By unbelief they did not enter his rest the day of provocation no belief Faith in, murmuring and complaining over and over never satisfied so they never entered his rest
Hebrews 3:18And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?
Hebrews 4:1Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
Hebrews 4:10For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.

In Hebrews 3? Who are they that believed not?

HEBREWS 4 [6] Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:[7] Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, HARDEN NOT YOUR HEARTS.

You find "harden not your hearts" in Hebrew 4. You also see that in Hebrews 3. Talkin bout the same thing.

HEBREWS 3 [12]Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. [13] But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. [14] For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end; [15] While it is said, to day if ye will hear his voice, HARDEN NOT YOUR HEARTS, AS IN THE PROVOCATION. [16] For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came OUT OF EGYPT by Moses. [17] But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, WHOSE CARCASES FELL IN THE WILDERNESS? [18] And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not? [19] So we see that THEY COULD NOT ENTER IN BECAUSE OF UNBELIEF.

Scripture above (out of Egypt - into the wilderness - those that believed not - destroyed them)
Scripture below (out of Egypt - into the wilderness - polluted HIS SABBATHS - destroyed them)

EZEK.20 [10] Wherefore I caused them to go forth OUT OF THE LAND OF EGYPT, and brought them INTO THE WILDERNESS. [11] And I gave them my statutes, and shewed them my judgments, which if a man do, he shall even live in them.[12] Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the LORD that sanctify them.[13] But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness: they walked not in my statutes, and they despised my judgments, which if a man do, he shall even live in them; and MY SABBATHS THEY GREATLY POLLUTED: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them IN THE WILDERNESS, TO CONSUME THEM.

Hebrews 3 and Ezek 20 also speaking of the same thing. So, how do you deny God and Jesus according to this new testament scripture, and walk in the spirit of unbelief. Who are these people and why were they killed in the wilderness? The answer would be very important, as this passage from the NEW TESTAMENT tells us NOT to do as they did and walk with an evil heart of unbelief. When we go back to the old testament to see exactly what the new testament is talkin about we find that Hebrews 3 is speaking of those who did not keep the sabbath and how the Lord was to destroy them in the wilderness because of unbelief. So the scripture in Hebrews 3 is telling us, as believers we must keep the sabbath, and not to walk with an evil heart of unbelief.

Our Blessed Master gave us the parable of the wheat and the tares, this coexistence is the reference I believe has been indicated in yearning, as we all do, for the family to be perfect. This time will come too, when the Lord's Day arrives. Blessed be the Savior of all, Jesus, amen.
What a family we are

If you or any other wants to observe the physical Sabbath praise God because what you do for God is accepted by faith. But when these observances are imposed on others it is no longer the Gospel but a counterfeit similar to what happen to the Galatians and the Gentile believers in Acts 15.

Not sure i understand. Acts 15 for the most part is talking of circumcision which was nailed to the cross but with a little diggin you will find a sabbath truth in acts 15.

ACTS 15 [17] That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things. [18] Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world. [19] Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among THE GENTILES are turned to God: [20] But that we write unto them, that THEY ABSTAIN FROM POLLUTIONS OF IDOLS, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood. [21] For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.

ACTS 15 as a whole was speaking as to whether gentiles needed to be circumcized or not.

ACTS 15 [4] And when they were come to Jerusalem, they were received of the church, and of the apostles and elders, and they declared all things that God had done with them. [5] But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That IT WAS NEEDFUL TO CIRCUMCISE THEM, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.

ACTS 15 [24] Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, YE MUST BE CIRCUMCISED, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment:

Nothing to do with the 10 commandments. So lets look into what pollution of idols {V 20} is all about. What I found was very as always, when you let scripture interpret scripture

LEVITICUS 19 [3] Ye shall fear every man his mother, and his father, and KEEP MY SABBATHS: I am the Lord your God. [4] TURN YE NOT UNTO IDOLS, NOR MAKE TO YOURSELVES MOLTEN GODS: I am the Lord your God.

LEVITICUS 26 [1]Ye shall MAKE YOU NO IDOLS NOR GRAVEN IMAGE, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am the Lord your God. [2] YE SHALL KEEP MY SABBATHS, and reverence my sanctuary: I am the Lord.

EZEKIEL 20 [16]Because they despised my judgments, and walked not in my statutes, BUT POLLUTED MY SABBATHS: FOR THEIR HEART WENT AFTER THEIR IDOLS.

I guess these scriptures bring up the question as to what is a graven image?

