Do protestants have a reasonable non-Roman-Catholic explanation for John 20:22-23?

Without being obedient to the Lord as in being led by the Holy Spirit, one cannot be saved:

Romans 6:16
Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

What speechlessness is that?

We should accept what the Lord' teaches in His Word.

Those that don't won't be allowed in to Heaven.

The verse in Romans 6:16 KJV should be interpreted within its broader theological framework rather than as an isolated condition for salvation. Paul’s argument throughout Romans is that justification is by faith alone (Romans 3:28; 5:1 KJV). Therefore, obedience in this passage functions as evidence of regeneration, not as the basis of it.

In other words, believers yield themselves to righteousness because they have already been made alive in Christ, not in order to achieve that life. This is consistent with the Pauline emphasis on sanctification following justification.

If salvation depended on human obedience, it would contradict the grace-based nature of redemption as clearly defined in Ephesians 2:8–9 KJV. Faith is the root; obedience is the fruit.

Grace and Peace

You should not say something about the Catholics when you know so little about Catholics.

Indulgence does not remove sin itself.
Only repentance and the sacrament of confession can forgive or remove the guilt of sin.
Even sin is forgiven, there is still punishment.
Indulgence only makes the punishment go easier but with no effect if the sin is not forgiven in the first place.
So if I give the pope enough money God will go easy on me? 😂 Again. Try reading some history on your beloved Babylon.

That's what I thought. You make an accusation without proof. That's bearing false witness against your neighbor. Time for you to head to confession.
You are the one who accused me making lie in #480.

It is not my burden to prove I did not lie. It is your burden to prove I lied.
simple enough, but still you don't get it.!

The burden of proof is on you because you are the one who said there are >40000 denominations. A negative cannot be proven, and there's no reason for me to try. Either put up the evidence of >40000 denominations, retract your statement, or be a liar. The decision is yours.

You don't know the way to disprove the assertion: 40000 denominations.
Should I teach you?

Anyone ever wonder why catholics come here? There are many valid reasons for tge

Dont you have to get ready for mass soon? Since the pope fixed it you can go Saturday and have all day Sunday to troll Christian sites. 🙂

Best you head to confession soon. You don't want to spend more time in purgatory than you have to.

Luke chapter 18 describes how a tax collector and Pharisee prayed in temple.

Catholics are like tax collector: they bear sins and not good enough for heaven.‘O God, be merciful to me a sinner.’ They are willing going to purgatory to purify before entering heaven.

Protestants must be like the Pharisee: Sure I can step foot on heaven! I have faith alone and once saved always saved! I am not like the rest of the Catholics: harlots, heresy!

These official standing of the Catholic Church were there for centuries. If one is so disagree with them why one insisted to be a Catholic priest in the first place?
These dogmas and doctrines do not come out after one's ordination to his priesthood.

So I see AI has given you stupid guidance.

What was evil about eating meat on Friday that it was a mortal sin until very recently in history?
