Because of your unwillingness to consider the whole context within which the statement sits, you refuse to consider the final statement which is:

"Now, will the revelation of what Jesus has done for you cause you to go out and sin? Of course not! In fact, knowing that He has borne your punishment will cause you to fall in love with Him. It will give you the strength to break free from sin!"

The above statement is also in error. Being made free from sin is by spiritual rebirth in Jesus Christ, not by our "own knowledge"=knowing. It is by the power of God's Holy Spirit in Jesus Christ that we are made free. Again JP's errors are numerous. :)

You appear to be of the same mindset as those Paul wrote about in Romans 3:8 (those who slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say, let us do evil, that good may come).

Did Paul teach that good comes when evil is done? Nope.

Well done. It exposes the malice and thus the subsequent slander that drives this kind of "spirit" to malign others in the body of Christ. We are not ignorant of these devices. The truth of the beauty of the gospel of the grace of Christ and His work for us will always prevail.

“But Pastor Prince, didn’t God punish King David for his sin and he lost his child?”

Don’t forget that David, like Elijah, lived before the cross of Jesus. You will never find an example of God punishing a believer for his sins in the new covenant. Let’s study the Scriptures for ourselves and not just go by what people are saying.

When David sinned against God by committing adultery with Bathsheba and plotting the death of her husband, Uriah, sin was imputed to David and he was punished. Although the punishment was tempered with God’s mercy, David was punished nonetheless because he was under the covenant of law and not the covenant of grace.

Do you know who David was describing when he said, “Blessed is the man to whom the Lord shall not impute sin”? (Rom.4:8) Since it’s clear that sin was imputed to David, he could not have been describing himself as some scholars claim. No, he was looking prophetically into the covenant of grace. He was describing you and me — a new generation of people who are under the covenant of grace!

What does “shall not impute sin” mean? Does it mean that you will never sin again?

Did Jesus die on the cross to free us from committing sinful actions or harboring sinful thoughts? If He did, then allow me to conclude with reverence that He failed.

You and I know fully well that we can still be tempted with sinful thoughts and tempted to commit sinful actions, and

˄ Page-57 ˄

there will still be times when we fail. Can you show me a man who is free from all temptations and who never fails?

My friend, when David described the blessed man as one to whom the Lord will not impute sin, he meant that even when this man sins, God will not count his sin against him, nor punish him for his iniquity. Too good to be true? That is why David defined this man as a blessed man. And this blessed man is you and me! Today, you are blessed because the Lord no longer counts your sins against you. Because of the cross
of Jesus, you will never be punished for your sins again.

Your sins were imputed to Jesus, so that they would never be imputed to you. Under the new covenant of grace that was sealed with the blood of Jesus, God has already judged sin completely on the body of Jesus Christ.

This means that even when you fall short of God’s holy standards, the punishment for sin will not fall on you. The wages of sin is death, but Jesus has already died on your behalf. Your sins have already been imputed to His account!

Today, you are blessed because the Lord no longer counts your sins against you. Because of the cross of Jesus,
you will never be punished for your sins again.

Look at what John said: “If anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.” (1 John 2:1)

He did not say, “If anyone sins, he will be punished for his sins!” No, under the new covenant of grace, Jesus is today your Advocate. He represents you before God and as Jesus is, so are you! (1 John 4:17)

Is Jesus righteous before God? Yes! Then so are you. Is He accepted before God? Yes! Then so are you. Is He well-pleasing before God? Yes! Then so are you.

˄ Page-58 ˄

Now, will the revelation of what Jesus has done for you cause you to go out and sin? Of course not! In fact, knowing that He has borne your punishment will cause you to fall in love with Him. It will give you the strength to break free from sin!

I highlighted a few more of his errors in red above. Note grace is not a license to sin, so unrepentant and wilful sin and rebellion will not go unpunished, and unrepentant and ongoing wilful sin and blasphemy of the Holy Spirit has not forgiveness according to the words of God. :)

We can go to the words of the apostle John.

A child born of God can not sin, because he was born of God.

So a true child of God can not live in willful unrepentant sin. So it does not matter what JP says, You are in error to think a child of God, born of the spirit, given the spirit of God as a guarantee, Adopted as his child, can not live in willful unrepentant sin.

so I would suggest

1. You stop excusing or denying not yours sin
2. You look to Christ for salvation, and stop looking to yourself
'3. You stop this vendetta against JP. All your doing is making yourself look bad.