WE are to rest from our works period all of them where we thus as believers in the newCovenant, new priesthood and new law of love are no longer trying to obey the letter of the law as is what flesh does and is wesak and can't. We are born alive in the flesh then when one comes to belief they become dead to the flesh that is weak and can't obey as what was in the wilderness the day of provocation, even the disciples kept falling asleepin the Garden of Gethseminee and Jesus said as he woke them up the Spirit is willing but the flesh is weak.
Under the new covenant we are released from the Law where it is impossible to please God and even the diosciples asked Jesus after they saw the rich man walk away very sad for he could not give up this world and what this world had given him. So the disciples ask Christ how is it possible that anyone can enter Heaven?
Jesus replied with man it is impossible, but with God all things are possible. Was Christ talking about Christ going to the cross? Bringing in the new covenant? What tribe was Christ from? Not the levitical tribe, no Christ was from the tribe of Judah There is a big differance between old covenant and new one
Also Christ is the same togay, yesterday and forever. The promise was given to Abraham not the levitical priesthood, the Law even though Just true and Holy in and of itself when it flows in man flesh flesh is weak and does not obey
This is why Christ came and
Romans 8:3For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in the flesh,
After this if one believes and sees this then by belief in the operastion of God oyu are born again of the Spirit by the resurrrection of Christ.
Romans 4:24but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness—for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead.
Romans 4:25He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.
Romans 6:4We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.
What is this new life? A life of freedom, but not for an occassion of the flesh where all sin has been condemned to A life of love to all as god has shown us what love is in 1 Cor 13 and wants us to have this type of love but the human flesh cannot receive this this i why wqe are to be dead to flesh rules regulations, and traditions, thus being free to love without man made rules and regulations in the way of love
Hope this helps
And here is your judgement to me and is not a concern of mine

Hebrews 3 and Ezek 20 also speaking of the same thing. So, how do you deny God and Jesus according to this new testament scripture, and walk in the spirit of unbelief

So sorry that you are judging me I am not judging you, anyone and all are free to choose and believe what they choose to believe. I personally believe God that we are under a new covenant today a new priesthood Jesus Christ, and a new Law the Law of Love. That is the fulfillment of all law God's love in 1 cor.13

This becomes dangerously close to the letter of the Law and the Spirit of God, I personally want only the Spirit of God where today no sin can be at for all sin has been condemned to the flesh and the only escape is to walk in the Spirit and you
Galatians 5:16This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
Sow to the Spirit and you are a doer of the law all of it

Yeah Homwardbound i thought about this long ago. I believe the "judging" spoken of in the scriptures has to be the physical part of jugding. Remember when Jesus was there with the woman who was to be stoned for commiting adultry. The stoning was to be the judgement and it was written in the law to do so in the old testament. To speak of scriptures correcting ones actions is not judgement

2 Timothy 3:16 (KJV)
[SUP]16 [/SUP]All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

2 Timothy 3:16 (KJV)
[SUP]16 [/SUP]All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Yes anyone can slice dice and cube scripture has been done for years and Judgement will be on ones Motive
Lets see John chap 8 the woman caught in Adultery
Well these priests, the tempters trying to anyway, there own consciences convicted them they knew they were not doing right. And you know what else they did not bring the man that was caught with her and Law was to bring him also. Why is there such predjudice against the Female, when she was actually made equal to man from the rib of man.
Anyway and Jesus starts writing on the ground in the sand with his finger and we are left up to speculate what we was writing, and I see he was writing you have and are doing this the first one leaves and then the second and all the way down their sins were being exposed on themselves. Yes and he tells the woman and neither does he accuse her go and sin no more
Well, I know if that were me I would definately go on out with the effort 2,000% to sin no more only to find something that I can't keep from like Paul did 2Cor.12:7onward to the point of glorying in his sin Called (iniquities now) since Christ took all sin away from the Father sight by the death the last sacrifice for sin and the last Shedding of blood for sin. and there is no forgiveness without the shedding of Blood therfore there is no more frogiveness to be provided after the death of Christ, and this is where one goes onto the new life after the realization of this and accepts this truth, they have new life in him and have received the Love of the Father through Christ our propitiation of sin all sin, and being in the Spirit all sin has disappeared this is why we are to reckon oneself dead to sin (flesh) and alive to God
Now in trying to stop sin it is good to the point that one comes to the end of the energy of their own flesh and waving their white flag in they can't do it they can't be perfect as their heavenly Father is perfect. This is where the Ephinay happens.Time for the conscious choice of whether they are going to beleive or not believe
Either, one believes that he took all sin away at the death and God is not dealing with us on the basis of sin since he took it all away and then can see today God the Father is dealing with the believer on the basis of a new life (nature Spiritual) that he gives to you the believer that is a sinner and has admitted it, he raises you from the dead since you found out you are dead without the Spirit of God, Then Spirit reigns over flesh, and sin has been dealt within you gone by God throguh the cross
The entire whole point at the cross the dividing line in and of Human history For:
John 10:10The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
And after the cross the resurrection is where the new life is found and one can have this abundant life even if they are stuck in the mud for this reason the prince of this world Satan lost and has been judged
John 16:11and about judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned.

