I finally realized that many of those decisions God leaves up to us.
Free will is a tremendous gift! God gives us choices within the context of His will on how we live our lives.
"Time and chance" happen to all of us.
I finally realized that many of those decisions God leaves up to us.
amen specifically the gospel
“And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead. To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.”
Acts 10:42-43 KJV
“For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”
John 5:22, 24 KJV
“Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
For All flesh is as grass, And all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:
But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.”
1 Peter 1:22-25 KJV
“Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.”
Luke 21:33 KJV
“And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.”
1 John 2:17 KJV
“And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.
And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.”
1 John 5:19-20 KJV
Ask God for confirmation from a brother or sister. my experience is you can expect it real soon. .... could even put a fleece out but that is a little more tricky.Does anyone have advice on how to discern the will of God? How much should we go by feelings? Should a lack of peace about doing something be enough to stop us from doing it, even if there's nothing clear in the Bible against it? I have struggled with knowing if I should, for example, take a certain trip or make a certain decision, sometimes huge decisions and sometimes just tiny everyday ones. How do I know if it's my own mind, or the still small voice of God if I don't "have peace" about it?
“If you’re saved, Spirit-filled, sanctified, submissive, suffering, and thankful – you ready for this? – do whatever you want. Do whatever you want. Marry whoever you want. Go wherever you want. Work wherever you want. Choose whatever you want. You say, “Whoa. Are you sure?” Absolutely. Because if this is true of your life, guess who’s controlling your wants. Do whatever you want.Does anyone have advice on how to discern the will of God? How much should we go by feelings? We have learned after waiting on Him, 1st. things come 1st. , seeking His Kingdom 1st. is always the primary will for us in the scriptures.
