do we or dont we follow the sabbath?

Just this morning in my Hebrew reading in Job it says if we amend our ways and pray for the rebellious, even they will be saved. Here, from the American Standard, is the portion from Job 22 to which I refer. Line 30 in particualr. God, Yahweh, is so good all of the time.


Job 22:23
If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, If thou put away unrighteousness far from thy tents.

Job 22:24
And lay thou thy treasure in the dust, And the gold of Ophir among the stones of the brooks;

Job 22:25
And the Almighty will be thy treasure, And precious silver unto thee.

Job 22:26
For then shalt thou delight thyself in the Almighty, And shalt lift up thy face unto God.

Job 22:27
Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he will hear thee; And thou shalt pay thy vows.

Job 22:28
Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee; And light shall shine upon thy ways.

Job 22:29
When they cast thee down, thou shalt say, There is lifting up; And the humble person he will save.

Job 22:30
He will deliver even him that is not innocent: Yea, he shall be delivered through the cleanness of thy hands.

I pity us my friend. For if you see what I see, we are truly a rebellious people. Saturday, sunday has nothing to do with the sabbath. Saturday was only an exercise so to speak for mankind not to forget it's great rest from our labors, which are upon us now.

Sabbath means, rest......

Christ became our Sabbath. So Christ is our rest. We can Sabbath in Christ everyday. We are not to observe one day in particular concerning the Sabbath ,that is. As far as I know and believe. This is different then Passover, which is a time and day we have to observe.. But Christ is always observed as He is our true rest.

Exodus 20:10

10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

Show me a working believer who does not become tired from working just because he is a believer. In this day and age we do not have the physical rest every day described in the rest of the Sabbath. One may claim to the throne of Yahweh that because He believes the Only Begotten Son he has rest from his labor, but I tell you, if a person does not have time off from his work, he will get tired. This applies to all who love the Lord, Jesus too. If not, then those who believe they are rested should work seven days a week, just think of the increased income. No, one may rest from the curse of the law for it is dead, but until the Kingdom comes, it is incumbant on man, even believers, to work.

The Lord said this when the hypocrites did not want Him to heal on the Sabbath. This has nothing to do with the declaration made by some that the Sabbath has been rescinded.

Good point [size=+1]Cobus.[/size] Christ is the Lord God, He had no need of that rest of a 'Day'. But, if Christ is in you, you have that rest to call on 24/7.

Jesus said this when He was asked of the Sabbath and whether HE and HIS disciples keep the Sabbath and fasting...
Does Jesus (who is LORD (GOD) OF THE SABBATH) have to keep the GOD'S Sabbath? Jesus is ONE with God ALL the time. How can He spend more time with God if HE Spends ALL time with God.

Even when Jesus was here on earth, GOD WAS WITH HIM ALL THE TIME. So Jesus CANNOT rest more in God, if HE is IN GOD ALL THE TIME. Jesus is the LORD of the SAbbath, and the SAbbath was made for HIM, not HIM FOR SABBATH.

So this is how we keep the Sabbath as JESUS KEPT it.... Jesus said.... COME TO ME ALL WHO ARE HEAVY LADEN AND I WILL GIVE YOU REST!!!!! AH!!! If I go to Jesus HE will put a REST/Peace/Spirit/Life in me, that WILL BE WITH ME, and I IN IT ALL THE TIME.... the PERFECT SABBATH... TO BE ONE WITH GOD AND GOD WITH YOU! Amen!

Every second is SABBATH IN CHRIST JESUS! Peace that our mind cannot even contemplate, a Spirit from GOD, a life God determined In HIS SPIRIT even before the earth was formed, and a rest (Sabbath) from ALL our works.

O would like you to imagine a REST that Jesus can give you,... COME ON! Imagine a REST JESUS WANTS TO GIVE YOU!

I see that man has filled the earth with man, but the increase otherwise amounts to what prophets foretold several times, "The earth lies polluted under its inhabitants for the fruit of their doing." When the millennial sabbath is here, it will be obvious to all, not perceived by some only, all.

Man has been working for 6000 years. How long must we work? Is not the increase of the land here?

Very well, my posts deal with the replies and the original post, where does it say the Sabbath has been done away with. Where does it say Jesus is the Seventh Day, the Sabbath. He gives us rest, but we still need to rest our bodies from our work. Otherwise, we would be off work seven days a week. The Sabbath was given by God Who is our example, after six days He rested from His labor, and you and I know well the Almighty does not need rest, but it is an example, and also a gift of one day to be special between man and God. This by no means takes away from the salvation of Jesus Christ, nor does salvation rescind the goodness of the Sabbath, a gift from our Father for us all.

Right now there are 6 empty homes for every homeless individual in america, and our best answer has not deviated from what pharaoh told Moses so long ago.

If you have a clear conscience in the sight of God, Yahweh, in believing this, fine, but until you are able to demonstrate by the Word and by the Holy Spirit that Jesus Christ is the Seventh Day, I advise you to keep your interpretation between you and God, because what you have posted and pasted does not say the Sabbath is to be ignored, deleted from the faith of men.

Where does it say Jesus is the Seventh Day, the Sabbath.

It does not resend it, but it does fulfill it . Because Christ said He has come to fulfill the law.

Christ was God with us:

When the Lord returns, He will destroy the destroyers. Those empty homes are not wealth or abundance, they demonstrate the poverty of spirit of mankind today, his greed and the need for the world to turn to God. Many will turn to Him, but unhappily many will not. Perhaps this could be construed as abundance with man but to me it is abject poverty at every level.

Your not calling my words perverse; but Christ words. Because I just quoted him. Did I say any where ,that the sabbath day was Not to be observed . I said Christ is our Sabbath ...

The thing is, we can get in trouble when holding onto our understanding; when confronted with a thought from the Bible we were not aware of.,. It's okay to question weather it is right or wrong. But when it comes from Christ Himself, we should never resist Christ teachings, & what is written...