Day of the Lord. Gentiles. No profit!

oh brother.

we're either under and in the New Covenant now.....or.....you teach Dual Covenant theology......or, we don't have a Covenant at all.

Thats just it Zone. In the writings of Paul we find us gentiles {strangers} were not under the covenants given to Israel

EPHES. 2 [11] Wherefore remember, that ye being IN TIME PAST GENTILES in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; [12] That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and STRANGERS FROM THE COVENANTS OF PROMISE, having no hope, and without God in the world: [13] BUT NOW IN CHRIST JESUS ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. [14] For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

It was for Israel only. Was. We were once strangers from Gods covenants of promise, having no hope. BUT NOW in Christ, should we take hold of those covenants, we have hope

ISAIAH 56 [6] Also the sons of THE STRANGER, that join themselves to the Lord, to serve him, and to love the name of the Lord, to be his servants, every one THAT KEEPETH THE SABBATH from polluting it, and TAKETH HOLD OF MY COVENANT; [7] EVEN THEM WILL I BRING TO MY HOLY MOUNTAIN, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for ALL PEOPLE.

Even them (us gentile strangers mentioned in Ephes.2) will He bring to His holy mountain, if we should take hold of His sabbath covenant. Jesus will bring us to the 1000yr period of rest

ROMANS 1 [30] Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, [31] without understanding, COVENANTBREAKERS, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: [32] Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

And you can see who Paul lumps in with the covenantbreakers. Not good company

What is the best that anyone can receive here and now? What is the need of everyone after they are born here on earth out of the belly of a woman? What are babies Born of Flesh or Spirit? What is the only way that God is worshipped? Can anyone of the flesh ever please God?
Thank you Wall

He lumps all those those that are under Law not those that are upholding the Law throgh the Love of Christ and yes the gentile was never given the Law and what does God say about that through Paul
Romans 9:30What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith.
Romans 9:31But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness.
Romans 9:32Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone;
Romans 9:33As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
Romans 14:13Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.
Okay Brother, for I am not sure what you want or are after here by it seems that you are trying to mix Law and grace and the two do not mix like oil and water will not either. Today by Christ we are under a new Law the Law of Love found and recived in our new born again selfs by the operation of God the Father in the resurrection of Christ, we also are resurrcted in the Spirit and dead to carnal mind. under a new priesthood Christ was not from the tribe of Levi Christ came from a differant tribe the tribe of Judah through the promise of God to Abraham which was 430 years before any law was put in place and the law put ion place through Moses was to show us all our inabilty to obey that we are all in need of savior and that Savior is christ Jesus period the only way to the Father and salvation is received in the resurrection not in the death. now the death was needed though in order to clear the deck of the disease that caused death in the first place and that was sin. Jesus firs ttook it away and thus offers new life in him for those that believe periuod for Christ is the way the truth and the lifel, the only way top Father and Paul admonished the Galatians for adding totheir Faith any works of flesh are not the way Read Galatians again from ch.1 -3 in fact read all of it in context and see we are saved by Faith and not by works. You said it yourself the gentiles were never given the law, But ovet the years man thegentile has sure taken on the Law and have made shipwreck thier Faith in Christ, by taking on allsorts of fairy tales and traditions, and WOW!!!!!
It is as like the gentile race went over to Jerusalem and stole the tattered clothes off of the first chosen these clothes are tattered from trying to obey law and just torn to bits for many years before the cross and after the cross. The gentiles take off thier clothes and put these torn to ruin clothes on themselves thinking well you first chosen couldn't obey the law watch us we can, and never realizing what tey did when they put on the Law they put torn up clothes over the righteous clothes that they were given by Faith in God alone through the cross

Ah yes...faith
What did you do before faith came?

GALATIANS 3 [23] But BEFORE FAITH CAME, WE WERE KEPT UNDER THE LAW, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. [24] WHEREFORE THE LAW WAS OUR SCHOOLMASTER TO BRING US UNTO CHRIST, THAT WE MIGHT BE JUSTIFIED BY FAITH. [25] But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. [26] For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. [27] For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. [28] There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. [29] And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

This scripture says what it says. Before faith came to each and everyone of us, we are under the law (10 commandments). Then the scripture goes on to say the same thing again (in case you missed it the 1st time). We are under the law (our schoolmaster) UNTIL we are justified by faith. Faith is not something that you mysteriously attain attain at birth. So, according to this scripture you are kept under the law of the 10 commandments (the schoolmaster) until you are justified by faith in Christ. No shortcuts. Then there is no condemnation. After we have been brought to faith in Christ, do we then make void the law or are we to still be keeping Gods law?

