-grade stuff, for example, is used in swimming pool filters.

The restaurant grade, if memory serves, has 16 minerals. Do not take it straight, however. You mix it in a glass of liquid. Also, keep mixing because the DE will slowly sink to the bottom.

It will also get rid of internal parasites in animals. It’s also the best flea removal produce you’ll ever use. That’s because it’s super effective and nontoxic.

I could go on and on; however, if you’re interested, visit Google and research it.

I've use amorphous (not crystalline) diatomaceous earth which is food grade, to kill bugs around the house.

Works great to kill bugs.

I'm not sure I'd ingest it without reading a lot more.
They do give it to livestock, but...
livestock only needs to live long enough to kill it and eat it, lol.
So, I'd want to read a lot more before ingesting it.

You just have to learn which one.

for example when it says "lemon flavored" you know that's probably not for insect control...

;)

((yes, we eat this mud from time to time, and use it for drawing out toxins from insect stings & poisonous plant contact))

extract of 'black walnut' is a great ridder of parasites and all 'natural'...
it's in most stores in the 'spice section' or in your local HFS...
if you buy veggies or grow them and don't 'wash' properly, you HAVE PARASITES!
plus many parasites are ingested through meats & other foods if not properly cooked...

'Nutritional brewers yeast flakes', fortified-Premium-unsweetened, gluten free, non GMO -
contains just about everything your body needs every day, as far as essential amino-acids
and a balance of essential 'B' vitamins...

these are just (2) things that can help you to live a better life, we have used them and
analyzed their effects on the both of us for many, many years...all good for us anyway...:):)
