Yeah but if we are delivered from the Law, what is wrong with coveting? We are delivered from the Law that says not to covet.

Or so says you.

what? LOL John are you really saying what you are trying to say? You don't love Gods law, nor do you uphold it and its standards!

I am asking you, who believe that we are delivered from keeping the Law, if you think it is OK to covet?

You know my stance on the Law.

Its very simple...love :) ...by the Spirit of God...have you been listening?

So, do you rest on the Sabbath? Do you attend a holy convocation on the Sabbath? Or do you just pay lip service to love fulfilling the Law?

God's law is become spiritual to all who come to Jesus Chrisst in spirit and truth, however this is only true for those who know it. Yes, it is inscribed on the inward pars, on the heart, and being so, we know the written laws and which are extant today. The Holy Spirit tells me any law telling me to be good, though now unnecessary in writing for me because of Jesus Christ, is still in existence. Would you tell me to dishonor God by worsipping an idol, or to disrespect my parents? Is it just fine to bear false witness or to lie, or to steal. Is coveting now the way? Shall I lust after another's spouse? If I find my enemy's ox straying shall I keep it? Now the laws concerning the Temple are not to be followed, but the Holy Spirit in me tells me this right off, also the levitical instruction in the law cannot be followed for we now have one High Priest.

Why don't people who think the law is abolished jsut because it is spiritual, study the law, all of it, and with the Holy Spirit guiding you, you will find the law is indeed good and wise. You will also see by circumstances the the majority of them ae not applicable due to the change from a physical Israel with it's Jerusalem here on earth to the spiritual Israel with its Jerusalem still awaiting God's bringing it down to us. You all know we are of the faith of Abraham, correct? He was first told of Jesus Christ coming to be a blessing to all the nations, being the Gate for us to all join together witht he Israel of God. It is in the Book.

God bless all.

What? You guys talk in circles! read the bible!

Ro 7:6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.
7 ¶ What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.

If you really want to fulfill the law? Love.....this is the simplicity that is in Christ! All this complicated nonsense is of the devil!

How can I covet from those I love...I desire they have more and have it in abundance...I look to give and not take! Love alone fulfills the law :)

When one has the law written on their heart andinward parts, it is only natural when they read and study the law of God, the hear will leap with joy in understanding..

One cannot receive the grace of Jesus Christ without being aware of the law, for it is the law broken which causes sin.

This is elaborated upon in post 139. The knowledge is from the Holy Spirt, it is not a mere concepttion of the flesh.

See its not really about keeping the commandment for legalist...because in love you look to give and not take...you more than fulfill the law! Its really about legalism...and its the self-righteous legalism they love! They don't REALLY love Gods law!

So whats your point? You keep giving your opinion and it really seems your saying a believer is not under the law of Moses, but yet you don't seem to know what the law of the Spirit of life in Christ is? Or do you seem to agree with love as the fulfillment of the law?

Yes I have entered into Gods Rest... :)

Not what I asked and not what the N.T. says about the rest...

Heb 4:9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.

Unless you are being less than honest here, you know that word for rest is Sabbatismos and means keeping the Sabbath.

Heb 4:9 Therefore remains a keeping of a sabbath for the people of the God. - Diaglott

Bullinger has...

Heb 4:9 There remaineth therefore a Rest Day to the people of God.

And what day is the rest day?

Heb 4:4 For He hath said in a certain place concerning the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest on the seventh day from all His works.

Which day? The seventh day.

So are you keeping the seventh day Sabbath?

Hmmm, much more righteous than honest Paul...

Rom 7:14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
Rom 7:15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
Rom 7:16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
Rom 7:17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
Rom 7:18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
Rom 7:19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
Rom 7:20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
Rom 7:21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
Rom 7:22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
Rom 7:23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
Rom 7:24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
Rom 7:25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

Paul understood that he was not perfect in love or obedience yet and that he still dell prey to the flesh.

Are you telling me that you do not?

That you never sin?

correct it is about pumping themselves up, Telling everyone what good holy righteous people they are, but I wonder do they DO any good???

Why don't you just go ahead and judge me now? Oh wait, you already did...

The entire Bible is the Word of God, not just the Epistles of Paul. My posts are based on the Word from Gnesis through the Book of Revelation, and including the Epistles.

It seems thos opposed to loving the law are not using the entire Word as a bsis for their authority,l. The Authority of course is God.

Is is sad so many here do not see how, as Tribesman has so well indicated, the law points to Jesus Christ. Learn the law before attempting to say it is not something to be loved, as it is written.

Anyone with the law written upon the inward parts and heart are knowledgeable of this. The law is to be understood, not feared. After all, we who have the law written on our inward parts and hearts live in grace, so we have no fear of the law.

REad all of Romans and see, the law is good, not evil. Paul says it. It is in the Book.

God bless all.

You already have my response based onthe Word, not on my opinion. Good bye.

That is very interesting, so while pulling the trigger, if I do it in love, it is not a sin?

I see now how confused individuals can justify abortion.