ROMANS 3 [30] Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith. [31] DO WE THEN MAKE VOID THE LAW THROUGH FAITH? GOD FORBID: yea, we establish the law

Well I do not know about you it seems you are saying that you are not yet justified by Faith
Hope you see that through the death burial and most importantly the resurrection one is by belief justified by Faith in this finisged work of Christ and what was needed to be done is done in that one that beleives for he receives new life and is showered covered and smothered in the love of God passing out this love for that ones cup overfloweth with the 1 cor.13 love of God and it is love that goes on forever, Sorry you are still trying to be redeemed by works. Christ did that that is only a part of the mystery of this amazing Gospel, the full part is coming to the new life offered in the resurrection here and now, serving the living God being so preoccupied in this truth there is not time for sin sin is forsaken in this praise and thanking God, it is and never was done for an excuse to sin. And any mind manifested on sin whether that person wants to quit it or not will never quit it for as a man sows so shall he reap
Galatians 6:8Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.
Even though above it says to please their flesh the same result happens even when one does not want to please their flesh. This is and has always been the trap unto all mankind
Tell me Wall since you are up against it what I say here is it truth or a lie you know your ownself that this is true, everytime you try to stop what you are guilty of what do you end up doing? Yes Brother the escape is in Christ at the cross where you are protected by him and in him. You forsake the flesh by not thinking any thoughts of the flesh you turn from the carnal mind to the mind of God in appreciation to Gof for this amazing salvation to you by belief and yes there are those that take advantage of this, but thier day will come, for those that do this even Paul wrote the Corinthians abiut this taking advantage of such a wonderful salvation they were all in direct error of what the Gospel is and meant to do, yet Paul right from the opening letter called them Saints in Christ Jesus even though they were in error, Why? because Paul was taught to see all from God the Fasther's vantage point, this is how God the Father views the Believers to save us unto a Godly Sorrow as King David finally came to do.

Sorry you are still trying to be redeemed by works.

You are redeemed only by the grace of God. It is a free gift. But to whom is this free given? Is it given to those who listen to what HE saith?

ISAIAH 48 [17] THUSSAITH THE LORD, THY REDEEMER, THE HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL; I am the LORD thy Godwhich teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thoushouldest go.[18] O THAT THOU HADST HEARKENED TO MY COMMANDMENTS! then had thypeace been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea:

Or is it given to those that dont?

ISAIAH 5 [24] Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, andtheir blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of theLord of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

EZEK.8 [13] He said also unto me, Turn thee yet again, andthou shalt see greater abominations that they do.[14] Then he brought me to thedoor of the gate of the LORD's house which was toward the north; and, behold, there sat WOMEN WEEPING FOR TAMMUZ.[15] Then said he unto me, Hast thou seenthis, O son of man? turn thee yet again, and THOU SHALT SEE GREATERABOMINATIONS than these.[16] And he brought me into the inner court of theLORD's house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of the LORD, between theporch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs towardthe temple of the LORD, and THEIR FACES TOWARD THE EAST; AND THEY WORSHIPPEDTHE SUN TOWARD THE EAST.

There is a before and after Covenant. The death of Christ brought in a new covenant after he fulfilled the Law and the prophets as he said he came to do Matt. 5:17, then he went to the cross and yelles out It is finished and gave up the Ghost John 19:30, I would say to say it is finished means exactly waht he said he fulfilled the Law and Prophets 100%. This brought in an ew Covenant freed from the old Law:
Hebrews 8:6But in fact the ministry Jesus has received is as superior to theirs as the covenant of which he is mediator is superior to the old one, since the new covenant is established on better promises.
Hebrews 9:15
For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance—now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant.
Hebrews 8:8But God found fault with the people and said: “The days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and with the people of Judah.

The above has come in and through Christ Jesus
We are now not only under a new Covenant we are under a new Priesthood, Jesus was notfrom the Levitical Priesthood he was not born of the Levite tribe, he was born from the Judah tribe therefore where ther is a change of the Law there must be a change of the priesthood back to Abraham before Law was ever put in place in the order of Melchizadek:
Hebrews 7:11[ Jesus Like Melchizedek ] If perfection could have been attained through the Levitical priesthood—and indeed the law given to the people established that priesthood—why was there still need for another priest to come, one in the order of Melchizedek, not in the order of Aaron?

it is given to those that believein Christ Jesus the righteous the finished work and thus nove onto the resurrection here and now being dead to sin abd alive in Christ via the Holy Ghost that connects us together here and now the law all of it fulfilled in Christ Jesus, we are in possesion of the new covenant Laws and this boils down to Love God's type as described in 1 Cor13
Those that are born again by this miraculous salvation of christ Jesus have received righteousness(Christ's) and are Justified having the peace that passes all understanding, quietness and confidence in the Holy Ghost of god