Let me prove by scripture that it is not our "own knowing" that makes us free from sin, but God through Christ who is the Son, and the Word of Truth and Life that has made us (his chosen and anointed saints) free from sin.

John 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

Romans 6:18
Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

Romans 6:22
But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

Romans 8:2
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

Galatians 5:1

Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

We are made new creations in Christ, we are His workmanship, He is our MAKER and Creator. We do not give birth to ourselves, we do not Create our own selves, or "right think" of "right know" ourselves into a new creation. This is the work of our MAKER and Creator by the power of His Word of Life, which is God's Son Jesus Christ.

Those who think they can "right think" or "right know" themselves as free from sin are just pronouncing themselves to be free. And the fact that they still confess to wilful and daily sin proves they have not truly been made free by the Son of God.

It is our love for our Savior, our Lord Jesus Christ, which helps us to remain close to Him so that we break free from sin. That is the point of the statement concerning our knowing that He has borne our punishment. We love Him because He first loved us.

1 John 4:

16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

19 We love him, because he first loved us.

20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

21 And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

From the website of Joseph Prince:

How Do I Get Saved?

Salvation is a gift from God, and comes through believing in Jesus and Jesus alone.

In John 14:6, the Bible tells us very clearly that Christ is the only way to God and eternal life, and in Romans 10:9–11, the Bible tells us how to be saved and have eternal life: Believe in our hearts that Jesus died for our sins and was raised from the grave, and confess with our mouths that He is our Lord and Savior.

Salvation | Joseph Prince Ministries

Do you hate your brother, Joseph Prince?

I am not advocating that you have to agree with him on every point, but according to 1 John 4:21 you are instructed to love brother Joseph Prince. Go to Jesus with your burden and He will help you overcome the weakness of your flesh. :)

Who is my brother?---->>>>Mark 3:35 For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother."

Though I do not consider Joseph Prince my "brother" in the Lord because he speaks contrary to the words of God, I still do not hate him personally. Because we are also told to love our enemies as well. :)

Oh my, aren't you the pious one?

Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Has Joseph Prince cursed you?

Does Joseph Prince hate you?

Has Joseph Prince despitefully used you?

Has Joseph Prince persecuted you?

Do you pray for Joseph Prince as instructed?

Please, do tell ... :)

More obfuscation on your part.

In light of your statement that we are told to love our enemies as well (Post #387), and Matthew 5:44 describes who our enemies are But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Please explain to us:

Has Joseph Prince cursed you?

Has Joseph Prince persecuted you?

Do you pray for Joseph Prince as instructed? :)

[h=1]Luke 6:24-28[/h] [SUP]24 [/SUP]But woe unto you that are rich! for ye have received your consolation.

[SUP]25 [/SUP]Woe unto you that are full! for ye shall hunger. Woe unto you that laugh now! for ye shall mourn and weep.
[SUP]26 [/SUP]Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.

[SUP]27 [/SUP]But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,

Yes, I agree with what I said in post #387 :)

I believe you are wasting your time with this type of a mindset...they don't come much more slippery and deceptive than what you are experiencing now.

We have all been there in the same boat. Unfortunately Romans 16:17 is the last resort for protection from this type of a mindset until it is deal with in some fashion.

God bless you for exposing what is really happening. This will help the saints to discern the "spirit" that is behind some things and to avoid interaction with them.

Okay, it appears you prefer Luke 6:27-28 as opposed to Matthew 5:44. So, we'll go with your choice.

According to Luke 6:28, a couple of questions still remain.

Luke 6:27-28 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.

Has Joseph Prince cursed you?

Has Joseph Prince despitefully used you?

My choice? LOL Why not go with the definition of enemy here--->>>James 4:4 "Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God."

Perhaps it does not work well in your attempts and hard efforts to entrap, ensnare, and bring accusations? :)

as was said earlier, You are most likely wasting your time, Even you have proved to him he is wrong. Yet all he does is throw scripture at you, then act all righteous and (in my view) arrogant.

It is his modus operendi. But praise you for trying..

Or how bout this definition of enemy---->>>>Acts 13:10 "And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?"

JP perverts the true gospel of Jesus Christ, so that definition of enemy could work as well. :)
